Needless to say, it's been a very long day, here is what Angelina's English teacher wrote in the program booklet.

"I have known Angelina through her experience with the morning announcements and in my English III class. She continually impresses me with her maturity and the value she places on education. Angelina is not afraid to stand up for what she believes in, and I'm sure she will be successful in all her pursuits."

Tell Angelina Congrats!!!:woohoo: What a wonderful honor for a great girl.:thumbsup2 I bet you even shed a little tear Andy.:confused3

Kids have CRASHED....

And now... lets' see... the thread stands at 604,990 visits (or hits)... and we started on January 13th at 2:39PM... so the thread has been running for approximately 18+ 28+ 31+ 30+ 31+ 1= 138 days and 9 hours (assuming an 11:39PM posting here). That's 3,321 hours or 199,260 minutes.

So, with 62,049 postings that works out to an average of 18.68 postings per hour... or one posting every 3 minutes, 12.68 seconds. AND... with 604,990 hits... the thread has averaged 182.21 hits an hour. OR put another way - that's 3.04 visits every minute.

So lets see.... from now to the end of this year is 213 days and 21 minutes. And from embarkation to the beginning of 2008 is 213 days and 17 hours. Curious that it is almost identical eh? At any rate - combined time from tonight to a 5PM embarkation is 426 days, 17 hours and 21 minutes. That works out to 10,241.35 hours to go … and if we continued at our current pace of 18.68 postings an hour we would have 191,308.42 additional postings for a total of 253,357.42 entries. As for the number of visits … if we continued with 182.21 hits an hour we would add 1,866,076.38 additional postings for a grand total of 2,471,066.38 hits.

Tom you just gave me a brain freeze without drinking anything cold.

John, do you think you can give me some advice, I need to make patches for rugby jerseys from one of the cruise banners on page 1, I need it saved in jpeg. I'm computer retarded. ?:)

Peter, since DH and I are a little too old for a rugby game can we be the mascots:mickeyjum , cheerleaders :cheer2: or carrier of the drinks:drinking1 .:confused3 :rolleyes1

Hello I am back, had a great time in Majorca, Spain.

On the flight over there we started our decent over Barcelona and it was clear skys, and I could see the port, two cruise ships were in and I am sure one was the Disney Magic.

On arrival in Majorca it was a little overcast, and cooler, but after getting my hire car, we drove up to the private villa, in Pollensa.

I booked a peaceful location and we got that, the villa was up a single track road for about five miles and in fact the very last building before the cliff edge. The road by this time was nothing more than a dirt track.

The weather then became windy and cold for two days but then was back upto 27c to 37c on the beach for the rest of the week.

We toured North West Majorca by car and also went on there local modern trains and then a 1912 train service through the mountains long tunnels etc to Stoller. Great fun and as the weather wasn’t good, a good use of time.

Pollensa also has famous steps some 365 up to a chapel, nice walk!

Later in the week we had quite a lot of beach days as it became very hot, and then went back to the villa to have a swim in our pool.

Food we had breakfast in the villa but for lunch and dinner we went to restaurants.

I presume the cost will be similar to Barcelona a meal would be from euros 9 to a set meal of euros 14 a full meal with soft drinks for a family of four was about 60-70 euros.

Welcom back Andrew! Looking forward to seeing the vacation pics!
Congrats on the tags.

Or sure, he does MATH and you like him. I even mention the word MATH and you yell at me. I think I shall say, in my best Smothers Brothers' imitation. "You always liked him best". :rotfl:

I hear ya brother...I hear ya!

Well...

I'm not done yet...

The total hours from the start of the thread til a 5PM embarkation are 13,562.35. We've had 3,321 elapse since last nite at 11:39PM which means 0.2448690676763245307782205886148 of the time has passed already. And conversely 0.7551309323236754692217794113852 remain ahead of us. That's a multiple of approximately 3.0838151159289370671484492622704 times for the time ahead of us as behind. SO we can multiply the number of postings each INDIVIDUAL has currently to ESTIMATE the number of postings each person MIGHT have when we embark.

Of course, this does not take into consideration The varariable intensity of POSTING each person has had (or will generate) - nor the time they've had since joining the thread and so on. It is merely an estimate based on the AVERAGE activity that has been input over the first QUARTER of the threads' life.

Below I've factored this multiplier (4.0838151159289370671484492622704x) on the individual tallies of the first few DIS folks (30) ....

Lil' Grumpy, our resident counselor!!![/center]

Tom look carefully behind you. Do you see any men in white coats coming at you. :rolleyes1

My tags gone all multi coloured

I love the preety colors of the rainbows. Alas, I think I am destined to have black letters the rest of my Diser Days!!

The pictures of your trip were great!! :cool1: I am soooooooo glad you rested and enjoyed.:flower3: We missed you.:grouphug: :grouphug:

I decided to play the rest of Ketchup tomorrow. :goodvibes There has been a lot of talking on these boards the last two days.

:sad1: I'm sorry that I missed chat last night it sounds interesting ...... as usual.

We spent over 3 hours at the Pet ER with JoJo the DISDog. After all that time with over $500 in xrays and tests we are fairly certain that he is getting old. It appears to have been just a bad day for him.

He gets bed rest, no stair climbing and rice with chicken to eat (which he loves!)

I left him at home with my DW to look after him.

Brack you take care of DISDog!! Sorry to here he is having problems. I know how much he means to you and your DW.

Thanks all I had fun again tonight.:goodvibes We need to do that more often.:)

Yeah that WAS nice ... I got ta visit an' now I'll have ta remember to try and hook up join the fridays more often too...

And ya kno... tonites' chat probably kept 150-200 new postings OFF the main thread! That's gonna mess up all the math I ran last nite! How on EARTH are we gonna get to a quarter million hits an' I don't recall how many postings were estimated... without that extra fluff around here? <chuckles>

And I missed a fabulous opportunity to chat more! Darn - Why am I always purpetually late?

Someday, when I grow up - I'm going to be ontime! :rotfl2:
