Not sure the direct posts, but some that I wrote down to check into Access America, TravelGuard, insuremytrip.com.

I haven't decided what to use for myself. But for my parents, who are over 75 and need something that covers pre-existing, the insurance through DCL was the best. Everyone else wanted to charge double what DCL is charging.

We have used Travelex (specifically Travelex Lite) for our cruises.

I read somewhere once (recently) that there is a company that you can buy insurance for that will cover you for all your travels in a 12 month period.

I know the UK has it and someone mentioned a company in the US that had it also. If anyone knows the name, can you post it?

I am officially writing to say Hello!!! I swore to myself, " Self, you can't post until you have read all the posts so you know what you are talking about" Today I told myself "the H E double toothpicks with that because the thread moves to fast that by the time some one reads what I write it won't matter if I don't have a clue what I said"
Now that I have totally confused myself, let me introduce myself.
My name is Laura and my husband Mark has just booked us on this cruise. I am sure that he has posted that we booked but darned if I can find where it is in the multitude of wonderful discussions going on here. His screen name is Disneypilots, in case we ever get to post again.
We are traveling with our DD who will be 17 and an entering her senior year the week after the cruise and our DS who will be 15 and probably wanting us to drive to LA so he can get in his miles to earn his Drivers license. Also, traveling with us will by my MIL and FIL.
Can't wait to meet all of you wonderful pirates and wenches, swabbies too. I do have to say that I am looking forward to meeting Todd as he has claimed the role of "THE" Pirate for this cruise, however, my DH has been calling himself Pirate for years now and will all ways be the true Pirate in my heart. I guess I will have to make us costumes. BTW I have two live parrots if someone wants to figure out how to smuggle them onto the ship for their costumes. Can't guarantee you won't need an eye patch afterward however.
I started to read the posts and read 250 yesterday and was heading for more today but real life keeps interfering. Hate that.

We have been to Aruba and will gladly give you directions to the bars. Or you could just take the Jolly Pirates cruise. The best time.

Don't have a tattoo but would love to see others, to get ideas of course
I don't care much for lime green but would gladly be tagged with a bracelet. Will need to read more to figure details on how to get those.

I just purchased my travel insurance.I f anyone has a preexisting medical condition it has to be purchased between 10-14 days from the date of the deposit. Different companies have diff time retraints. We used travelinsured which we bought last time with AST. We need to have the med covered.

Anyway, we had 4 Wonder trips total of 14 days and the Magic will be 15

Andrew, will your daughter have any problem with flying? I just remember how I suffered as a child with my ears.
DH had his first round of his Synvisc shots in the knees. This time they approved both.

The kids need to be shuttled back to mom now as she gets off work at 4. They are extremely loud today Glad to hand off as we get to do this again tomorrow but with soccer practice included.

We've got a WDW vacation planned for April of this year (which includes 4 days on the Wonder), I'm all excited to throw all expenses from this trip onto my Disney visa card to earn those points ... I'm ALSO considering NOT transferring the points already accumulated (don't have anything expiring) so that I can use those on the repo too

Anyone else using upcoming vacation plans as a rationalization for the expense of this cruise

I ask, because at the pace we're going (about 2 hours behind yesterday) the 15K Pirate may happen at about 7:00 a.m. GMT. Most of the US Wenches will still be sleeping. Maybe you could steal that one for us.

It will also be the 1,000th page of this thread.

Now if there is a lot of chatter tonight, it may fall earlier, but it looks like we rund about 26 to 27 hours between Pirates.

I know that most insurance companies have a pre-existing clause, but don't they have a wait period if you don't purchase within 10-14 days of first deposit?

I thought that some had 30, 60 ot 90 pre-existing clauses? If that is the case, couldn't a person wait until about 190 days out (90 day cancellation with DCL and 100 days to give you 10 extra days for the 90 pre-existing waiting period)?

Don't get me wrong, if a person has a condition, I would definitely get it as soon as possible. But if a person wanted to delay this expense, couldn't they wait until the beginning of next year?

That is how DW is. She said that the Oct '07 cruise $ will be put towards the Repo '08.

I'm still holding until the last minute to cancel the Oct '07. Wanting to see what happens with the tax return, tax prep revenue, and this year's bonus (we're a 6/30 year-end so I will know before 90 days).
