Hi gang of pirates! Just got home from a reaaaaalllllyyyy long day of dance competition. There were teams here from New Mexico and California.....I'm beat. Jordan's team came in third in her class, not bad.

Did anyone get a call today? A few friends of mine did, but it doesn't look like I had a call....not on the Caller I.D., anyway. Think they'd call on Sundays?

I'm sure they do, I was just posting what I saw on their website. I was hoping they already had a monkey dressed up as a pirate, but alas it wasn't to be.

I showed the Pirate Bear to Angelina, she loved it, so I ordered her one. I even put my own voice message to the bear. The bear sings, "Yo Ho, Yo Ho, a pirate's life for me." I guess she will be getting it for Valentine's Day.

I WANT ONE! Did you order one for me???



Okay, I take that back. If I have to be sick and run a temperature, then I don't want one. Tell Angelina to feel better soon!

Congrats to DD! I am thinking about ordering one of the outfits for each of the kid's bears to give them on the ship. They always bring their bears with us so that would be fun this time.

I was trying to stay non-committed and not post anything until I was booked. You can see how well I did with that. I have been following this thread and LMAO.

We were booked in 2005, but my school started a week earlier than I thought, so we had to cancel. I couldn't miss the first week of pharmacy school. (And that was after I had gotten my magnetic door sign from Andy!)

Fast forward to 2008, and the chance to try again. It's the summer before my final professional year, and I'll be starting my clinical rotations. I've decided that I will pick the absolute worst rotation assignments there are if that's what it takes to be off for the August block. And if not, in true pirate spirit, I'm sure my wife will shang hai me and get me on that boat.

So as of this moment, we are committed to be on the Repossession Cruise. After all, you've got to

Good luck Mike and stay with it. Been a hospital pharmacist for 26yrs now. What school are you attending. Any problems and tell your profs that I will conduct a rotation on board, maybe write a paper. "A double-blind study of Rum on pirates and non-pirates"

Regarding the 31st, I had some bad news the other day

I work for the Government here in the UK and the main trade union for Government employees has announced a one-day strike for Wednesday. There will be thousands on strike all over the country.

I had already decided to take the day off in order to be at home for when the phones open at DCL (1:00 in the afternoon for us in the UK), BUT as I'm a manager with staff working in what will be a difficult environment, I MUST go into work to show support for all the staff who are actually there.

I have reluctantly decided that whatever happens I am leaving at 11:50 to travel home and get to the phones by 1:00. And no, I cannot phone the USA from work as the British taxpayer would have a fit.

I think this a fair compromise !!

I'd say that is indeed quite a fair compromise!
But say, couldn't you lock yourself in your office and use one of those really cheap 4p/minute calling cards? Of course you could feign ignorance--it's easier to get forgiveness than permission!

Hi to all. I was holding off on deciding on this cruise until I heard the price on Wed but since it seems to be all I can think about, I am sure we will book unless the price is way way out there. We are transfering our res from 12/8/07 to this one. I am sad about waiting so long since we were finally below a year and now we are back up there again, oh well, it is twice as long.

Hello to all of my fellow "Cruisin Castaways", I have missed you all. Tina, you are killing me with these food pictures, I am on a diet and you are filling my head with all of these images! A special "Hello" to all of my friends from across the ocean. When we get closer we will have to work on the kids exchanging emails again.

The updates are great (I still end up reading all the posts but it is good for a quick update until I have time to catch up. Nice to meet you all!

I'm going to London for two days in February, I'll have to find an Internet cafe to keep up.

Don't flame me but why is it the thread for the Eastbound repo racks up some 30-40 pages a day but the thread for the Westbound repo only has (as of 1/27) some 55 pages total? More enthusiasm over here or are the WB folks more and don't feel the need to share their excitement?
