Well, returned to work yesterday (always better to start on a Sunday) to find out that my boss (of sorts) turned in his resignition. It was time, we get a new boss (Director of Pharmacy) every 2 years. For a while we referred to him as new guy 27 since he is about our 27th boss in 10 years or so. Anyway I am worried that every time some leave that I am volunteered to be in charge in the interm. None of us want the position since it is a 2 year job.

Someone asked last Friday night in chat about which car rental companies were at the port to drop rental cars off. I have found that only Enterpise is at the Port. They offer drop off and shuttle service to the port.

I know nothing about websites or how to do blogs, but I am a fast learner so if you need another "author" & can send a brief tutorial, I'd be happy to try.

Also it looks like we may have lost some people that were on the task force and I don't want to step on anyone's toes, but I would be glad to pick up one of the tasks if they truly become vacant. Right now the only thing I see available is the Panama Canal info & I'd be glad to research it, but I know absolutely nothing about it. Maybe with the help of Andrew's pics (if he allowed me to copy them) I could add some info about what we might expect?

Or there is the bus to MCO from Port Cananveral task which is also vacant, but we won't be heading to the airport right away so I won't be there as a spokesperson & I also know nothing about chartering a bus, but I could do my best if you want to put your trust in me.

While we're on the subject, are we suppose to be resending all our info including family pics to the webmaster? Our original info & pics were deleted correct? Sorry I know we received posts about this, but I was unclear about what is actually needed.

There are a couple of car rental locations near the port that are actually in hotels. Since they are an office of, say Hertz, you can still drop the car there and then take the hotel's shuttle or taxi to the terminal.

Hope everyone is keeping cool today. We just got back from the pool, and are off to Kylie's softball game. We get to sit & sweat for the next couple of hours. Oh well, better now than earlier today.

Arrive on the third leave on the 10th. At WDW till Friday the 7th, then switching hotels visit friends and start looking at property to retire in 4 1/2 years. Arlene sp and her DH will be meeting us along with some other people that live down there. I know we are meeting on that Monday I think at Earl on Sandwich. Cheryl if you are on, i should say when you get on verify for me. I have to get back to work.

I don't know if I read this on the Main Boards, or where.....but there was a council meeting in San Pedro to discuss attracting other car rental companies to come into San Pedro. They brought up the point that Enterprise's office was closed on Sundays. Enterprise is supposedly opening another office...I think inside the Crowne Plaza/San Pedro....so maybe that location will take Sunday drop-offs.
At least it does seem that the town is looking into it and hopefully there will be some changes by the time we need them.
