Hi guys! Just popping in to say I completed my first full marathon at WDW this past weekend. Not too shabby for an old fat broad! Maybe now that the training is finally over I'll be able to get over here more often.
Happy day to all!

:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: Congratulations!!!!:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

You were mentioned in the 5 night Bahamas thread as having done the marathon . . .

I know what you mean, I am hardly ever on that one because this thread is so high maintenance! Quite a few are staying on, and I guess we will all be going through customs and getting checked back in for the next one together around 9:30 or 10 or so. I know that Pbader, winotracy, jeanneg, Disneysweetie, your group, and mine are staying on, and I believe got2travel and grandma x3 might be.

Hey my family and I are going on this cruise. I have a 15 year old and was wondering if we know of any teens going.

I would like to do the BOB as well but someone said something about the pressure on the ears.(mine are really sensitive since my tonsils were taken out as a kid) Does anyone know if this is true with this kind of equipment?

I know I've had bad days snorkeling or SCUBA, but I find that if I clear my ears every couple of feet that it's not a problem. If they really only go down 7-8 feet, you could test this in a local pool and see how you do.

Tom - Are these on the website? Could they be?

I am trying to find out if there is any interest in putting together a CD photo (sort of our own PhotoPass CD) of pictures on this cruise. I would put together the CD is there is enough interest. I see it being general interest pictures - the ship, the ports, characters, events, etc. This way I can tap into those that are more skilled photographers than I am (which is just about anybody - my method is to take lots of pictures and hope some of them are good).

Arlene I thought that we discussed this way back when. Someone would setup a premium account ($25/yr) which could hold 5Gb (50,000photos) and then circulate the the username and password. If we get $1/each from 25 or $0.50/each from 50 would cover the cost. We could then setup directories for each day/event so that they would be somewhat organized.

Either way, I'm in. I promise to send/upload only pictures of general interest.

Is anyone interested in a book exchange on board the ship?
Say if someone is done with their book they can exchange it with someone else that is done with theirs. Thought it would be a good way to limit how many books people have to pack, for those of us that are readers on vacation

Sounds like a great idea. Let us know how it comes together. :surfweb:

OK, I'm now caught up on the 20 PAGES of posts since I last checked in on Sunday night. *whew*

If you PM Tom31b, he can give you access to the members section of the website, which may have more info about other teens.

And I think we can do the customs thing and checking back in without actually leaving the ship ...at least I hope so ...

The email we received confirming our time (titled "Re: Canopy Tour Reservation") had an attachment with information about paying via PayPal. Could your firewall or anti-virus have stripped off the attachment?

Pamela (pdarrah)

Well it has never happened before and I checked with Roger and neither one of us have have had payment requested.
I guess I will send a followup email inquiring about payment.
Thanks.

:welcome: Aboard Mate ...Make sure you check out the website and be sure to be adding the cruise banner to your signature line or you could very well be walkin the Plank ...

Craftymouse did B2Bs recently and said they did have to get off briefly and back on again (before the terminal was even opened for everyone). My TA had warned me about it when I booked the 5 night, too. I think it is a fairly recent change, due to customs regulations. I was disappointed a bit too not to be able to completely stay on between, but I think they do try to make the transition fairly easy.

:cheer2: :cheer2: Welcome!!!!! :cheer2: :cheer2:

There are plenty of teens -- my oldest will have turned 16 by the time we cruise, and I will have a 13 year old (and an 11 year old) as well.

Recently Kayak and SideStep decided to merge! We're combining our strengths and resources - which means a better travel search product for you. Take a look at our new site at www.sidestep.com.

Interesting announcement

Welcome! Is your 15 year old a boy or a girl? I have a 15 year old son, and a 14 year old daughter.

Do you think we will have to repack then un pack ??? or just move our stuff ???

I think if you stay in the same cabin, you just leave all your stuff as is . . . if you have a different cabin you pack up and take your bags to guest services the morning of disembarkation and they will take it to the next cabin.

Craftymouse, if you read this, help me out with the details, since you did this recently!

I have put in for a request to be in the same cabin, but at this point I am cat 6 GTY for the 5 night Bahamas (and have an actual cat 6 room assignment for the TOAL) so I won't know until much closer to time whether we will have to pack up or not. Are you staying in the same cabin?

Has anyone had the Puerta Vallarta Canopy Tour request payment?
They sent me an email that they had me down for 1:00pm but it just seemed so casual I wanted to make sure I did not miss anything on paying them anywhere.

I got the attachment, but I agree it seemed very casual. They said they penciled me in at noon and that payment is required 3 days prior (or something like that). Is everyone paying now?

My 11 year nephew will not let you rest on the 5 night Todd! He called me the other day because he read the booklet for DCL and was doing a book report on it. I told him to write in his report that his Aunt Tracy was staying in the best room on the ship and that she sells Disney Cruises so anyone interested should call me :lmao: :lmao: He is obsessed with Captain Jack and wanted to know if we would have a Pirate Diner onboard (I finally figured out he meant dinner :rotfl: )

We have to get ourselves off the ship for 90 minutes. Our stuff can stay and housekeeping will move it for you.

I'm hoping my family can board the ship with me when we get back on. They are in a category 9, but since I'm in concierge I was hoping they could get on with me so we can get a family photo boarding.
