ACK! The Noon news just said "Cruise lines including Royal Carribean and The Disney Cruise Line will soon be ending the use of trans-fats in their foods."

What will happen to the highly hydrogenated Mickey Bar?

Forget about that WHAT ABOUT THE CHICKEN STRIPS!

Don't worry! Some fast food places are already doing this. They will have the food. They just wont fry it in the same oil. If they did away with chicken strips & Mickey bars on the ship, there would be nothing onboard that my son would eat.

Ok, I think I have totally brainwashed my youngest now. She wrote a bunch of leters on a piece of paper and preceeded to tell me the "story" she wrote. Starts of in a car, then a plane, then WDW. Next she is in the kids club on the "Mickey boat" and talks about how good she is. Talks about some of the kids she met...


I think I like what I have created here.

If Hazel and I do the 5 day, either Angelina will go and stay with my mom, or, my mom and Angelina will fly back to NJ on 9/1 and Hazel and will fly home the following Saturday. I got the deposit in for the 5 day, I just have to wait and see how things go between now and next summer.

Well I had my good laugh for the day!

Background: We have vending machines in the cafe on the unsecure floor. One of the soda (pop for you Ohio folks ) machines is very, uh, tempermental. It's the kind that has the little arms that retract to allow the bottle/can to slide off the shelf and drop down. The little arm snaps back into position and blocks the next bottle from falling.

Well some of the arms either get stuck or snap back too fast thus preventing your item from falling. Worse yet, many times the bottle falls and is standing up when it gets to the bottom and so you can't open the door to get it!!

Went to get a soda just now and there's a sign on the machine:

I have been ripped off by this machine, YET AGAIN! Please please please fix it or bring us another one! And remember, we have access to WMDs so if this keeps up, your machine may turn into a smoking hole in the floor!

I would be leary of using a soda machine that lets the can/bottle drop so you can get it. How long do you have to tap the top so that it doesn't explode when you open it?

Just to say evening and is this a record my Repo cruise for 2008 is fully paid now!!!! Paid the balance tonight.

Congrats Andrew! With the exchange rate being in your favor now, this could potentially save you quite a bit of money!

For thoose who have nor guessed and think I am mad paying off the repo so soon is a question of the dollar rate/pound rate. Currently its just under $2/£1

A few years back that was $1.34 to the pound, now our interst rates are high, but you cannot guanrtee the rate will stay this high so its a risk, I have more chance to loose money on exchange rates than the loss of interest if placed on savings which would be taxed anyway.

Hope DCL give me a pessie for all that money their sitting on for this and my Med cruise this year both paid off.


Thank you, however I now have to focus on saving for the flights booking in September and my summer Barcelona hotel and shore trip costs!

That's great! Wish I could just get mine paid off...I think it'll probably take me until May...LOL

I am definately going to head out a week early. I want to do DL and SW, but then I was thinking I'd love to take a trip up to wine country. I have always wanted to do that. Maybe I'll head out two weeks early

If you're talking Napa Valley wine country, that's clear on the other end of the state, either an 8-9 hour drive or 1 1/2 hour flight. You could do some of the Santa Barbara wineries, only about a 2 hour drive or so. Just an FYI - traveling to opposite ends of our state is very unlike the eastern side of the country. We drive for 10 hours and are still in CA. Back your way, you drive 10 hours and you've crossed 3 states!
