8/17/08 Captain Jack's Repossession Repo Cruise to PC thru TPC Part 2

We're booked on the eastern repo and have decided to spend a couple of days before at Disneyland. We've been to the world many times but this is our first trip west as a family and are total newbies to disneyland. Right now, we're stuck on where to stay around Disneyland. Does anyone have any suggestions of the hotels/motels on S. Harbor? We're a family of 8 so we're used to getting connecting rooms. We'd love to stay at one of the Disney hotels but are aware of the savings staying at the others.

Welcome!!!!! Check out the Howard Johnson Anaheim -- it's highly rated on tripadvisor and by many on the Disneyland forum here on the Dis. Many of the people here are staying there, as well . . .

We are staying at Paradise Pier, so I haven't researched any of the other DL hotels. You might want to check on the DL boards---they really know the area. But there are quite a few on this thread that are familiar too. I know there are quite a few that are staying at the Hojo.

Wen't to foot Dr. and well I am not surprised to find out that he has to take a chunk of bone out and put a pin in. Another 6 weeks in shoe thingy after operation and 3 months to recover. At this point I am not even upset.

They will call me next week and let me know when it is. I called my boss and he said I have to win sometime............maybe I should play the lottery?

Yes, many of us are going cheap and staying at the HoJo across the street from DL. I figure i can sink the $ into other stuff this trip. (ie dog sitter back home.) Hey it doesn't seem to bad and i couldn't beat the rate i got unless i found a cardboard box to sleep in in the DCA parking lot.

dear pbger ; i watched a lil' of the thundering herd 's movie. very
heavy on feelings.....i just can't seem to watch the whole movie.
[its weird..knowing the story before watching a movie]. would like
to add...terry- the tailback who scored the winning td.."marshall,
could not had a better person....he was always very humble." ]

the year before...when terry was on our team...the biggest high
school game...in ohio, was between ports notre dame vs. ports.
west..it was before state playoffs...& it decided both state championships.
terry & dave ..will always be teammates. i'm gald you enjoyed the pics,
storys.

marshall's...legacy....truly a story worth telling...i think they did a good job-
stressing how they started from scratch....* in less than 6mos.,

texas. [ i have a friend..@ work, that's a "longhorn!" ] funny, we
have miami, fla , fla. state, osu, ou bobcats- , 'bama
..& pitt. panthers' graduates..making up our professional staff. &
working together..sorta of....

...there's something..... , christmas in wdw. however, mk was
full by 10 am. unless..you were staying on property -they gave you a
pink slip.... , what we did? we stayed @ the resort...."pool
day".....[ i went the hot tub! ahhhhh!]. & later...did something i always
wanted to do....went around takin'pics!...we ate christmas dinner @
boma. [ because it was christmas...one thing i wanted to do..was take
pics...of the different christmas trees!] . then we venture on my wdw's
attraction...the monorail!...around the loop ..sometimes..we were the only
ones. * we were very lucky enough...to have a few dreams'encounters...
as we were only there for 2 days...& the 2 parks we did..were animal k.,
& epcot! ....* i guess..its a sign of getting old-er...epcot is our new favorite
..with a.k., a close second! [well, i 've always like..animals... -anyone
liking dogs..are ok..with me! ]. however, a very nice cm, allowed us
to "sneak in" to mk , christmas evening.....to take castle pics & such.
later, they did the good night kiss!" jordan's received..several special
pins...some from the most unlikely sources...

....but the most magically encounter was stumbled onto ..by me!
however, it was my kids....and lil'cutie pie..that received all the "goodies"~
like minnie comforters...{ps, i like soft things..even though..i may
have barbossa personaility, hemp! ~ }..so what did i get???
ha!..the privilege of taking their happy pics!.

obviously..i'm going to have to work..on my pathetic , lonely, pupppy
dog looks! ...maybe if just m., not to busy..she could offer her
suggestions? hemp? ..for working the actions & such-

i be there to take pics..so he can keep-sake, his magical
gatherin' dream come true! ] what friends 4, eh?

Thanks Lil' Grumpy. I saw the movie and it was one of my favorites of the year!!! I did manage to shed a tear or two.

Not being to curious but can you post some pictures of the vacation??? I never got to see the park at Christmas!!!

Its January and I have not even thought about vacation in 2009. I am really falling behind this year.

I was talking to one of my brothers, used to run tours throughout the country, about helping me plan a 2009 grand canyon trip. He was telling me how fast the better hotels fill up.

Unfortunately, I still haven't gotten my butt in gear to start planning.

Roger, I registered my choices for my clinical rotations that start in May. Jolly Roger's TOAL Pharmacy Tutorial and Preceptorship wasn't listed as one of my options!?!

I will feel so much better once I have my actual rotation schedule in hand. We get 2 out of the 9 blocks off for vacation. Even though I've been assured that I'll have off for the block that contains the TOAL, I'll feel better seeing it in writing.

Were in the same spot , think were going to do the World in April of 09 but after the PC were not sailing again till the inaugural of the New Ship ....

2. Should we be planning a Capt. Jack's Repossession Repo Cruise to PC thru TPC Reunion Cruise on the new Disney Dream?

We're likely waiting for the new ships too.
