Believe it or not, he is still dithering over the material and the plans/application for the building permit. I think he wants to go with the composite, but the cost has him hesitating... With the permit application and drawing, he is just trying to make everything "perfect" and second guess any information they might want. I'm still hoping he will turn in the application this week ... we'll see!

Nice. I think I really would have enjoyed this European Cruise. I hope they offer it again in future.

Today is a happy day. It's the day the suitcases come out of the basement and into the bedrooms as we start packing for our trip to WDW (Aug. 17-31)

Also on a happy note my Barbossa hat finally arrived from California. Took 8 weeks. Looks great. I have to rough up the edges a bit though. Maybe I'll just sit on it.

Poor BIP!! Those yellow jackets sure do hurt!!!Like **** I was running from bees for 55 years before I got caught. I was helping my DH paint outside and a YJ flew up my pants leg and stung me. I had a fever and a huge red mark the size of a plate. Last year, I was laying outside and just got stung for no reason. It hit me right in the finger. My first reaction was to take all my rings off. It was a good thing. All my finger were swollen seconds after I got stung. I told Doctor and she said I must be highly allergic. I now carry an Epi Pen. I think I will be chicken to use that.

Oh no!
Fortunately I don't think I got a fever.... and I didn't swell up THAT bad. Jeff said if I was allergic I'd be swelling up all over and then have other symptoms. It was just my arm that swelled up pretty good and now it's not swollen but just "aches". All from a stupid yellow jacket. I had no idea. I thought bee stings wouldn't be any different than fire ant bites or something like that. I'm glad I'm not allergic!

Andrew- nice to have you back. Thanks for the photos too- they are all lovely! I hope you can show us more when you get a chance.
That one of the vatican though-- anxiety just looking at the PHOTO of how many people are there- looks mighty crowded!

I bet the locals really got a kick out of the Disney Magic. Disney always brings profit where ever it goes.

This sounds like my DH - he is so much more comfortable with DCL handling everything - It is nice to go on a vacation where you don't have to deal with DETAILS!

That's what dh loves about Disney. And that is why a couple of the kids and I are doing an ABD next week. DH loves that I'm not driving all over the country and that Disney is handling all the details for me!

I'm hoping for an address to port so I can send our formal clothes and Pirate costumes ahead.

I'm not going to be sending anything that we want to bring back but, I am going to be sending ahead things like --- fish extender gifts, Pepsi/Mt Dew, sunscreen (5ppl x 15 plus park days -- is alot of sunscreen! LOL!), beach toys for 7dd, maybe alcohol...... etc.....

We pulled ours out this weekend....already started dropping stuff in!

Glad you are back safe.
We are in the middle of a monsoon like storm here. hould be gone around 5 according to the news.Since it is traveling towards us and looks like possibly WDW, and away from the cape the shuttle launch should not be affected. It was so hazy today that I doubted we were goning to be able to see it from here. I noticed on Bips post she quoted me about the bee sting but it came up as Chris? Looks like the boards are wacky from the heat as well

Hmm Something about August heat and trying to ship soda = recipe for disaster.... I know if it even stays too long in the trunk of the car i get a couple that leak and explode...

You may want to buy that when you get to CA.... You won't be alone. I'll be the one lugging the water and diet Mt Dews onboard too Might need two rolling cooler bags. We're thinking of using them as carry-on for regular stuff until we get to CA and then transferring most stuff over to the checked luggage so cooler bag/carts can be used for water/soda. My DH and DD will drink whatever on-board but darn me is picky and my tummy doesn't agree with fountain soda if the carbonation is even the slightest bit off.

I even bring my own to dinner most nights and transfer it over into a glass. Waiters have been very understanding.

We sent the same thing to Florida for the 10nt this past August.......We sent the pakages the last week of August..... No problems!

My Mt Dew will be diet, also! I don't drink tea nad I don't drink coffee but, I do drink a Mt Dew every morning! DH perfers Mt Dew and Pepsi but, he will drink any kind of soda...not me..... I would go without rather then drink coke! BLECH!

I hadn't thought of that. I usually just drank water with dinner. I have to wear that patch (for seasickness) and it dehydrates me BIG time!
