Bye Capt....
Luckily my dd's looks good and they have her in health first quarter; gym 2nd quarter. With her foot/ankle being messed up, i don't know how long she'll need this stupid brace thing.
It happens...My dd had to choose between Spanish 2 last year and all her other preferred electives. Her MS had 2 periods each day where everyone took electives so it really limited what you could get.
And how is PE an elective?...IMO that should always just be a required class.
PE/athletics is not REALLY an elective- because one or the other is REQUIRED. (cheerleading is a class and they practice at every class so they are considering it an alternative to the required pe or athletics) So basically they have to choose either PE, Athletics, or cheerleading- and get one more elective. But they "consider" PE/Athletics/Cheerleading an elective- but it's really not. you have to choose one of those and get one more elective as a choice. There is really only one period that you can choose an "elective" which can be anything from band or choir (you can also choose athletics as your elective even if you are in cheerleading-which is what they did as default which is why it was messed up and didn't have her in band) to things like study hall, office helper, library helper, etc.
But something in "gym" is required, not really an elective. You just get to choose either PE or athletics (or cheerleading if you made the squad you have to do cheerleading)
Can you still actually call that camping??
No, not really which is exactly how I wanted it. LOL The kids and DH may camp out right there next to the trailer in a tent- but I won't be. not in this heat... LOL
Jonesing has been helping me (a lot!) on the passport thing. But it's not looking good.
first off I have to pay to correct my BC and I have to prove it with signed/notarized papers (because original was burned in courthouse fire years ago) and my mom is quadraplegic so I'll have to talk my aunt into going with me to get a paper from her, stating the correct spelling, and get it notarized. Not going to be an easy feat.
then pay to get the copy of the corrected BC.
Also at my county clerks office they require the BIG birth certificates and plus not certified before 1996.
The kids BC's I got before the last cruise were given to me in the smaller form (about 4 x3 size) and they say they won't take those even though the only info that is NOT on those (that is on the big ones) is the parents age at time of the child's birth, parent's birthplace and employment, and the dr's name/info. Other county's will accept the small ones- but they aren't close (counties are big in Texas!)
So I may have to pay to get all 3 kids BC's done again in the bigger size.
Jeff's bc, from another state, was apparenlty done in 1990 when we got married the first time... so that's before 1996. So our in our county they won't accept that for the passports. I'll have to go to a county further away and/or send off for another more recent one for him. All of this costing ofcourse.
AND if we did go to our county/some others close by.. they close at 3:30pm and all are required to be present. Jeff is not off work until 5pm and the kids get out of school at 3:30pm. This is going to be a major pain in the butt.
Not to mention I also have to get a copy of our original marriage license to show my name change- since I don't have it anymore and our 2nd marriage license shows our last names the same on the marriage license.. *sigh*
What a PITA!
