Ths pins had to be bought and that is when people sleeped in the Atrium...it was a sight to see. I remember getting a blanket had the Panama Canal logo, a lithograph. I think there was something else.. if I remember I will post.

Yes, I remember seeing the first pin on Ebay the second day of the cruise. The genius who listed it said that they were currently onboard the Wonder going thru TPC and would ship it after getting off the ship. Maybe that is the same person who edited the DU quotes? :lmao:

If I'm not mistaken on last years' 11 nite southern they gave us pins when we checked in at the pier... free. I'm not a collector - so I don't recall what the pins looked like - but we got pins and lanyards free. But we just used our DIS lanyards.;)

Yes that is the standard CC gift in the terminal now.

That was the May cruise that had to sleep over for pins. They had a very organized system in place for August - they had an order form in each room and you filled out what you wanted and put in a bin by Treasure Ketch by a certain date. Everyone was limited to one of each pin for each person in their party and one map per stateroom. Then if there were any left - they were up for grabs. They had everyones order put together and set up pick-up times in the Deck 2 conference room area. Again - very organized and very fair.

So unlike the resies yesterday. :sad2:

Lorri ---do you know this guy??????If not I think you two will meet up out there in the Bermuda triangle

I won't have time to follow this thread, but I will check in from time to time (and be utterly lost, I know!). We will be in good old 5650...hooray!!!!! Can't wait to see y'all on board (that is, if I survive the plane ride to the Med repo without going catatonic!). And we should be past cruise #60 by the time we sail through the Canal...woo hoo!

I must - think I'll send the boys on that cruise and join all the fun on this cruise! (Just don't tell DS it's in the Bermuda triangle - he's at the age now where he believes all that unusual stuff)

Also if you fly on JetBlue, SWA or AirTran, they price each segment of the flight so you might get a good deal that way, 'specially with dings on SWA.

Thanks for the insight...

... I had forgotten about Jet Blue from Long Beach... This might be a consideration - as wold SWA. Normally I never think twice (really once) about the cattle car lines. But in this case it might shave 1000s in savings for the 26 people in our group.
