Tom, I sure didn't know that about you. What a great way to volunteer your time. I can only imagine the horrific things that firemen, police and EMS witness. All of them are special people in my book.

Rich did a year as a volunteer when we were in NY. Luckily he never had anything bad happen . Just lots of brush fires. But his friend was an EMT and he never spoke about some of the horrific accidents etc. I think sometimes you need to get it out.

In Aruba it is the 9:30-2:00 Jolly Pirate, Snorkel, Swim and Swing that some have signed up for correct?
I am going to sign up today. I was not impressed w/ Aruba last time so hoping this will be more fun than snorkeling next to the oil refinery. which is what we did last time we were there.

Dh has been a couple of times (business -- Brazil is pretty big in the leather biz) and I have a friend that is Brazillian.

I love going to new places!

My DSIL was talking about the research she was doing at Christmas. She found a site (Destination Weddings) and is trying to pick the best date for everyone, etc. She plans on having local friends and family on hand to act as guides/interpreters.
The only places outside the US that I've been are Toronto and the Bahamas so I'm looking forward to expanding that list in the next 2 years

Will make sure I check out the leather when I'm there

I actually got mine from Claires. I didn't want to spend a lot on it since I planned on taking it on every Disney trip with me. I'm very happy with it.
