Love your calculations, Crash! I just argue with the assumption that the number of posts NECESSARILY is directly proportional to the level of enthusiasm . . . while no one would dare to argue the proven enthusiasm of the top posters, many of us in the lower tiers have tons of enthusiasm (but perhaps less time to post) . . .

Of course, the spike created by the release of AWE was quite significant, so we may need to go back to the calculation tables to figure our what kind of spikes things such as end of August and other mini-meets; assignment of rooms numbers; release of shore excursion lists; airfare coming on line; 105, 90 and 75 day booking windows; release of AWE on DVD; etc. will create....

OK this is what I thought I remember that someone found out........that although you individually might be paid up, they are not planning on assigning rooms on the repo until the final payment date. The reasoning behind this was that many will cancel and then they will not be overbooked and can "hopefully" for them find all who want a room an asignment. Some of us do have room numbers and I guess those will stick ( although I think nothing is absolute at this point) but we did hear from DCL that room numbers would be received at 90 days out or whatever the pay date is.

Ok did I dream that? Someone help me out here.

I'm not sure how much "hard fact" there is to that, but between a bunch of the posts a while back, that is a good summary. Really, we don't know where things stand. Probably won't for a good while.

Seriously... thier chickens arrear to have been enhanced with hormones and other synthetic means. It has been suggested that our early developing kids can attribute this in part to more hormones in OUR food stuffs... like the unusually large chickens we sometimes see. Then again, these chickens get my gastronomic attention,... just as the "perfect looking" and "artificially enhanced" female can sometimes "distract" me - briefly... And when my spouse is around she quips her criticisms .... (EG) .... she might remind me of how I can tell when they're fake... and she cites the percentage increase of health risk resulting from such vanity.

It's funny when you come from a large family. My DH John is the 9th of 10 children and he is the seventh (and baby) brother YIKES! Be afraid, be very, very afraid Anyway, this our great nephew is John's Brother's Daughter's Son, and he is older than our own son! Like I said, hard to keep up in a large family too!

That's a lot like my family, I have two Aunts that are a year older than me.... Most of my first cousins are my kids age...

And there are standing death threats if I have my kids call them Great Aunt!

Obviously you DO lurk here because you seem to have noticed our signatures and photos.....How else do you expect this many people to get to know one another. We care about each other's lives. We want to see what a special day someone here had. I realize you may find it annoying because you do not know most of the people here, but we do care. If you do not want to take the time to get to know your fellow travelers then why would you want to folow our lines of communication? At times there are several conversations going on at the same time. Most of the itme we have talked about a special trip and then posted our photos or are sharing our children.

Maybe if you came on less accusationally and just asked what information you were trying to obtain, you would realize that there are no less than 50 regulars around here who would gladly answer your concern. I don't have a great deal of time either. I read only the last few pages when I come back on. I know if I missed anything majorly important someone will have requoted it or one of my fellow PEEPS will let me know. I am sure I miss things that people say or do but you do what you can. I don't think it is worth being upset at those who do care to chat alot. (Tom can't help it if he is a lawyer and has no work to do........ ...Tom I am truly kidding)

Anyway just wondering what you were hoping to accomplish by insulting posters here. If you want to be a part of the group then that is GREAT but just jump in and accept those that have a different approach to this thread. I am not trying to be rude I just think that we are a family of sorts and I just think its a little rude to walk into a strangers home and insult their lifestyle. You might want to get to know them before you criticize so readily.

And BTW many many people have GTY because DCL overbooked the cruise. They will not be assigning rooms until full payment. So you will have to pay before you know what room you will be in more than likely.

Good Lord, I wasn't trying to insult anyone. If you, or anyone felt insulted by my comment, I'm certainly sorry.

I was just trying to convey a frustration of not being able to follow any threads because I don't get a chance to come on often and there are sooooo many posts that it's very hard to keep up. Apparently my choice of words was poor. Again, if you were insulted, I'm sorry.



Actually, that's not the case for me since, technically, I paid. I'm using my DVC points for the cruise and they have most assuredly been taking out of my account already, so the cruise is "paid" for. It's probably more like overbooking that is the case. When I asked Member Services about it before they said, "The cruise line has not released any rooms for us to book yet." I've asked them to link my room with the 5-day post cruise as well, so maybe they will let me have the same room. We'll see.

Sometimes my words are not so eloquent either. I usually put foot in mouth first.

All I can say is
