Fall 2026 itineraries

Guys its not being released to atleast october.
I’m starting to think you are right. Which a few weeks ago I would’ve thought you were crazy. This still seems like something that’s going to mess up their fiscal calendar, but whatever they need to do. I don’t see any big announcement happening at D23 with the schedule that just dropped.

I also did not predict them going this far out either though.

I think Disney has expanded very rapidly in a declining market. And I don’t think they are the only cruise line that has done so. I honestly do not know what the long-term solution is with the number of ships they have and the steel already been cut Wish 4 but it’s not looking great at the moment.

Some of their choices are a little baffling to me.

I hope not. We need to finalise our cruise plans by October. We could maybe push it to mid October but that will make my job of planning stuff even harder.

If it wasn't for us sailing with family and friends and them wanting to do this particular cruise we're hoping for, my husband and I probably would have chosen to do something else, unlikely DCL.

We've been sailing every year since 2000 with DCL (Mostly Europe, Panama Canal, Hawaii, Alaska when the different itineraries were introduced in 2005 with the Panama Canal), and don't recall the itineraries ever being announced so late.

I wouldn't be surprised at this point if the announcements came out in October. It's baffling to me also.

I hope that this does not result in the new Magic/Wonder style ships being cancelled....
Magic and Wonder are not getting any younger. Other cruise lines typically scrap the ships at about 30-35 years, so I could imagine some of them are replacements.

Hi.. happy Friday..
This thread/group is super fun to follow.
I’m not interested in the cruise next year (already have a March and Sept ressie :)… but I have been reading the thread for a while ..

Hope the itineraries are released soon..

Congrats on the 50 pages on positive energy and camaraderie 😎

Clearly bookings are not where Disney wants... But that's what happens when you create insane prices while doubling your fleet....
Whilst the new smaller ships are bigger than the Magic/Wonder, they are likely the replacements for the Magic/Wonder. So I wouldn't expect them to be cancelled as I think DCL want them to then be able to retire the Magic/Wonder when the new ships are out.

Unless they decide they really dont need the sailings, but ive seen debates over if the Fantasy/Dream would be too big for the Alaska sailings. Also they are spending money to make the Magic suitable for Alaska, so I can't see them doing that just to scrap it right after.

Regarding price hikes, they are sort of stuck in the price bracket (if they do recognise its a bit too high, at least). If they dropped the prices for the next release then they risk people changing the cruises already booked for a cheaper option. Which is what people have done with the discounts offered where they can get them applied to existing sailings, or the offers came out before PIF so can be cancelled without penalty.

The thing that amazes me is how few people are even looking for discounts. Both my last cruises the amount of discussion in the Facebook group about *GT rates and people who missed out because they didn’t know is amazing. And that was after there was so much chat about these rates before PIF date. 4 weeks before the cruise you have people up in arms because someone got a better deal.

I'd be suprised if alot of them were almost gold or above status and had done it a few times. First timers or only a couple cruises, not so much, you dont know what you dont know unless you do the research, hang around the forums, or have the experiance. I suppose thats the bonus of a US style TA who will price track and let you know if there is a GT opportunity or something.

The last 2 cruises we did, transatlantic and Hawaii, the people in the FB group were very aware of *GT, except first timers which is quite understandable. One didnt offer *GT before PIF (can't remember which way round) but a quite a few took a gamble by cancelling day before and booking when they appeared the day after PIF.

The other cruise (i think it was the transatlantic) they dropped the *GTs before PIF so there was suddenly alot of people going from confirmed cabins to waiting for disney to tell them.

Unfortunately, I get seasickness, so can't take the gamble on ending up in the Aft or a high deck, especially for such long cruises, and therefore can't take advantage of the *GTs. I have said to my husband if we, for some unknown reason, ever decided to do a 3/4 night we could consider then to try it. For now we're stuck paying full price (minus placeholder discount) because we aren't florida residents, we aren't sailing with 3/4th guest, and generally dont get other types of non-GT based discounts available to us......Which hurts my deal finder soul a little 😆

Now we just wait for GT to come. Last year we took an Alaskan cruise with VGT price. This year we are going on the Norwegian Cruise next month which I knew months ago that it would go on GT price sale. Now I am waiting for pacific cruise next February to go on GT price.

Not sure how indicative of how soft bookings are. Were are two weeks away from a 3 night on the Wish. All I have ever read is how difficult it is to get a reservation for Enchante and Palo
Enchante is available night one for dinner
It’s available for lunch and dinner night 2 and dinner night 3
Palo Dinner is available night 2 and night 3.

Of note we booked this in May with the Disney Visa promotion ( we have the debit card ) for $250 onboard credit. Our travel agent gave us another $75 so I would assume we aren’t the only ones that took advantage of this promotion and if they used a travel agent may have received more OBC

Palo brunch is the hard one to get. When the Wish first sailed because they changed it to Palo Steakhouse that was also a tough res but that excitement over something slightly different has worn off.
