I don't know if I read this on the Main Boards, or where.....but there was a council meeting in San Pedro to discuss attracting other car rental companies to come into San Pedro. They brought up the point that Enterprise's office was closed on Sundays. Enterprise is supposedly opening another office...I think inside the Crowne Plaza/San Pedro....so maybe that location will take Sunday drop-offs.
At least it does seem that the town is looking into it and hopefully there will be some changes by the time we need them.

Stacey, I just got off the phone with the Crowne Plaza and yes they do have an Enterpirse office in the hotel. They think that is open on Sundays. (we will have to check on this as TOAL gets closer). Also called the Double Tree and they have a Dollar office in the hotel. Both of the above offer free shuttle service to the port.

Arrive on the third leave on the 10th. At WDW till Friday the 7th, then switching hotels visit friends and start looking at property to retire in 4 1/2 years. Arlene sp and her DH will be meeting us along with some other people that live down there. I know we are meeting on that Monday I think at Earl on Sandwich. Cheryl if you are on, i should say when you get on verify for me. I have to get back to work.

John

woohoo!! i guess i'l make the meet after all!

Okay here is the scopp so far!!! Diapp is planning on meeting us about 2:15 at DTD. We are alos hooking up with Liz (Littl Kid), VillageBarbara, ArleneSP, Steph 5, and anyone else that would like to have a mini in WDW on September 3 at Earl of Sandwich. Everyone is welcome to come!!!!:woohoo: :yay: :dance3: Just pm me or Arlene.:thumbsup2
i will be pm'ing you!!

Yes Monday the 3rd around 3PM :woohoo:
:woohoo: :woohoo:

we've decided we will TRY to keep it secret from the kids! so far, so good!! i'm sure it will slip though! i'm glad to know that we will be able to make the meet. i never thought there was any chance of us getting to disney before the TOAL. i'm so happy that we will get our mouse fix this summer!

I am making Brendan take me to see him next month!!

Chrissie

You lucky girl! I will definitely go to see him if he ever comes to town. Unfortunately, he's not coming here this tour.

Roger, that's great! One of the other Moms and I are seriously thinking of renting a car here, driving to CA the day before the cruise, picking up the other Moms at the airport, and then returning the car. We're staying at the Doubletree, so going with Dollar would be great for us! Thank you!!

We have an ulterior motive for driving over. If we don't have to fly, we can package up our wine and Pepsi here, and it will be ready to take on the ship....and we won't have to find a store near the port. :thumbsup2

I pulled a ligament years ago when my foot fell asleep. I stood up and heard a crack!!!! I ended up with a cast for over 3 months.:sad2: A soft cast for a year. The doctor told me break a bone next time .:rolleyes1 Bones heal faster.

My DD broke an arm while bowling.:scared: I guess we all need to be more careful in our family.:rotfl2:

Well I've got a couple of good ones for ya....First,I fractured my big toe kicking a boy in the butt when I was in the 9th grade. He sat there and laughed at me.
And then Kevin, broke his wrist while painting the ceiling with a paint brush when he was 14. Repedative movement.

SO what kind of excursions should all of us "graceful" people do?? ;)

Suddenly I'm really really hungry!

......

So sorry to hear that Crash. Sounds very painful!

We... about the chicken florintine - I over-cooked the chedder one and the other two were ALMOST overcooked. SO I learned something - DON'T OVERCOOK the chicken florntine!!!!

And on the bicycle crash - NO, it's not why my old friends call me (sometimes) Captain Crash. And... the thing that made it tolerable was that I was at least in a charitable fund raiser ride when it happened. I still collected $2,500+ for the charity - and my insurance settlement left me with some money after expenses... nothing really for P&S - but I ended up losing my job (they technically reassigned me to something I would resign from when I returned) ... and since I was between jobs I went to Europe for 3.5 weeks.

And now - speaking of CRASHES.... my main notebook computer dies again last nite - I have an OS file that became corrupted and I'm forced to use my spouses' computer at nite - but now I'm off to visit my computer exert friend. Maybe he'll resusitate my notebook - and as of now I am in the market for a replacement notebook... maybe. So many things to do - I gotta drive into town now - 45-60 minutes to my friends house and another 45-60 minutes back. Plus repair and socializing time.

Adios friends til next I have reliable access to the web...

Cheers,

My spouse and I are HUGE dessert enthusiasts! She will litterially scrape all the frosting/whipped cream off a dish and hand me the cleaned pastry - and I do the same in turn to her. We're a real pair! Often we just swap desserts this way (different) and get tastes of each - and quip the same affectionate barbs as we have the past 20+ years as we swap half eaten desserts!

I have a better one, hope you can handle this. Just this last winter, I was checking in supplies at work(school cafeteria), I had a case of oranges in my hands. I turned to set it down on the stainless steel counter, tripped over a box on the floor and managed to get my rather "ample"left b**b caught between the case of oranges and the steel table. :scared1: I bruise very easily and did I mention that I take blood thinners. It was the loveliest shade of Maroon for about 3 weeks, then went to purple.

I think I will spend some quality time at the pool, in a lounge chair :rotfl2:

I have had a few volunteers so far, but would always welcome some help. Roger (Goofyonthehiseas) has started a blog on LA things.

Pamela (Pdarrah) is getting info together on Acapulco (or was it Aruba - one of those "A" stops).

I'm just gonna link things that IMHO people want to see (e.g. M's wandering blog or planning links) in the summaries and less of the chit chat.

If you have stuff you would like to add, it can be done 2 ways, if you are familiar with websites I can have you added as an "author" on sections or you can send it to me and one of our more "techy" volunteers can convert it.

Thanks to everyone who has offered help and support on this. I can't reply to each one individually now, but I do appreciate your offers. As I said 100 or so posts ago, this site is not mine or someone elses, its all of ours, the content is content you provided, so be proud and enjoy.

Tom - Thanks for all the work you have done.

Perhaps maybe a matress company or a factory that makes feather pillows.:lmao:

I thought my DH would split a gut on this post.:lmao: I let him lurk a little on my computer tonight.

Me too
I always forget and my nose and shoulders always burn:confused3

The good thing I found after having radiation treatments is I do not burn anymore.:yay: I uses to burn ,blister and peel all summer long.:sad2: Now I can be out in the sun for 8 hours and just get a nice tan. I can give any other explanation that the radiation I received.:confused3

How are you doing??? Getting a little stronger everyday??:flower3:

I think the zip lines through the forest in PV is where I may be headed ....I think its perfect for you "Graceful" people :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

pirate:

Oh Todd, I think you may need to sign me up. :rotfl: DH might even pay you to do that.:rotfl2:

Well, one good thing about working in this heat, I think I lost a few pounds today.................:lmao:

Now, I'm going to go take a nap........:)

Poor Andy!!!:sad2: I like laying out in the heat but not working in the heat.:lmao:

I fit right in this group!!!!:rolleyes1

I know! He keeps telling how many WDW & DCL trips we could do with that money! :rotfl: :rotfl: I have reminded him that this is our oldest dd.......and that we love her......and we'll make sure our other children pick spouses that like Disney. ;)
Her fiance won't even consider going on DCL with her next year! :confused3 She had wanted the two of them to try to get on the E Repo and he won't even consider a Dsiney anything! I have totally rethought how I feel about him! LOL!

On our first cruise, we took the whole family. How pathetic was it to see the bored faces of my kids. They thought the nightime entertainment was lame. Oh well you can't convert everyone. The grandkids and DH and I had a great time all around.

What about Michael Buble? I LOVE him!

Not the same type but I love josh Groban.

I'm starting to get interested in renting a car. I'm thiking of all the water I have to haul for us. This might be a plan:thumbsup2

Cheryl, I was sure you would mention the cruiser with the beat up face:lmao:

Cake? My picture didn't come thru!!!!!I could use some cake about now.

I did not want to scare anyone off taking a zipline.:rolleyes1 But now that you mention.......I was returning from one of the islands on the 10 Wonder Cruise waiting to go through DCL line to check back on the boat. The man behind me had a brusied face and was all bandaged up.:rolleyes1 I said what happened to you.:confused3 He said he was ziplining and instead of hitting the platform with his feet......he used his face to hit the support beam of the platform.:scared1: :scared: :scared1: End of story.
