Before I play ketchup(about a thousand posts)I wanted to state the people I met at the mini meet were great!!!!!!:woohoo: I think we are all going to enhance the cruise by getting to know as many people before the cruise. :goodvibes We all talked as if we knew each other for years.:rotfl2:

I wished it would not rain on me while I was at the parks. I got my wish!!!! The first day I was at Epcot from 8:00 am til 8:00 pm. and covered the entire park.:yay: I had a pedometer and I logged in a little over 13 Miles. When we went to our car, the car was wet so it just rained in the parking lot. The park was so empty that people were not within 200 feet of me. It was like another dream.

The second day we were at Animal Kingdom and made a fast pace to Expedition Everest. We actually made the second ride of the morning. My practice at speed walking paid off!!:rolleyes1 I had to try the ride at least once before getting really old. :rotfl: It was a hair raising experience.:scared1: I will have to post the picture of sheer terror on my face. We then continued to Disney Studios for the rest of the day. We logged on another 9 miles for the two parks. We were gone from 8:00 am to 9:00 pm.

The third day we arrived at the Magic Kingdom for early morning hours again. We speed walked to Fantasy Land first. We were finished with the entire area by 9:00 am. We stayed in the park from 8:00 am to 11:00 pm. to watch the fire works and shop. This day was only 9 miles as I did no back tracking and just went on everything. We did not use one fast pass the entire trip. I was given one from a CM to go on Big Thunder Mountain to go again but once was enough.

Dear John surprised me and took me into the jewelry store on Main Street. :cloud9: He bought me a beautiful 14 kt gold mickey ring to add to my collection
. :dance3: This makes number 4 now!!!:cheer2:

It sounds like you enjoied a lot of Disney Magic during your whole trip! And that's simply beautiful!

OK, today just sucked bat juice!

My 'proforma' last interview turned out to be anything but, and I'm now back where I was before with the added deadline of getting out of the company as soon as possible. ARRGH! to quote Charlie Brown.

And, to add insult to injury. The car had to go to the shop today & we're out another $2200! That could have brought us to within $1500 of paying this trip off. Double-ARRGH!

OK, I've got that off my chest. I'm gonna go ketchup & hope that you all had a better day than I did.

Awww Sara...

.... I'm not certain what I'm reading here that you've posted - but I hope it's not what it sounds like. Well - if it is justthe same - may I offer some mild chuckles and suggest ya':

.... go get a nice cold Bat-juice, er... rather go get a nice Frapachino and try to cool your jets a bit. The nites' still too young to let let anything get you down. Now take a deep breath and ... as they say in "Bad Boys 2"
1f_7.JPG
.... "woooo saaaawww". And with that, I bid one and all a temporary good nite. It's 3 for $1.09 Taco nite at Del Taco. I'm sneaking off to get some unhealthy snacks! Shhhuuuu..... no one tell my sweet spouse...

:rotfl: :rotfl: You know they probably have her on a list now! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I'm sure they do as well :lmao:

Stace, I hope you are comfortably recouperating. pixiedust: and good wishes for you:hug:

Has anyone heard anything?

Paula, I love your new picture. I was telling Cheryl you were so much prettier than the one you had.:goodvibes

Two days in the hospital, pins and wires thru 3 separate bones, and one huge cast. Surgery went very well. All bones are now properly aligned. Next evaluation on Monday. Thanks for asking. Jack

Glad to hear things are going well:thumbsup2

Monica, good to hear your Moms feeling better. Your chest feels like you were hit with a truck when you are that sick. Make sure she gets plenty of rest.

Took this Wed and Sun off so I have a 5 day weekend.

Another late diner. popcorn:: I mostly lurk on here, but try to keep up with everything. This sounds like such a great group of people, I can't wait to meet you in person.:yay: I feel like I know you already.

Glad you are joining us. All the peeps are great on this cruise.:dance3:

You mean like, "Call me anything you want, just don't call me late for dinner"???

And may we and our children never witness anything like it again.:grouphug:

(and don't allow your husbands online when it's almost time... y'hear? LOL)

OK, I'm sorry already! Yanno, it's not like he listens to me or anything.:coffee:

Glad to hear she's doing as well as can be expected. Pixiedust: Good Luck on Monday.

As for 9/11....

Sil, thanks for sharing your impressions. That can't have been easy to get through.

Mike & I had been married Sunday and couldn't afford a honeymoon, so we were driving to work (yes, at 6:15 AM) and heard it on the radio. Neither of us could belive that anyone would actually do something deliberate like that. We heard reports of the towers falling and the plane going into the pentagon. But we also heard reports that a plane had crashed into Camp David, so we weren't sure what to believe. We both worked that day, but Mike stayed glued to the TV when we got home. I just couldn't watch.

Two days later I told him he had to stop too. We both felt so frustrated that there wasn't anything to do.

We did the same thing at our home.

After a couple of days - we simply did not turn on the TV news or watch any programming pertaining to the WTC thing. It was too .... depressing. I was seriously wondering what hostilities ourgovernment would undertake to punish those we felt were responsible.... or whowe would go to war with to corner those involved.

For all of you who sent prayers and well wishes, thank you. DD's surgery went well and she is now out of the hospital. Hopefully wiil be in chat. Jack

Now I hope for a speedy recovery for your DD.:flower3:

Becky, DH and I did the first EBPC repo in 05 without DS. It was a great vacation. I am glad he is getting to joing us this time around, school and football caused him to miss last time. We are also staying for the 5 nighter after!:)

Paula, you are making me jealous!!!:rolleyes1 By the way, I do like your new signature. :woohoo: Arlene showed me pictures of the meet and you looked nothing like your old sig picture.

My answers below (hidden in case others want to figure them out). I'd seen most of these before -- a few took some thinking.

Morning folks!

Dumb question... how long does it take for a postcard mailed from CC take to get to the US?

Its been nearly two weeks and no postcard...

Mine took 6 weeks. I forgot I sent one.

:cloud9: :thanks: :disrocks: :teeth:

I couldn't find a tooting my own horn smilie, but I wanted you all to know that I got a semi-firm offer from the firm I've been interviewing with. I have to pass one last interview, but we're already talking terms and how to handle the transitions to make it all work

THANK YOU all for the good thoughts & positive energy you sent my way - I'm sure it helped.

I am keeping fingers crossed for you. :flower3: My eyes are crossed too but that is from trying to play ketchup.

Ooops!

My wife just came home and brounght home a cake that said

I noticed he had the Roy because I'm really hoping a suite opens up -- although DH really didn't like the Roy when we were in it on the 10nt. He found it unbelievably loud at night. He is a light sleeper and the *creaking* of all that wood about drove him over the edge. ;)
I sleep like a log so, the noise didn't bother me at all! LOL!
Dh is really hoping for a Cat 3 since he has never been bothered by creaking in a Cat 3.

I hope you get Cat 1 so we can have a wine tasting party again in your suite!:woohoo:

DH got his CC card yesterday and he tried to get on the website. Didn't work. Will have to check it for myself but this is just another episode in the saga of the cards:confused3 I may have to get Cheryl to straighten it out for me;)

I got my third new CC card today with a 3rd Cd.:lmao: :lmao: At least all 4 cards now have all the same numbers.:rotfl: I have not tried to see if the number works yet.:headache:

Thanks to everyone for the well wishes for my mom. She is doing better. The wheezing is almost gone, although she is still having some difficulty breathing. She's not as pale anymore and she's got her appetite back. But she's still in the hospital and they haven't even discussed her going home. That's fine though, she's still really exhausted and just needs her rest.

I am glad she is doing better. :flower3: I really enjoyed seeing your pictures. I can't wait to meet you!!!:grouphug:

Awwwww.............thanks you guys. I had some free time and thought I would play.:goodvibes

Hey Paula!

I just noticed your new siggy pictures. Silly me - I get into a rut and I just skim the written portions of everyones' postings qand had not noticed the sigy differences. Well... I sort of noticed but didn't really LOOK at the siggy photos.

You pix are "sweet" - and those two fish look HUGE! What kind of fish were they? I'm not an angler - but my brothers' father-in-law is a big angler. He comes ou from Chicago to go on the day long (or 3/4 day) boats into Mexico for Ahi and whatever else thier skipper can find 'em. I, on the other hand have never caught a live fish on a line ever.

At any rate - the pix look very nice. You can feel the romance glowing in the left hand photo! And you can see the proud fisherman beaming at his "catches" on the right!

Hey Paula - nice sig!

Sara - It sounds like you need a

Two days in the hospital, pins and wires thru 3 separate bones, and one huge cast. Surgery went very well. All bones are now properly aligned. Next evaluation on Monday. Thanks for asking. Jack

Wow, that's a lot to go through (for all of you). I hope she is on the mend.

Hi Everyone,

I just got back from the PTO meeting. It is possible that I have gone insane. :crazy2:  Maybe I was just feeling encouraged by the folks who have posted here about dealing with PTO cliques.

I, along with another totally new mom, (her DD is in Kindergarden) have volunteered to be co-presidents :scared1: :scared: The two women who have been co-presidents started the meeting by announcing that they were stepping down (they have done it for 3 years). They were really trying to get someone to volunteer (or a pair for co-presidents again) and were getting nowhere. The new lady had asked a lot of questions about what the job entailed and seemed interested. She also seemed very organized taking notes during the meeting and even volunteered to handle a couple of things. I had a quick conference with DH (who attended with me - there were actually a couple other dads also!) then a quick talk with the other lady and suddenly we were volunteering. Maybe part of my brain was saying "hey, you want to be involved - here's your chance!"

DH will certainly help with this, but right now my stomach keeps flipping over and part of my brain keeps saying "what are you doing? You're crazy!"

Pamela (pdarrah)

:scared: :scared:
Wow! Good for you!

I'm glad someone (um...you!) is willing to do it.

Back before efiling (meaning before 2005) it was normal to file my corporate tax return right on the Sept 15 deadline. 2001 was no different.

At that time I was working at 60 Wall St on the 41st floor. 60 Wall is a few blocks from Ground Zero....

Thank you so much for sharing Sil.

I went throught the same thing down here when our Federal Building got bombed. Just couldn't tear myself away from it.

I am so sorry to hear that!!!
I was a Brownie leader for 2 of my girls....need I say more? Parents loived to say things like *I think you should have meetings more often.* *I think you should have more field trips.*......... But, none of them wanted to take the training (just an hour or two!) and actually HELP me!

I don't get it. DD goes to our local Brownie pack & they do excellent activities. This term they are working towards a science investigator badge. Each child's parent/guardian is asked to help at just 1 meeting/term (just 75 mins of time). It works well & bypasses the lengthy checks to do it on a "full time" basis & for such a small outlay, there is such a big return - why don'y my finances work like that?????

Two days in the hospital, pins and wires thru 3 separate bones, and one huge cast. Surgery went very well.

Glad to see that she's closer to mending....

My dd is out of her brace thing but still taking it easy and doing PT once a week. Repeat MRI can't be done for a couple months but were hoping she'll be able to start her gym class in 6 weeks when the class starts.

He bought me a beautiful 14 kt gold mickey ring to add to my collection. :dance3: This makes number 4 now!!!:cheer2:

Ok i'm jealous... i have none... Then again i'm bad with jewelry.
