As I was walking out the door this morning on the way to work, Cherie said "Oh, did I tell you Disneyland called?" I have been waiting since last Tuesday when I called for reservations for the call back from group dining. This is my first experience with them and I really don't like leaving a message on an answering machine and they don't get back to you for a week. Anyway long story short.

I will PM everyone this information. We have a choice of 3 tables of 10 or 2 tables of 15. I have to call them 2 days prior for our final count.

I wish I was coming to meet you all too But, I have to wait until August. I also found out this is the same weekend as my 25 yr reunion. But you all are going to have a wonderful time. Will someone get a Monte Cristo for me and ship it to Louisville.

We would like to do one of the Italy ABDs in 2009.

I would like to do the Southwest perhaps in 2009. They have a nice looking tour. I love having everything taken care of.

DS brought over his scanner for me so I can scan all my old slides into the computer. Slow work but worth it. The depressing side however is seeing us as young 20 yr olds. Ah to be young again.

Good morning! It is up to 11 degrees here. DS8 is off school and is here at the office with me. DH decided to work from home today. My crazy parents are going to take DS to Chuck E Cheese a little later, so I should get some peace and quiet then.

I guess we are really lucky with MILs in our family! DH's mom is lots of fun and we have traveled with her several times - we would love to have her on the TOAL, but her DH (my DH's step-dad) has a serious heart condition so they do not want to travel out of the country. Dh gets along well with my DM - good thing since we live so close and I work with my parents! My parents cruised with us a couple years ago and we all had a great time.

May CAN'T come soon enough for me !! I say this because even though our cruise is paid for I feel like things keep coming up for us to cancel. Once May has come and gone then I feel we are past that window. Make any sense??

No as of right now we are not cancelling cruise and NO matter what party is set for March 30th. I already signed contract and gave them a check.

Now here is the short version on what's going on..........such as life Chuck got @##%%^& by his company. They want him to go to fla. His contract is up March 31st. He was suppose to have a 4 year contract. Brooke has school till end of May.

We are moving but I don't know where yet? I will not move till Brooke gets out of school and I decided I AM NOT GOING TO FLA. Other then that I have no idea where we will be.

Tina I am so sorry to hear about Chuck's work. I hope everything works out for you guys!

Man alive, seems like our poor heater is running non-stop this morning. It is coming on about every five minutes or so, of course it is about 10* or 12* at the moment, but I know of much colder places than this........

OK, I was off by a few degrees, just went and checked Yahoo Weather, it is 16* but the windchill is 2 above zero...........like I said..........

It is single digits right now. Brrrrrrr!

I have to make a BJ's run today, and I'm putting it off.

For some strange reason my kids have school today. It was listed on the master calendar we got at the beginning of the year as a holiday, but we got a phone call on Thurs. from the school's automated contact system with a message that there is school today. DW has work today, so we're home, but if we had planned to be away for a long weekend, I would have been really ticked off.

That's weird!

Its January and I have not even thought about vacation in 2009. I am really falling behind this year.

We are tentatively planning a family reunion cruise to Bermuda, but the other cruise lines do not have their summer/09 rates out yet.

Debi, didn't you know we had to cancel this cruise? That was way back late Spring or early Summer of last year. It's been so long ago, I don't even remember myself now.

We've been to the world many times but this is our first trip west as a family and are total newbies to disneyland. Right now, we're stuck on where to stay around Disneyland. Does anyone have any suggestions of the hotels/motels on S. Harbor? We're a family of 8 so we're used to getting connecting rooms. We'd love to stay at one of the Disney hotels but are aware of the savings staying at the others.

Welcome aboard. This group is a fun bunch of pirates.

We'll probably be staying at the Best Western Park Place - right across for the main mall entrance between DCA and DL. We have stayed there before and we book one of the mini-suites - two queen size beds and a sleeper sofa. Works well for our family of four. They also include a real basic breakfast - at least it fills the bill til snacks or lunch in the parks.

Welcome Aboard

We are staying at Paradise Pier, so I haven't researched any of the other DL hotels. You might want to check on the DL boards---they really know the area. But there are quite a few on this thread that are familiar too. I know there are quite a few that are staying at the Hojo.
