8/17/08 Captain Jack's Repossession Repo Cruise to PC thru TPC Part 4

You know, I heard about this family, but had not seen anything until I linked your post. It literally brought me to tears. When all the character & CM's came out onto Main St - OH, MAN.........pass the tissues please

Don't get me started on Shutters - to late! The only picture I wanted on ou cruise was a pic of the three of us in front of the Christmas tree on dress-up night. So we wait in line for 30 minutes, and the photographer takes two pictures of us. After dinner I make my way over to Shutters to check it out, but first wait on line to find out if there is enough time for them to make up the Christmas card package, which the lady behind the counter finally agrees there is time. I go to get our pictures and the are both absolutely awful - DH was wearing his glasses in both the flash was reflected on them, and they had him is some weird pose where his head was practically all the way back. Needless to say, I was very disappointed. I figure on this one we will have many more opportunities for photos and hopefully will get a good one of the three of us on one of the formal nights for Christmas cards in 2008.

I shoot a lot of my own...

... since it is sort of my hobby to shot digital photos. On our last sailing - the 11 nite southern with the Wonder I shot in excess of 3,000 images on two camera bodies! I kno... I'm a nut... but at least I have all kinds of images to remember the trip by...

I agree with the shutters issue.....they shouldn't print all the pics or let you stack and not move them about...Ideally they should do a photo pass type system....

My last cruise in Aug '06 I saw someone take their stack of photos and just walk out with them because the line was too long!

Aw, well based on this and posts after yours- if it's done when we're at port anywhere we will probably miss it- as we intend to be off the ship at ports and then rushing back to get ready for show/dinner.

Since being downsized, the get together has been around 11 am or 2 pm on a sea day.

Thanks to whoever it was that told me to call CC# to get my reservation numbers (I'm so sorry I can't remember who it was!!! ack!)

I called the number you gave me and they were able to pull up my reservations with my CC #s (that I had just gotten via email since it was never mailed to me after the last cruise in May/June) and so now I do have reservation numbers to check it online.

I was just checking out the main board, the DCL door sign post to be exact, when I came across this photo.

Is it me, or does it look like a Hidden Mickey? Maybe I've been brainwashed by "The Mouse"!

FYI - Each dining room holds 400 guests, so we will be taking over a half a room on early if everyone on the WL gets moved, and 1/4 a one on the late!

That is good because no matter where we are we will be able to see other DISers.

I take alot of photos too....BUT I like having pics of me and BF...SO I wanted some of them...ok I bought a good amount! I will have to budget for them!

I got a confirmation from DCL in the mail today... however, the prices did not reflect my OBD ... nor did the 2nd cabin I booked show up. The 2nd one is for my in-laws.

Price didn't reflect OBD? Uhoh

Honestly I'm wondering HOW we would possibly know if our TA's quote included the OBD when they did the transfer for us? I mean with the prices changing so quickly that day and having NO IDEA exactly when the TA was able to get thru to transfer our dates to this cruise, there is no possible way to know what the amount would be without the OBD or with it. So we just have to take their word for it that they did get us the OBD, I guess.

It probably means that we will have two dining rooms on early and one whole one on late. People keep joining this crazy bunch of pirates everyday and there a quite a few people who have posted on the main board that they are going but haven't posted on this thread. I think that in time we will end up with around 600 people.

DISREGARD MY MATH - EACH DINING ROOM HOLDS 400 PEOPLE. I'M SWEARING OFF MATH FOR THE REST OF TODAY!

You also need to factor in a couple other things...not everyone on the manifest will want to link dining & those that do will have other members of their traveling party to link with them.
