Have fun!

I just love that dancing banana, kinda like Elaine from Seinfeld.

Thanks! I know he'll be wanting to go to the Lab, but I think his sister may want his company in the club. Maybe we can find her a DIS buddy to keep her company.

I'm sure that won't be a problem!:thumbsup2

Congrats Lisa!!! ARRGGGHHHH!!!!!

Good Morning Fellow Mates!pirate:

This sure is a busy board! It took me 3 hours to catch up just from yesterday afternoon.

MaryRose - you are still a riot!!!

Does anyone know when the room assignments will be given out. I have read that some have theirs already. I am OCD when it comes to this. I want to know so at least that part is taken care of and I can put the info in my folder.
(one of several already marked for this trip!! How many months do we have to go?)

Have a great day and talk to you later!!!!:cheer2: :cheer2:

I agree with 100% about the 10yo - most of them aren't ready to hang with the MS kids. I'm actually kind of worried about my DS - he'll be 13 1/2 when we cruise and I think I have more problems with the "free" atmosphere of The Stack (or is it Aloft? I get them confused). I was just talking to him again tonight about him meeting kids online before we go. He's looking forward to that.

I guess it depends on where you live?? Our MS doesn't start until 7th.

Your DS will have OQ still. My DD loves it and stays there the most!

Last cruise in 2005 I upgrades from a CAT 8 to CAT 4 GTY, It wasnt assigned to after the 90 day mark but before tickets came out at six weeks.

Now if they have had a lot of double booking quote requests and lots cancel they might be able to assign some soon as the dust settles down, and then update the website, look and keep looking over the next couple of days the deposits all expired last night the 2nd.

Good Morning All!

Judy, thanks for the summaries. After obsessing for the first 8000 posts, I have to get back to reality. I have two exams this week, and another one plus patient counseling next week. I'll still pop on the boards when I have time to see the craziness, especially when I need a laugh. You guys are all great!

The deposit is made so we're official. I checked our online ressie, and still no room assignment. But we were waitlisted for early dining when our TA made the ressie, and that came through, so now we're at Captain's Dining. My kids are troopers, but the late dining, especially with the time change, may have been rough.

Andrew, love the pictures! I saw them on the picture of the day thread. That's part of the reason we splurged for one verandah (and a cat 11 too- family of 5). I think my favorite is the one of your family on your verandah waving. Did you know ahead of time that they would be doing that, or was it just a case of right place-right time. I'd love to get one, but I don't think I'll be on the verandah the entire day. Although if we keep the rum flowing, I guess that's not such a bad place to be!

Well, off to study. Talk to you soon!
Mike

Phew. Now I'm caught up. Just need to duct tape the logo on my pooh mug so I can have my morning coffee.

Anyone else keeping it a secret?
We're keeping this cruise a secret from the boys. Just tonight at the dinner table they were practicing their Disney Magic horn blow. We've been listening to it for months. There is no way we'e going to get them wound up for this cruise nearly 20 months beforehand. Especially since we're hitting the world for 10 days this August.

so, very unfortuantely that means I can't add the totally awesome logo to my signature or add a ticker. :sad2: They like to read over my shoulder when I'm on the boards and would totally notice it.

Besides, it'll be kind of fun to just show up at the Magic and "see if they'll let us on board". They'll be coming out of their skins!

For our cruise last year, we left WDW and told the kids we were, "Going to go look at the ocean since we're this close." We happened to find the ocean near the port, where I promptly announced that I needed to use the bathroom....maybe Disney would let me use theirs since I still had my t-shirt & ears on from WDW. As we sat on the drawbridge near the terminal, I flipped down my windshield visor, and a note from Tinkerbelle fell saying, "You are going on a Disney Cruise" with the date. The kids were in shock all the way through the check-in process, picture with Minnie & walk through the ear tube. The blank look last through lunch, and the giggles started at the Mickey pool.

While they were swimming (DH supervising) I went down to the room to unpack quickly. I wasn't gone long enough for them to notice. When we went to the room after swimming/for muster drill, they found their clothes (princess dresses, priate costumes, etc.) in the closet and it was at that moment that it sunk in that we were really going to be going on the cruise.

We're going to do our best to keep this cruise under wraps for a while. As much as I'd love to show up at the port, I think it will be more important to have the kids make some DIS friends and learn a little about the geography, cruise ports, etc. prior to getting on the ship this time. Still, if you can pull this off as a surprise, it's worth it for that big WOW.

Hey all, at what point do we have the "Fish Extender" discussion?????

:figment:

Oh look, I got a good post 9350!!!

Judy--

They were talking about how the 10-14 year old kids program was split into 2 age groups part of the time....I think?
