I have to say, they do some pretty awesome stuff these days. Underneath all my bandages is a cooling system. I'm attached by hoses to a small cooler that we keep filled with ice, and every so many minutes, the contraption pumps cold water under my bandages to help keep the swelling down. I'd like to thank the person who invented this amazing thing!! It really feels good when the cool air is on it. Way better than trying to pile enough ice bags to get all the way through the bandages.

I had one of these for my last 2 knee surgeries. Really helped with the pain.

DEAR DIARY: ..DAY ONE
All packed for the cruise ship - all my sexiest dresses and
make-up.
Really excited.

DEAR DIARY ... DAY TWO
Entire day at sea, beautiful and saw whales and dolphins. Met the
Captain today - seems a very nice man.

DEAR DIARY .. DAY THREE
At the pool today. Also some shuffle boarding and hit golf balls
off the
deck. Captain invited me to join him at his table for dinner. Felt
honored
and had a wonderful time. He is very attractive and attentive.

DEAR DIARY . DAY FOUR
Won $800.00 in the ship's casino. Captain asked me to have dinner
with him in his own cabin. Had a luxurious meal complete with
caviar and
champagne. He asked me to stay the night but I declined. Told him
I could
not be unfaithful to my husband.

DEAR DIARY .. DAY FIVE
Pool again today, got sun burnt, went inside to drink at piano bar
for
rest of day. Captain saw me, bought me several large drinks. Really
is
charming. Again asked me to visit his cabin for the night.Again I
declined. He told me if I didn't let him have his way with me he
would
sink the ship.

I was shocked.

Today I saved 1600 lives. Twice.

Monica...I don't remember right now which one it was either. I know it wasn't the one about The Beatings Will Continue......I think it was something about drinking....why would that be??

Seems when I saw it, it was hanging near the door to the store...if exiting, up to the right...on the wall....darn it. Maybe once the drugs wear off I'll remember.


And w/o being able to get at my paperwork, I'm wanting to say our weekend in Disneyland is somewhere around the 18-24....
I hate not being able to jump up and go look!!

Other would be princesses! I know at least some were in Traitors dining - at the moment we are in Captains, but we really haven't made a final decision yet. We usually have done late, but DH thought it might be nice to try early and see if we do better getting to some of the night-life type stuff...

Actually, I probably wouldn't mind being the only "princess" in Captain's dining if I knew there were at least some others around somewhere (in Traitor's ).

If we do this, should we go for the 1st or 2nd formal night? I'm sort of thinking 2nd since we should all be more comfortable with all our new/old friends by then and will feel less "silly"... Should we get Tom to put it on the website as an onboard event?

Captain's dining here, so you wouldn't be alone. I agree, make it the 2nd formal night. And yes, definitely needs to be on the website.

Someone told me about a pain "patch" too....seeing as how none of my meds were staying down.
I'm learning alot...and taking notes, since I have to still do the other foot. They think that will probably be in February....but I may wait until after the March Disneyland Birthday trip.

Jay said he knew I must be feeling better when I complained that they hadn't cleaned the stove after making dinner last night. Yep....the old "me" is almost back.

Hopefully, Stace your recovery over the next couple of weeks isn't too bad. It may end up working out better for you to have the surgery in early Feb and be pain free for DL in mid March.---just a thought

I keep saying we're not doing anything else till the TOAL, but then we bought annual passes in August so how can you NOT use them right? Aaaaand to top that off, NCL is launching their brand new ship the GEM for the first US trip out of Boston on Dec. 15th. It's only a 2 nt cruise to nowhere but also only $786 for a family of 4 for 3 days of all you can eat, drink & be merry fun! This new ship has a bowling alley, 11 bars, 12 restaurants (you get to choose when & where you'd like to eat) and includes an all night cafe.

Sounds fun!

Hello good evening and welcome, just booked my flights to and from the cruise, and I am going BA, Club world, had problems booking Virgin, pity I always liked their service, but get an earlier flight to LA, and get to go from the brand new Heathrow terminal 5, opens in March 2008.

I'm thinking how handy this will be after they take it off my leg.....I can slap it on to zap away hot flashes!!

Can I borrow it when you are finished with it?

Speaking of mini meets... I am thinkning about getting tix to Miley Cyrus/Hannah Montana for Atlantic City, NJ for Sat Jan 5. We could do a mini meet at one of the Casino Hotel's indoor pools!

Any interest out there?

Sorry Sil--Adam would kill me. But I am sure there would be some interest with the ones that have girls. Sounds fun

Good luck with that!! My DD is a HUGE Hannah Montana fan...we tried to get tickets for her concert here, then minute they went on sale and they sold out the entire arena in 4 minutes! Never even got thru ticketmaster.

Did both, checked on-line, and then spoke to a real human as, I wanted to charge it to two credit cards to get various perks etc, on-line they charge to one credit card only.

Plus they took some special requests from me,

Today is the first day on BA you can book for the return trip on 1st September, Virgin will be 1st October, and I didn't wish to risk that.

Thanks for that. Just did an on-line for BA, so I've got a start point. We'll have to wait another couple of weeks for Virgin & take it from there. Unfortunately it will be cattle class for us but we're going on a TOAL which will more than compensate.

Even more of a bonus I just checked my Virgin miles & got them for my recent BMI flight to Edinburgh and as the flight was so cheap (£76 return incl. ll taxes) I didn't think it would be a qualifying class, but obviously it was. Will have to see if I can use them for miles + money - even if it only saves us £200 that would provide drinks at the bar for the first day (I think).

Yes, for me its a tight schedule kids go back to School Wednesday 3rd, we get to PC September 1st, so fly out that night arrive September 2nd, I need that flight, I have already booked Disneyland from the 13th, and we have both booked holidays at work so its generally complete,Flight > Disneyland>Cruise>Flight.

Those are exactly the same dates we'll be going for. Are you planning on flying out of Miami back to LHR, or MCO to LGW?
