Were Back from Nashville !!!

Had a great time.......Got to see the live taping for the CMT series Gone Country finale that will air in January.

We stood 5 feet away from John Rich, with the Big & Rich Band, as well as the 7 competitors. Carney Wison of Wilson Philips, Julio Ineglses Jr, Sysco, Diana DeGarmo from AI, Bobby Brown, Maureen McCormick -Marsha from the Brady Bunch, and Dee Synder from Twisted Sister.

The show was incredible, talk about having front row tickets !!!

All did very well as Country signers with the exception of Julio........did ok, but not his kinda music !!! They all put their personal touches into the music.

Plus...... had a mini B&R concert, with Sysco, Bobby, and Dee performing their own hits. Almost surreal......

I left to take Angelina to her friends house for the night, the Rockies and Red Sox were tied at 0-0 when I left. I arrived home, to find the Red Sox up 6-0, I know Diane and her family are quite excited about now.............

Today we are heading to the NEW indoor water park to celebrate her birthday.

On a more serious note - I have kind of gone back and forth on whether to post this because I didn't want to make people uncomfortable, but here goes.....

In early Sept I was diaognosed with breast cancer. After many tests and surgery it was (finally) determined that it has not spread and my prognosis is very good. I started treatment Oct 9th, and have a pretty intense treatment plan laid out for me in the coming months. I have an AWESOME team of Drs and am totally confident that everything is going to be just fine. Most importantly, everything should be completed well within the time to set sail for the TOAL!!!!

One of the side effects of the MANY meds I am on right now is blurred vision, so I have been mostly in lurk mode and only a few pages at a time at that, but I wanted to say that when I do get to ketchup it is a wonderful distraction. LOVE the scavenger hunts!!! For my second round of chemo in a few months, the drugs are supposed to be less harsh on me and hope I can participate more. I feel so out of the loop here. I did get the recent Piratezone Newsletter, and again THANK YOU Tom, for all your hard work!!!

Debi - I just wanted to say when I read your post about your mamo, my heart sank a bit (mostly because I know that feeling all too well), but when the good news came forward I could not have been more happy for you .

Cheryl - Congrats on your results!!!!

I know I have missed a lot of birthdays and other celebrations, Happy Birthday & Happy Anniversary to all I have missed!!!!

Well, I have to get the day going. Julia had a sleepover last night and I have some Stinky Pre-teens that need to be fed.

Oh, and one more thing.............

That's me. I must have something wrong with me. I'm spending my free time trying to ketchup a few hundred pages. I just can't bring myself to skip any.

Went over and rounded up the kids to have their hooves trimmed yesterday. To give you an idea of how big they are, Kevin is 6ft.

This is Buddy(daddy to the 2 babies)

This is Sabrina,the youngest and tallest of our mares.

And this is Tinkerbell. All 3 of these mares are currently in foal to Buddy.

This is Buttons' first trim,she's 7 months. The only way to keep her still was to hold her against the wall.

Sorry to hear about the cancer but very glad to hear that the prognosis is so good . . .
