Does anyone know--

If I transfer my DCL ressie to DU, will I still be able to call DCL directly to buy stateroom credits?

When we know we're cruising, I buy stateroom credits for DH for things like Valentine's Day, Father's Day, etc. That way he gets a card from me and a small gift on the holiday, plus a big stack of room credit cards printed by DCL on the cruise.

I'm on a mission to make it an almost comical stack of stateroom credits, since I have 18 months to work on this project, and I don't want to be ticking off a TA by calling every 4-6 weeks to buy a credit.


Can you explain buying credits? I've never done a Disney cruise before. Is this just like making extra payments to your cruise so then you'll already have a credit balance when you board? Do you have to already be paid in full?
 
The agent I spoke with wasn't sweet and I caught her in a lie - first she told me there was availability but wouldn't change it even though I was on the waitlist and to call my TA - I asked her why it couldn't be changed if I was already on the WL - it wasn't like I was asking them do anything the TA hadn't already done - she said the TA had to make the request to make the change - what change? I'm already waitlisted as the TA requested, wouldn't that mean that the TA requested the change already? So I asked why we wouldn't automatically be moved if there was availability - she said that she never said there was any availability - what?:confused3 - you just did. We went round in circles for a few, then she put me on hold, came back a few minutes later and said that a supervisor made the change but that they couldn't make any other's because we are with the TA and now they had to call the TA to advise them of the change. I admit, I was getting to be difficult - but I've pretty much had it to "here" with all the wacky info and double talk - if she had been nice from the beginning I don't think I would of hesitated to hang up and call DU.

Then she said to call back if I had any questions or needed any changes and to have a nice day. Needless to say, they really need to get their act's together.

That sounds exactly like the CM I talked to the other day. Not nice, very patronizing, like they are trying to be nice, but it comes out sarcastic....I realize that they are going through alot, but I didn't feel that I deserved that, because I was nice to her, just had some mix up with a client.
Good for you for sticking to your guns.
 
My ressie at DU got assigned to the "Cruise Concerige Team" - I had worked with Debra initially - she's the one who got our ressie. And I was having one of those moments where it was all about "ME" and forget business!

That's who has my ressie also. I got caught up on this thread at the right time. I called DCL I was waitlisted orignally with them when I first booked cruise. CM tells me your still on second shows no availabilty for main?:confused3 She didn't even mention to me about my ressie being transferred to a TA. Guess I will send an email to DU and hope for the best.:)

I just noticed you can get a Cat 5 for the repo on DCL's website.

Not sure if any other room categories will become available soon (we're looking at changing our room location).


Somebody must have snatched it up. There's nothing availble now.

I don't think you need to be paid in full to buy stateroom credits.

When I did them for our last cruise I called the phone number for DCL gifts (800) 601-8455 and had them charge my credit card for a certain amount as a stateroom credit. Then I could tell the agent what I wanted the gift card to read. They said things like "Happy Valentine's Day" and "Happy Anniversary". The amounts varied but in the end added up to a nice amount. It was hilarious to see the handfull of cards and to re-live the holidays onboard.


OH! As an added bonus--if I charged the stateroom credit on my Disney Visa, I also earned points on that purchase amount.
 
Im on WLE and they havent moved me yet ....I even called and the CM said they werent doing that yet ...:confused3

YYYAAAAYYYYY! I love the DIS! I love you guys! We've been WLE but based on skimming this thread while checking my voice mails at work this morning, I called DCL & was able to switch to Main. YAY!

So I'm guessing that if we're ironing onto a black T-****, which one should we use? I'm not sure how the printable iron-on things work. I would imagine the black background would be better for a black T-****, that way there is no visible border? :confused3
OR, the white background would save black ink, and we could just cut it out around the design so that no white would show around the design...
Anyway, now that I have completely confused myself...

Also, this is the first time I've ever tranferred ressies to a TA, so I have no experience...For those of you who have used a TA before:
Will we still be able to book excursions and ressies online at 90/75 days out? Or do we have to go through TA for that stuff too?

wow, our site was at the 4th spot..that's gotta be a first! most
of the time,[ it's a factual], anytime -during the day or night,
its usually #1 or #2..
