NO this was plan before the atruim....lol........but I have video of it.. as I knew people will not believe guest sleeping on the floor..

It was arranged once we boarded the ship.. the cast of lumieres were great..

Just checked my calendar for May 25, 2008 and I am off that day. That is the day the Magic wil arrive here in LA. In 2005 a bunch of us went down to the port and had a DIS welcome party. When it gets closer we will get more organized.

And on the meeting the Magic thing in port - I would like to be on hand too except we are perhaps a good hour + from the port - and depending on when the Magic comes in we may have to contend with traffic - and there may be school in session... thus complicating my involvement.

I need to check a calandar I guess.

If me and the kids can make it though it looks like fun. Maybe make it a double header kind of thing if the Magic pulls in on a SUNDAY - then I can use my restricted DL passes to do a DL day too!

That would be just too convenient, eh?

I heard the cruise sold out - so I feel fortunate to have snagged a cabin. The big problem now is how are we going to keep this secret from the boys (DS5 and DS9) for a year and a half!! Argh!

one way back from MCO shouldn't be more than $100 either (but then again it is Labor Day)

Seriously, We will have a party of 4, DW(RRBB), DS2, DTBD(Child due in May) registered for a GTY Cat5.

I called Member Services and asked them a few questions...

Q1: Any idea how much the special DVC Rate is for a Cat 5 GTY Room?

A1: We haven't been told and have no idea. DVC has not decided how many points the rooms will be, or how much the Dollar cost will be. In order to get the special DVC rate, at least one person needs to be travelling on points. We anticipate getting the pricing information sometime this month.

Q2. I read online that prices varied depending on when you made your reservations. Are you going to use the Tiered system as well, and if so, what Tier am I on?

Q4: Sensing a pattern, I tried a different line of questionining... What exactly does a catagory 5 Gauranteed room mean?

What can we expect "special" for this cruise? (I mean besides the fact that we get 15 nights on the Magic!!!

Like did they do special stateroom gifts for CC members? Or special pins? I wanna know I wanna know!!!!

Yes, I'm hoping for a lower airfare...but if I leave the Disney-Priced airfare I can show hubby how much I "saved" by booking on my own, and then I can bask in my own glory....

The boat will arrive on a Sunday morning. Actually very few DIS's showed up in the morning to greet her, but that afternoon all of Ports a Call was packed to send her off on her maiden voyage. It only takes about an hour from here.
