Oh no...

I decided to brave the wait time to check on the port listing. (Is Aruba gone for sure? What about Cartegena?)

our fax confirmation lists cartegena and aruba.
In 2005 we where orig. scheduled to go to Porta Quetzal (sp?) but that was later changed.

POST SUMMARY 5501 - 6000:

- The stress of trying to book this cruise begins at 6:23 am on 1/31/07.
- Pirates gathered supplies of protein bars and caffiene to take on the DCL phonelines.
- Pirate children were being pushed out the door with a bottle of milk, a box of cereal and the words "You know how this works! Now scram!"
- 8 am and the madness began. Shock with prices online and unbelievable hold times. Prices started rolling in.
- Mary nabbed a deal for a room for 2 adults & 2 kids at $ 4,006,748.21!!!
- Lots of people waiting on the phone a LONG time. Resies are coming in slowly from the phone & online.
- The pirates were ready to rally and kill the beast themselves!
- Someone booked the Roy Suite!!! PARTY TIME!!!
- The beast was killed finally and the Tiki room party took over.
- Sk8 has lost it...There are 563 days 'til we sail. That means I am paying the low-low price of just $12.10 a day to hang out with a bunch of pirates for the next 18 months!
- Prices jumping higher & higher every hour.

Well, now they are back on, but 11s and 6s are gone. Also looks like all Cats are priced to the max listed.

Just got off the phone with my mom, she told me to take her name off our ressie when the quote comes in. She really wants to see us get on this cruise, especially since it was going to be DD's high school graduation gift from her mom and I. Here's still wishing!!!

This is mildly surprising...

... and on the other hand ... it is NOT surprising. So, is there in fact any orderly reason to how this is all unfolding? Maybe you just got lucky and when you got through something held at a lower price was ... released... and your CM selected for rates at the RIGHT moment to capture this lower rate?

Well, I gues we'll never be able to comfirm "how" or investigate "why" this annomally came to pass.

Good for you though in secureing a slightly more attractive fare then what you might have expected.

With the rebooking discount and the OBC, it pretty much came to the same as if I had booked online at 5am. Only now I have a GTY cabin instead of a specific #. Hoping for Deck 2 midship, port side.

Yes, I fully admit that I've lost it. It doesn't help that it is 7:45 am my time & I've been up for FOUR HOURS!

Oh & I scammed a way to work from home this morning, so I get to hang out for a while while I burn CDs for work on my other computer. YAY ME!

I just looked- cat 4, 6, 11 and 12 are not showing online.
Looking like that but not going to the confirmation page doesn't hold up rooms from other people does it? I cancelled out (by clicking "new search") real quick just in case.

The prices it's showing now for cat 7 is out of this WORLD! I sure hope (and pray and cross my fingers and toes!) that our TA already had our reservation transferred early this morning. Oh please oh please!

ok I just looked at the ressies on line and the last 4 days are at sea... what happened to Cartegena and Aruba? and if they dont go to those ports.. will the price go lower since we wont be paying port chares for those ports??

Yes, just email them the info to the address I posted a page or so back. If the email is dated today, you will get the OBC with DU.

What all do they need? The names and reservation number and what else?
I am new to this also, but want to take advantage of the OBC.
