Gosh, It's only 11 pm west coast time. I'm in Portland, OR. I logged on all excited and nobody was left in chat. Oh well.

The trip is good so far. We are visiting friends in OR tomorrow then heading to somewhere between here and Salt Lake City on Sunday.

I don't have much time for ketchup - I hope all is well with everyone.

Sorry I missed you. I had a pretty busy day so it was early evening my time before I checked in and no one was there - I need to check into chat around lunchtime/early afternoon to catch people. Maybe next time! It's only just 9.30pm here now.

I missed it too! I was working on a really complex spreadsheet and went to the chat at 1:30 isg (eastern time). And no one was there!

C'mon west coasters! Keep the chat alive for this late to bed east coaster!

AnimalKingdomandMGM034.jpg

Aww i need one of these for the TOAL.... How much are they and where did you find them at?

They were everywhere, about $12. Someone posted the number for Disney park shopping, call, describe and they can ship. It was definately at the Pirates of Caribbean shop in Magic Kingdom

Or you can go to e-bay and buy for 3 times that.....

Or buy the theater banner http://sfbay.craigslist.org/pen/clt/360430721.html

Of course, the most important thing that happened to us at Typhoon Lagoon today was that we were in the right place at the right time and

WE WON!!!!!

We were big winners in the Year of a Million Dreams -- unfortunately it wasnt' the Disney Cruise or 160 DVC points.... it was the exclusive lanyard and pin set....

And then a few days later exiting the autograph area at Toontown Fair

WE WON AGAIN

This time it again wasn't the Disney Cruise or 160 DVC points but the exclusive Mouse Ears

MagicKingdom118.jpg

Both times the Dream Team was waiting in the exit line, dressed in colors simliar to those in the ears above. They gave these out to everyone that came through until they ran out.

Hi M!
Your ears must have been burning cause you were the (or rather a) topic of conversation. Everyone was curious about the ferry ride - how did you walk your dog? Were there cabins? What did you do without Disney's kids clubs? etc. It got bad enough that we googled up (what we think is) the ferry site to get some of our own answers (maybe).

So. Inquiring minds want to know...
Where did you dog stay? How did you walk it? Where did it relieve himself? (not my question - really!) How did you keep the kids entertained? Did you have a cabin? and on, and on, and on.

If you're dropping through Sacramento let us know. (Right - not exactly on the way...)

:rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl:
Nothing wrong with the pup that 2 or 3 years, obedience school, and a treadmill won't fix.

Oh so true! :rotfl2: Well, he has had one obedience class (5 sessions) and when he is "practicing" he does quite well - he just isn't so good applying it to real life! (Sort of like DS8 and spelling tests). We sort of have the treadmill covered - when we have him out in the yard he has one of those stakes in the ground with his leash and he runs in circles - actually our grass looks like it has a crop circle in it! :rotfl: Gordon Setters are known to be insanely "puppy" for about 3 years, so we'll just have to wait it out.....

Good Morning! It's great weather here today. Up to mid 70's and low humidity. We are hanging around the houde today. They have this dumb "Cruising Downriver" event going on today and it cuts the area in half. Traffic is awful and most people don't have a clue what a "classic" car is! In MI it's any car 25 yrs and older. So today we will stay east of all that.

Chat was fun last night. Gotta figure out why my computer cuts up!:confused3

Everyone have a great day!

I and my workmates consider it to be a compliment to be called computer geeks. Nerds is an entirely different matter in my opinion - has a different meaning (at least in this part of the world).

Geek and Nerd are both OK...

But I prefer the term Dork!

As you can see by the picture we used for our Christmas cards last year.

Congrats! Sounds like your family is having a great trip. And thanks for leaving the big prizes for my trip in August!

Since I had to change my ID for chat my post count is too low to send a PM. I must have missed the original post about the August meet at Wilderness Lodge. DH and I will be down Disney that weekend and would love to meet some of our fellow cruisers. As soon as my post count is high enough I'll PM darthrugby.

Barbara

Barbara, Don't forget our mini meet on September 3rd Labor Day at Downtown Disney. You could give be the scoop on the villages in person.:thumbsup2

Sorry I missed your call last night. I actually went to bed early for a change due to a raging headache. (I blamed it on DS13's "World Voices" performance -- just to make fun of him).

Sent you another private e-mail. Let me know.:goodvibes

So, I have posted in the past about my issues at work and deep concerns as to whether I will have a job in a few months and how I am worried about being able to pay for the cruise next year and how upset I was over not being able to take a vacation this year, and so what did I just go and do?

Booked 10 days at Port Orleans Riverside from August 14-23.

I just told DD5, 'we're sorry, we need to cancel our trip to Wisconsin Dells in August.' As tears began to form, she moaned 'Why?'. And I said, because we're going to be at Disney World that week. She stopped for a moment and then went "Disney World!!" with a huge smile on her face.

I think you deserve it!!!:woohoo: Job stress is horrible, Just ask John!!! I love Port Orleans!!!

The only stupid part is that you're not staying for the DIS-meet on the 25th.

The other stupid part is he will not be there for the meet on Labor Day either.

:dance3:
Thread post number 1000!
:dance3:

Congrats on post 1000. I think I talk alot.

She started posting this am. In answer to your question let me quote M

And yes, when the ship is under way, we ‘walk’ the dog on the car deck. And then we clean up. The ferry charges $25 from a canine passenger that rides in the car the entire time. We gain some satisfaction by using $25 worth of paper towels and latex gloves supplied by the ferry

She also states it smells like the elephant house.at the zoo. Wonder why????

Beautiful day today. Hope everyone has a great day!!!

 Hi All,

This is a drive by posting...............:rotfl:

I just wanted to let you know I am alive and well, but since returning from Florida earlier this month I have put myself on an internet diet and have cut my online time by 75%. Work is as crazy as ever, and I've started training a few young fellows, over the past couple of weeks, on the "correct" way to read meters.

I've been lurking from time to time, just haven't taken the time to post much anywhere on the boards as of late.

Our main computer crashed last week  and I've been spending quite a bit of time re-loading programs into our new computer.

Hazel and Angelina are doing fine. Angelina had her Senior Portraits taken on 6/22, the photos were placed on the photographer's website, and we placed our $$$$ order last night...............:upsidedow

OK, time to run and pick up Angelina from work.

My Best to Everyone..............
