Same here, back to work today. We had a very nice Christmas and this afternoon will celebrate again with my brother who got in very late last night.

The pressure to make the year is over.. still have a lot to do but not as pressurey..My boss told me that I still have a job in 2008. . at least for the 1st qtr.. ..I spent the 4 day weekend, cooking and cleaning..but i am done..today is work for both Dh and I although i am working from home today.. Eric has a wrestling match, Geoff is sleeping.

Just a suggestion but with over 5,500 pages and 83,000 posts (and closing in on 1 million views), it's a bit hard to navigate through this thread - and we're still almost 8 months out! Could someone put together an FAQ and post it at the start of the thread for those of us that are just coming aboard?

Ok lets talk Aruba. There was some talk back about 500 pages regarding the Jolly Pirate Sail/Snorkel trip. This is absent from the DCL list, so I emailed them. The date we are there is open at this time. They have 2 boats in operation with an early 9:30-2pm trip and a shorter one in the afternoon 3pm-6pm. Each trip stops at 3 snorkel sites (Malmok, Boca Catalina and the Antilla). The early cruise is $53/pp and the afternoon one is $33/pp. The morning one includes a BBQ lunch and both include Open Bar, gear and rope swing. Mark (Disneypilot) had mentioned that he did this excursion and really enjoyed it. Anybody interested in this?

This sounds like something we would be interested in. We love snorkeling (at least DH and I do and DS8 puts up with it) and Aruba has some great areas. It has been about 15 years since I was last there, but I remember good snorkeling! A Pirate ship with a bunch of DIS pirates sounds like a blast!

Believe it or not, I have already booked us online for the 9:30 trip! I like to get things done as soon as possible, and they were taking the reservations online already when I checked a few weeks ago so I booked it. If you end up doing a group, let me know and I will PM you with my name and reservation # so that you can tell them to put us on the same ship with others from this thread . . .

We are interested. (2A/2K) I looked on Google Earth and its about 5 miles from port to where this launches (following roads).

I was considering renting a Harley and touring the island. But not sure if I want to do that on my own or not.

Exactly -- I think the 4 of us were about $185 total, so you do get the 15%. When we get a month or so out we can gather names and contact them so that we get together on the same ship. There may be an alternate group that wants to do the later one, too.

AWESOME!!! I think the Escaping Moms would LOVE to do that!! We definitely wanted to snorkel and especially the wreck.....this sounds perfect! Either one, morning or afternoon...whichever fits our port schedule the best.

Roger, I think our family will probably be doing this as well. I'll run it past DW and the little pirates to see what they think, but it sounds just like what we're looking for. We'll probably do the early one. Thanks for the link.

For those doing the Jolly Pirate excursion in Aruba you can add us to the list. I just received my email confirmation from them so we're all set! It sounds like a fantastic excursion!

We just booked yesterday as well for the 9:30 trip.

Just went back and skimmed through 100+ pages. I know I missed some people. Not sure how many spaces that they have on this excursion but if you are thinking about it I would not wait too long. There are other groups of cruisers and space will fill up. I know 8 months out and we are pushing signing up for excursions, but remember that all of us signed up for this cruise back on 1/31. As time gets closer we will put together a list of all who signed up and see if we arrange to all be on the same boat.
