Us too Paula, though now DH is talking about booking for late 2009 and creating our own land/sea - 3 days at WDW followed by a 7 day on the Magic.

That would be fun Lorri. Always best to do the parks before the cruise:)

I would have just been more inclined to book if they had thrown even a couple longer cruises in there and with several new ports. I can't remember which ones the Wonder went to a couple of years ago, but even something along those lines would have been nice. And when they go back to Europe I would probably be interested in the last cruise and the repo back:)

I agree with you Paula -- if they had stayed in the Caribbean but done some 10 nights with a couple of new ports I would have booked, but I wasn't excited enough by what was offered in 2009 to book DCL . . .

Here's how we spent the weekend....

Thank you for great advice! Actually,we've been wanting this one down for quite some time(can't afford it). We were kind of hoping that the last big branch would fall off too.

I'm thinking your insurance co would pay for the rest to be removed!

No,they won't...we asked. Since it did not damage the house or any other property,we're on our own. We are looking at ice damage for the roof though.

No, no fishing. We are doing a 10 day tour. I am really excited about it, got Adam approved to miss 4 days of school for educational enrichment. We leave Jan. 2nd. I don't think I could handle a week long fishing trip--Alan and Adam would probably love it--but after a few hours I am ready to get off the boat.:)

Then obviously you are not drinking enough.

You know what they say: "Give a man a fish, he'll eat for a day. TEACH a man to fish, and he'll spend the day in a boat drinking beer".

Debi--those are some amazing pics, sorry to hear you had to deal with this mess. Luckily, all we got was rain from the storm, north of us, people weren't so lucky.

Debi, I just looked back and I guess my multi-quote did not work again!!! Its my high speed.  The pictures are amazing!!! You are so lucky it missed the house. That ice was really thick!!!! Did the catus make it okay???

We had a huge tree fall years ago just missing our house. When I called the insurance company, I was also told I was on my own unless it hit the house. :sad2:
After we cut the rest of the tree down, we got rid of the other large trees in our yard!!!! That was twenty years ago. I could just imagine how big the tress would be twenty years later.:scared:

Everything can be replaced except for your DH, Harley and you of course!!

You're only saying that because I know where you live.

I may not be able to type but I am not stupid!!!:lmao: :lmao: Speaking of knowing where I live, give us a call in between the holidays. John will be done working for this year starting Wednesday. :thumbsup2

She's kidding of course. She adores us.

You know I am jealous of you, Roger, Tom(crash), Chris, Arlene, Liz, Barbara,Stace, Todd and now Desiree!!! :headache: Did I forget anyone who else leaves in Florida, California, Florida, Nevada, or Arizona. It is cold here and snowy. It is not even winter yet!!!

How is Trevoy doing????? :confused3

Had a scare this morning. DS woke up and vomitted a few times this morning. This was one of the things we were supposed to look out for. The advice nurse suggested I take him in to his pediatrician. He didn't see anything wrong, but did another CT Scan and contacted the Pediatric Neurosurgeon who treated DS in the hospital. The scan didn't show any additional damage. But our Dr let us know the seriousness of the injury. It appears to be worse than I was led to believe.

I don't think the neurosurgeon purposely misled me, but a surgeon's beside manner is much different than a pediatrician's. Basically we were just trying to do to much. I've had him up and walking around too much. Yeah, you try keeping a 12 yr old boy down!! Anyway, we've got to get more bedrest. It's going to be several months before he is back to normal.

Oh, and got a call from my brother. He took my parents down south for the funeral. And my cousin asked him to perform the service. They are having some issues there as well. Someone tried to steal my brothers Suburban on Saturday. The repair shops were closed, so they couldn't get anyone to look at it today. And they needed to wait for someone else who can work on the steering column. So it may get fixed tomorrow, may not. No telling when they'll be able to come home.

AND

My mom took a tumble last night. Nothing broken, but she's pretty bruised up and has a few good sized (think grapefruit) knots on her hip and leg. She's on blood thinners so things look worse than they are. But she's in a lot of pain, but not really complaining about it. I'm not sure how she'll fare on a 8 hour drive home.

I want to know who I pissed off this year so I can apologize!! Enough is enough.

Monica, we're keeping Trevoy in our prayers - adding some extra for your mom and you too!

2007 has been a trying year for so many of us for so many different reasons - it started off with a bang (Jan 31 2007!) and seems to be ending on a whimper. I'm hoping that 2008 is better for all of us.:grouphug:

Then obviously you are not drinking enough.

I'll have to try that JR:rotfl: :rotfl: (Probably has to do with the fact that if it
is troll fishing Adam thinks he gets to reel everything in, it is funny how fast he can move to get into the fighting chair:lmao: )

Monica what can I say.  I don't think 2007 was good to many of us but you had more than your share!!!:sad2: I totally agree a surgeon has a different view point of injuries.

I guess there is a positive that no additonal problems showed up on the CT scan.:flower3: I will definitely keep him in my prayers. Just tie him down if you can. We will not report you. Does he now understand how serious his injury was???

Make sure your mom gets out of the car every hour. I don't think it would be good for her to sit for 8 hours.:flower3:

Please drop us a line to keep us informed. I know you will be busy but you do have a lot of friends here who are concerned.:grouphug: I wish I could help some how other than just listening.

You know, they say that God doesn't give you any more than you can handle.

There are some days that I would love to find the person that first said that and smack him one!

Keeping you and your many ordeals in my prayers.

Here's hoping that the upcoming season may bring some peace into all of your lives!

So far the cactus looks fine, time will tell.

Monica, here's to the end of '07 and the arrival of 2008. I hate to hear that about your Mom. :sad2: You know it is so easy when they are feeling bad--that's all the want to do is lay around. But it is a whole different ballgame when they are feeling better. I'm really glad your ped. explained things much better to you. It will get better:hug:
