Just updated the manifest once again. Current count is as follows.

184 Captain's
114 Late
80 WLE
378 TOTAL DISers who have sent info to me for the website!

And it looks like 123 staterooms accounted for... :teacher: So, already over 14% of the ship will be Disboarders...:thumbsup2

Man, I step aside to get caught up on the Magic 9/1/08 5 Day thread and I come back here to find myself four pages behind again. I don't know how I'm going to keep up with these two cruise meet threads. :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

BTW, I not a big soda/pop drinker, but I do have my favs, they are: Pepsi, Dr. Pepper and Ginger Ale, I always drink ginger ale on our flights. I will drink Coke if Pepsi isn't available.

My all time favorite drink is Iced Tea, I drink it year round, and is the first thing I have every morning. :goodvibes

Me too. How will she be able to tell us apart? :confused3

Hah!, I'll have 2 lobsters and a steak to boot.....:rotfl: .....wait do they even have steak on the menu that night??? I have no clue..all my other cruises have, but haven't done Disney yet.

We knew the Disers on board even without the lime green T-shirts. A couple on our 10 Southern Wonder(first timers) had lanyards made up with our 10 day logo cruise on the entire band. They also made name badges that went onto the lanyards with our Dis names and our real names. I got a lanyard from Castaway Club but we always wore the two. We could instantly know who were Disers. I am not sure how much they paid and all the work put into it. When we saw two lanyards around a neck, we knew they belonged to the Dis family.

This past cruise, I used the Alien Green Mickey heads, put my DIS screen name on them, and stuffed it in the plastic pouch on my lanyard with my Key to the World card.

I also put the Mickey heads in my kid's lanyards and put their room number on the backside of the card. We were in non-connecting rooms and my DD4 and DS7 often thought it was great to move between rooms, forgetting they didn't always have the key to the other room. They both got excited a few times and ran off without anyone to supervise them. (I'm such a bad mom!) I know at least once someone brought them back by looking at their number on the back of their Mickey head.

 I always seem to order Ginger Ale on flights too....

:lmao: Oprah cracks me right up (but she's so right on that one!)

I hear you about our vacation. If there wasn't that darn lobster to be missing, I wouldn't even consider dressing up this cruise. We did it last time and it just wasn't that enjoyable (no offense to those that ENJOY dressing up and getting all fixed fancy- seriously! To each their own..) -my feet hurt, we were all uncomfortable, and it wasn't worth the time we had to invest- and STILL we weren't nearly as dressed up as everyone else. :confused3

We were told on last week's cruise that we could order anything from that evening's menu to be delivered via room service. That meant Lobster in the staterooms.... We didn't do it, but we could have.

Were you in a suite??:confused3

Let's review....YOU are listening to Spaceship Earth.....on Park Hopper Radio...

and you think that somehow makes you qualified to tell US to get a life? :lmao:

Isn't that a little like Star Trek fans thinking Star Wars fans are weird?
UmUm well arent they?:happytv:

Besides I was working while litening to Park Hopper Radio! They call that Multitasking!:teacher:

Yes, they do. And speaking of gaining weight, there is a story I tell from our 1st 7-day cruise. We were seated with another couple and their son. The waiter took the order from our female table mate (lobster), then from my wife (lobster), then came to me. I ordered the lobster and then he suggested if I wanted to make it a 'surf and turf'. Both my wife and our female dinner companion immediately said "wait, we didn't know that was an option". All four adults had 'surf and turf' that night.

My DW loves to "dress up" and she bought me a tux just for our cruises. There are times that I think that I would like to cruise with just enough clean "undies", t-s****s and shorts for the cruise only.

Andy,

You could always start a Back-to-Back Repo + 5 Day thread. Unfortunately you're probably the only lucky DISer doing this.

But if you had to choose one, we're more fun. Plus we need all the Swabbies we can get. pirate:

Menu from last week's Captain's Dinner -

Baked Lobster Tail
Veal Roasted with Shallots, Fennel, and Vin Santo
Sesame Seared Tuna Loin
Grilled Venison Medallions in Stilton and Red Currant Jus
Fettucine with Parmesan Crusted Chicken

Lighter Fare
Roasted Cornsih Game Hen
Grilled Grain-Fed Sirloin of Steak
Oven Baked Fillet of Salmon

So yes, they do offer lobster and steak on the same evening. :thumbsup2

I got pictures of almost everything on the menus every night. Yum! I may make a scrapbook of just the wonderful things you can eat on the cruise. I got all the menus, too. I didn't get the dessert menus though, so I won't be able to identify all the yummy desserts. :sad2:

Good to know.

At first I was thinking you're little story was amusing....then I got offended...not at you, but the waiter....why wouldn't he offer the surf n turf to the ladies????

I always love explaining food to new cruisers. In fact, thats how I convinced a few of my friends to join me on a cruise. I told them how you could eat all day....order room service all day...eat in the dinning room, then eat at the buffet, then eat at the pizza/hot dog/ice cream places. And if you want multiple soups, entrees, desserts in the dinning room, just order it.

I even had a co-worker come back from a cruise and tell me how his family would all order different things so they could try each others. I asked why they just didn't order 2 different items. He was so mad, he said he didn't know you could do that!

I will not drink Pepsi of any kind! If I can not get a Diet Coke (when I want a soda) then I will drink tea.

My real drink is coffee though. I am known as a "Coffee Snob"

Yes, I guess I'm a little obsessed with food. Got the hips to prove it too.
