8/17/08 Captain Jack's Repossession Repo Cruise to PC thru TPC Part 16

Thought I'd post a "few" pics from our rally last week. We estimated 60 scooters in attendence. We had one guy come all the way from Colorado! Some from KS and MS.

This is a modified "Ruckus". I believe that they are produced as a 49cc scooter. This guy rebuilt it and added a 650cc engine to it!!

The girl with the cast had a little "run in" with the small town cop,broke her hand putting cuffs on. She was little sauced and called him Barney Fife!

I usually quote everyone, but I'm feeling a bit dizzy today so I'm just gonna reply.

Sorry Mike that Nick hurt his arm! My DS broke his elbow on a trampoline & my DD broke her wrist roller skating. So really it can happen anywhere at anytime, especially if they're active. Funny thing is, I was always out & about playing in the neighborhood when I was a kid & never broke anything. My best friend decided to teach me how to ride a bike by taking me to the top of a hill & letting go. Needless to say, I went flying over the handle bars into a neighbor's yard. Lots of bruises, but nothing broken.

Stace, glad to hear it's not infected. Follow the doctor's orders & get better! Which means you probably shouldn't be reading this!

How was chat last night? I missed it again & I love chat! I ended up going to a make-up party at my neighbor's house. I'm going to add to my rep as a lush & tell you that my neighbor plied us with Margaritas so we would spend lots of money! It worked! It's also the reason I'm not feeling so well today. I know I make jokes about drinking, but honestly I can't drink the strong stuff. It never sits well with me!

Hazel was talking with my mom on the phone last night, my mom said her friend Walt is very excited about going on the cruise!!! Walt and my mom are so cute together, sometimes they make me.............

I am excited today!! Booked our flights to LAX from RIC and MCO back to RIC today - $336 per person with taxes for BOTH flights from Delta! Before we made our ressies DH decided we should arrive Wed the 13th in the evening. SO............who am I to question DH so I called Hojos and added a night onto our stay - 1st night will be a little more expensive than the other three nights I already had booked. Now we will have Thurs, Fri and Sat in the parks - 3 days - the best part is August 14 is my DS 13th birthday so he will be an official STINKY TEEN while we are in Disneyland! Next up - Disneyland tickets & transfers! Do we have to call Disney to book transfers or is it done online? We have always had Disney do our complete ressie so this is all new to us!

Purchased your flights for 2008 yet? I see Virgin is now £500 above BA, for the same class I booked in August.

No - still weighing up the options. Cattle class I can get VA approx £40/head cheaper than BA, & cheaper still if we go home indirect (MCO - JFK United then VA back to LHR). Cheapest I've found is United £589. Half tempted to wait for M&M if we're going to go indirect. Am hoping to get flights for £2K cattle class for the 4 of us, but will stretch to £2200 which is roughly what I can get if we go VA direct out & home via JFK. I'll wait for DH to return from jet setting to discuss. No point in trying now - he watched the rugby in an Aussie bar out there.......

I am very nervous about booking the flight home. I would like to fly home on Sept 1st but my choices for a direct flight are 12:35pm or after 7:30pm. I don't want to sit around the airport until 7:30, but I am worried that if the cruise is late that I could miss the the 12:35pm. It is a transborder flight to Toronto. I would love to book the 12:35 flight, does that seem reasonable? Has anyone ever heard of the ship arriving late?

Yes, I hope in 2009 the summer cruises are 'Northern Europe',out of Southampton or Dover, I bet Southampton.

Told you all that I would be MIA once school started in Sept. Well I feel like I could have written the above post. I also booked our flights from PHL to LAX, ended up going with Wed the 13th as well since it was alot cheaper, added a night onto our ressie at the Crowne Plaza in Long Beach. Now I can start working on flights home from MCO, and what we are going to do in CA (not doing Disneyland - thinking San Diego Zoo, Seaworld, ???) Our anniversary is the 14th so we will already be enjoying our vacation, instead of flying all day!

in being the mean horrible parent that i am i have decided to leave my kids home and just go with my DH. i have 2 pirate costumes that were only worn twice by my kids i have a girl toddler size 2-3 and a boys M he wore about a size 8 on the last cruise i should have one more girls toddler i just have to check in my camper if anyone is intrusted PM me and ill send them off to you.
