I'm doing OK here Peter, the weather today was absolutely beautiful and it's supposed to be even warmer tomorrow...........:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

My brother Pete's girlfriend just called from the ER of a Jacksonville area hospital. Pete and Marina's 5th month old baby boy had stopped breathing, turned blue and passed out. Please keep mom, dad and baby Charles in your thoughts and prayers. My mom's "friend" Walt had a cornea transplant today, and my mom can't leave him home alone to go to the hospital. When I get updated news, I will post it here.

Sending prayers for all.

If only I had a sunroom! :rotfl2:
I wasn't impressed with it at all since it is really a bunch of animated shorts as you go thru the ride. A lot like what they've done to El Rio del Tiempo. I guess that's a cheap way of putting a ride together. Just stick in a bunch of animation. If I wanted to do that I could stay home & watch toon Disney! :headache:
Good luck Cheryl!!! :wizard:

Diane use control.:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

While walking around reading water meters today I took a photo with my camera phone of this Hidden Mickey in one of the resident's driveways.

Most people would not see a hidden Mickey.:rolleyes1 We must all be really sick with the DISease.

Hello Everyone! I try to read to catch up every now and then, but life has been a little crazy! My DD12 had a friend pass away in August and that was hard for all of us. She was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer in Oct. 06, and from late spring to early summer, she seemed to be doing better. In mid July she started having some problems again, and passed away in August. We took a fall trip to WDW and MNSSHP, and came home to our 13 year old cat who almost died while we were gone. Fortunately after a lot of money later, she improved and is doing remarkably well. We went out of town for a short Christmas break, and came home to a collapsed closet in our master bedroom. Now, we didn't have our home flooded or anything after our record rainfall in early December, but still a mess, and we decided to replace the closet with some nice drawers/shelves/rods, etc., put in new flooring, etc. Needless to say, between the cat and the closet we could have paid for another cruise! Then last night, I got a call from my DS9's teacher and she said that a classmate of his had his sister die from an asthma problem last week. It is so hard to explain to kids why people die. This raised questions from him of if we are just going to die, why are we here? I told him that we are here to help people and do nice things for others and when we go to heaven we can do nice things for people there as well. Does anyone else have any ideas of how to explain this to their kids? It just isn't right when a child dies.
Sorry to ramble, and I realize that I don't really know any of you, but I did catch up on some posts and feel I know you that way. I just saw the pirate zone website and that looks awesome. Thanks for doing that. We are very excited for this trip and are looking forward to planning more. I hope all of you have a wonderful day and enjoy your kids each and every day! I'll check in more often now. Sorry for rambling and thanks for listening!

Welcome aboard.:woohoo: We do not consider anyone talking as rambling.:grouphug:

Hi Everyone. I need to re-introduce myself - I did at the very beginning and since then have only been a lurker not a participator. :confused3 My husband and I will be joining you all on this wonderful trip. Can't wait to get to know you.... from the thousands of posts I've tried unsuccessfully to read - you seem like a mighty lively group.

Glad you stopped lurking!!! Welcome aboard too!!!:cheer2: :cheer2:

Do you think we can put a hold on a few washer/dryers at the hojo designated for Dis use only???

Happy Birthday to all my Pirate friends!

Welcome aboard (or again!) to fellow new pirates!

Andy....keeping baby in my thoughts....how scary...

With my new found ability of being able to post pictures I'd like to catch up on what I missed:

Yankees DIS mini-meet, when Alex Rodriguez hit his 500th HR, DIS was there! What a great crew!

Hi Pete! I resemble that picture!

$14.99?? :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
That item was down to $7.99 and discounts on top of that a few weeks ago. I considered buying it for our YukonXL but not sure DH would let me sneak it on. He has not forgiven me for "decorating" his truck for Christmas a few years ago. I put garland, wove ribbon and added lights that plugged into the auxiliary port all along the top luggage racks. Looked adorable but all the way down to his cousins' it flapp, flapp, flapped very loudly and I could not roll the window all the way up because of the light cord.
It was so loud the girls could not watch their movie - another great Coral plan gone awry.

Hazel just got off the phone with my brother Pete. Pete said Charles seems to be doing OK and he was sent home from the hospital, but Pete and Marina will be keeping a very close eye on him.

That's good news!

I posted and it looked fine but now I cannot see my post. I am going to wait a few mins so I do not double my post.

Unfortunately, our insurance doesn't cover any type of Travelers Vaccines.

I just bit the bullet and got my 1st Hep A shot today. The cost was $35 for consultaion, $95 shot and $15 for administrative. Total of $145 for each of us. The second shot will be in 6 months which will make it a life time shot!!! We first went to see our internist and asked if necessary. She thought it was a VERY good idea to at least get the Hep A shot. I called Blue Cross and we could only find one PPO in the entire state to do it. As long as there is a Doctor in the office, Blue Cross covers it at a 100%. I will keep you informed. I am keeping my fingers crossed. I was warned about no water from any of the places we are going to or fruit and ice cubes. I was told that in some countries, the bottled water is reused and sealed with the country's own unfiltered water. I was told to not even buy bottled water in a foreign country.

My insurance would not cover a travel clinic ever!!!:headache:

Fruit is usually okay if you peel it and wash the outside with a wipe.:headache: A definite no was salads. :sad2:

The shot did hurt a little.:sad2:

Hmmm I may rethink my 6 hour DCL tour I was considering. Do you think DCL provides the water or the local vendor? There is no way I can last 6 hours on 1 bottle of water and no food.

Welcome back! Don't even attempt to read back....in fact you're probably better off if you don't! :goodvibes

I wasn't all that impressed with The Epcot Finding Nemo ride either. But it really engaged DS6 who kept point and telling them where Nemo was. I think they were aiming at the younger crowd - and they hit it.

Disney building rides geared towards the little ones? The nerve!!!

Andy...

I am hoping for the best for your family in these difficult times. I am not fully caught up - and in recent weeks I've only had sufficient time (and energy it seems) to catch up - and occassionally post something.

In this case, it's a special note of supportive thoughts for your family. I have not read the most recent postings - so I won't know if any news has developed yet... but just the same... our prayers shall be for you folks.

Still coughing here, alas Respectfully,

Tom & family

Tom sorry you're still not up to par. We've been passing a cold around here too, but not like what you've been dealing with I think. Although DH ended up with conjuctivitis on top of his cold. He asked me this morning if he could get me a cup of coffee...."Ah no thanks sweetie I'll get it myself!" I'm not touching anything he touches! :scared:

Diane use control.:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I've banned myself from Ebay...at least for a while! ;)

Debi, No they are not required. 6732 pages back we hashed through this. You probably should get them if you are adventuring out on your own and partaking in some rural areas and cuisines. The risk is very low for us if you stick to the touristy things and watch what you eat and drink. I brought it up because in my own opinion everyone should probably be vaccinated against these. Kids are now required (in California) to have both of these prior to school. None of us should not have any chance of exposure to B unless you partake in questionable activities. Hepatitis A can be pasted on by contact usually by food. This is one of those "Ounce of prevention" things.

My doctor totally agress with you!!!:flower3:

I give up trying to find a "good" picture of me. Apparantly my picture is only taken on vacation and most of the time I look not so nice on vacation.
Here is my attempt:

You look fine in the pics, but we are always the most critical of ourselves:confused3
I finally found a family pic where I don't hate how I look and my DD is looking the wrong way:confused3

Barbossa earing, bandana as background

I ordered an earing but did not like it so I smashed it with a hammer and saved the gold attachment. Then I carved my own out of a piece of wood and painted it with ivory colored enamel paint. Sorry for the poor quality pictures this is my first time posting pictures on the web ever.

Also have glove and sword which I have not taken pictures of yet.

Belt, necklace, buttons, baldrick, and buckles still on order.pirate:

Absolutely amazing & your attention to detail is incredible! Very talented!

Scary for everyone:sad2:
Don't really know what to say:confused3 I think you probably said it as well as it could be said under the circumstances:hug:

I went out and adopted 2 kittens when our 15 year old cat got sick with cancer- I so wanted to somehow soften the blow for the kids:confused3
Our cat is getting chemo and in remission so now we have 4 cats:rolleyes:

Gonna go hug my kids now:thumbsup2
