POST SUMMARY 5501 - 6000:

- The stress of trying to book this cruise begins at 6:23 am on 1/31/07.
- Pirates gathered supplies of protein bars and caffiene to take on the DCL phonelines.
- Pirate children were being pushed out the door with a bottle of milk, a box of cereal and the words "You know how this works! Now scram!"
- 8 am and the madness began. Shock with prices online and unbelievable hold times. Prices started rolling in.
- Mary nabbed a deal for a room for 2 adults & 2 kids at $ 4,006,748.21!!!
- Lots of people waiting on the phone a LONG time. Resies are coming in slowly from the phone & online.
- The pirates were ready to rally and kill the beast themselves!
- Someone booked the Roy Suite!!! PARTY TIME!!!
- The beast was killed finally and the Tiki room party took over.
- Sk8 has lost it...There are 563 days 'til we sail. That means I am paying the low-low price of just $12.10 a day to hang out with a bunch of pirates for the next 18 months!- Prices jumping higher & higher every hour.
-

And I thought "I" was the unofficial official mathamatician 'round here...
My daily grind to stare out of a round porthole for 15 days is $12.07 plus one tenth of a cent. So THERE!

And technically... we have 563 days, 5 hours, 7 minutes and 55 seconds before we embark. And the daily grind rate to party with this band of pirates is $12.07 and one tenth of a cent! Uh... that's the same daily cost as before..... well.... MY calculations are STILL more precise as I took into account not only the hours, minutes and seconds, but the tidal flow factors, wind speed and galactic solar wind into consideration for my calculations.

Now... should I weight the cost with a time value on the money? Hmmm.... should I base the weighting on 10 year t-bill rates averaged over 1 year or use a forward looking 10 year t-bill forecast. Wait... I should only use a 1 year basis since....

ARRRRGGHH!

We are booked! We have two Cat. 6 cabins - one for myself, my DH and DS15, and the other for my MIL.

Just wanted to say hi to everyone!

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

That is just too funny!

our fax confirmation lists cartegena and aruba.
In 2005 we where orig. scheduled to go to Porta Quetzal (sp?) but that was later changed.

Just got through to DCL (42 minute wait) and they confirmed that the ports are still on the iten, just not showing up online.

ok I just looked at the ressies on line and the last 4 days are at sea... what happened to Cartegena and Aruba? and if they dont go to those ports.. will the price go lower since we wont be paying port chares for those ports??

The taxes and fees are only $54.24 pp ($39.24 kids) right now so not much would be saved and many would not be happy anyway.

Not to step on the toes of our "official" math geek, but I just thought I would point out that there have been 606 posts since 12:01 a.m. 1/31/07 (wacky DIS time zone)

I've got my brown jammie bottoms on!!!!!!!!! :rotfl2:

I can "top" that.

I'm not ready for any of that until AFTER I see my pshyco analyist today. I can't seem to get an appointment with the therapist this week as there was a sudden surge of calls this morning to their offices! Can't imagine why???

:confused3

I asked the CM about if I had to move the other two to the room with me if DH couldn't go. She said I would pay the going rate. She also said that if you make ANY changes after full payment is due (May 19,2008) there will be a service fee involved.

That is standard. I am talking about moving it in a week or so when some of these bookings drop.

OMG!!!!, My TA made my ressie for May not AUGUST!!!!

Called and got voice mail now i gotta wait....

Ok, TA fixed it but now I'm stuck in a GTY 10, Second dining, and a higher price...(wanted a deck 2 Cat 10 assign midships):headache:

Question..Anyone else get a Cat 10 assigned with 2A and 1K(13). what was your price? need to see if i can get some ammunition for an argument...:rolleyes1

Was this the politicaly correct way of saying "poop a brick"

Pleese...

... lets not give the undead monkey ANY ideas about poop tossing ... it's bad enough I've got my brown monkey pattern Pjs on... and as yet I have not donned my furry brown slippers yet.

For what it's worth, I am getting a nice massage from the undead monkey jumping on my back though....

Oh Yeah, I definitely think your TA owes you something for that major snafu of booking you on the wrong cruise and now you have to pay more for it! And I don't know what room you'd wanted originally- but it sounds like it wasn't 10 gty I'm sure? I'm so bummed for you :(

But I'm glad you're still going!

This thread is cracking me up like atleast every other thread now.

My eyes bugged out at the thought of how many posts just since midnight! Or that could just be that I have dry eye from lack of sleep. Oh my I'm going to be so tired this evening. Good thing the kids just have awanas and I can take a nap during that- I don't have to like sit there during bball or cheer practice or something (that's tomorrow night!) Cause I sho'nuff be tired and there's no way I'm not going to stay up now to find out what rooms I got and at what price!
