Hazel got a call from the school nurse at 12:30 this afternoon, our poor baby is so sick. Hazel was able to get Angelina in to see the doc at 3:30 and came home with three new prescriptions. Angelina's allergies are really BAD this year and I'm not surprised as I usually don't suffer with pollen, but I'm even having trouble as of late. Angelina is in bed and Hazel just left to pick up the new meds. I sure hope they kick in fast, the Gwen Stefani concert is only 4 days away. Please send some extra :wizard: this way, thanks!!!

Hope that Angelina feels better soon! The alergies are so much worse this year. :( DS has been suffering for the past 3 weeks and it has been 2 weeks for me. :(

Sure -- blame ME for everything, Andrew! If you don't have the faithfulness to stick with this thread even when being lured away, that's your problem!

And, yes, I switched my Aug. 8 10 night Med (cat 9) for BOTH the July 28 11 night Med AND the 14 night transatlantic (both Cat. 12, although my room assignment for the Aug. 18 cruise already shows a Cat. 10 room) -- and saved money! Those prices were just too good to be passed over . . .

Hazel just got home with the new meds, got to pump these into the  kid, on top of what she already has to take, I feel so bad for her. :guilty:

Judy, just make sure that he is in wardrobe before you give him a drink. ;) You know his care and attention to details...well, when he is smashed he can't seem to do that as well. ;) You should know that this was the day that he led the Jeep Tour of Cozumel for the DISers. He arranged for over 30 jeeps to be ready for the group & took them on a tour around the island. Of what you may ask? Well, it wasn't the historical landmarks...it was to the best bars. Several drinks were purchased for him and being the gracious host that he is...he felt obligated to drink them all. He claimed to not know how he ended up back on the ship. :lmao:
Okay I better not say anything here is regards to the actual getting the wardrobe on. ........I will graciously leave that to Melissa. :rotfl2:

and here all along we thought you saw the ruins, and interesting landmarks not just the inside of bars. What in the heck did you need a jeep for then?

Okay...so we have Dorothy, Toto, the lion, the Wicked Witch W...or was that east?
Glinda the Good Witch?
Tin Man?
Scarecrow?

Oooo....Wizard...we need a Wizard!

I wanta be the LION -----I have always loved the sweet lion. I like his tail that he can't quite make go the correct way...........kinda like the Captain's other appendage.......:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Hi everyone!!!

I have been away for a couple of days.Flying up to NY for my nephews' college graduation. What a whirlwind weekend. My plane was three hours late getting into Syracuse. In Philly we were 30 in line for take-off!!! One runway was closed! So that made all my plans for Friday a wash! Graduation, two parties and getting to visit everyone that I haven't seen in awhile.

I flew home yesterday and I was so sick. I woke up and the nausea just stayed with me and it was no fun flying.

I have to ask you fellow disers - how do you get around Philly airport? It is so huge and confusing and being sick was no help! But all in all I got home safe.

The graduation was wonderful( some of you know my sister Elaine who was on the 08/06 cruise with us. Her son graduated with honors and his picture appeared in the paper the next morning. We are all so proud of him. He is the first granchild, nephew to graduate college in our family.

How is everyone doing? I am going to try to read all the posts I missed while I was gone. But it is glad to be back on the boards. I was going thru withdrawel!!!!!

DISBOARDS TAKE ME AWAY!!!!!

I saw this on the main DIS Cruise board...

COS1_OL_hi_200.jpg

This was posted on the Dealtaker boards, and I thought it would interest some of you with little pirates! They have a 2-pack of pirate costumes (one blue, one black) on sale for only $4.50. These are for little kids -- the size is 4T-6T. Even better, use coupon code RLFL2007 for 5% off. The coupon expires 5/24.

Hope this helps someone! :)

Same here. Pharmacist told DW that DS' snuffly nose and hacking cough is from allergies. Evidently the rain and excess snow this winter is fuel for the trillions of pollen and mold spores about to erupt all over town! His emperical data: listen to everyone in Target coughing and hacking! So we need to get him to the doctor to determine the proper dosage of Baby Claritin....sad that there has to be such a thing!

At least we don't have to deal with cicada Brood XIII as well!!!!

We're doing great Karen! We have a family member who has just experienced what amounts to total remission on a form of cancer off of one sequence of "targeted" chemo-theraphy. Side effects were minimal and we're just waiting for the next year of scans to confirm that we've licked it. Plus my BIL in Boston (whos' coming on the cruise with us) is going to have a 2nd child come November 2007! So - we're so happy with the news from this past weekend. Plus my spouse is returning home today from a couple days of travel (rare for her to be away 2 days inside of Califnorina). AND... I have successfully shifted the kids into an earlier schedule to sleep and wake up - with improved results on managing the late evening and early morning routine. SO there's less complication and complaining from the critters!

SO hey... it's all looking rosy today from my POV! Now I still got about 10 pages or so to catch up on before I'm temporarily current!

I hope she is feeling better soon! Our allergies have been really bad this year, also.

Our 23dd took our 16dd to the Gwen Stefani concert that was here a couple of weeks ago. She had bought the tickets for her 16th b-day gift back in March. ;) They took their 27db as their protector. ;)

I hope she has fun!

I've been posting my trip report live on the TourGuideMiKE boards. I finally have a second to copy them here. Enjoy!

Ahoy Me Hearties – on May 22, 2007, prepare yourselves for a three-day trip-report adventure unlike any that has been seen this side of the 7 Seas Lagoon.

Set yer' compass towards uncharted territories and brace the helm as ye' listen to tails of me journey into the unknown depths of the sea. I be on the look out for the Pirates of the Caribbean and the surprises and thrills that are lurking behind the dark and dreary coves of the Lagoon.

As you can tell, this is no ordinary trip. I know, I know..... when is it ever when it comes to me??? But this is a special trip as way back in January, I was one of the few who was able to book the Pirates of the Caribbean Adventures on 7 Seas Lagoon event. Didn't even know it was going on, did ya??? Well, here's a link to the package I purchased so that you can catch yourself up. Ye Swabs Itinerary

DAY 1 - Part 1

Plan for the day: Fly to Orlando, check in at the Contemporary, check in for the special event Pirates of the Caribbean Adventures on 7 Seas Lagoon, settle into room, dinner at River Country.

The day started out great... woke up at 03:51 quickly got ready and was out the door by 04:30 just as I had planned. Got to the airport and through security by 05:02. Grabbed a Tall Java Chip Frappachino and a plain croissant and headed for my gate. No big surprise, it's gate # 10. When you have a small airport with only 12 gates to begin with, you know it's going to be gate #10 for jetBlue.

Flights are rather uneventful, though I suddenly remembered what I was forgetting. MY ANNUAL PASS AND DISNEY DINING EXPERIENCE CARD!!!! Ack! Besides that sickening realization, I'm a little sleepy, but quickly become engrossed in my current book, Seventh Son by Orson Scott Card, only to be pulled away from that by a Stargate SG-1 rerun. Flight lands in Orlando one minute early at 10:48. Another less than amazing surprise is that Bob from Sunray is waiting for me at the bottom of the escaltor. Honestly, if you've booked with Sunray but never used them before, please don't worry. Don't fret one bit. They are simply amazing. Highy professional and wicked friendly.

Anyway, it's not too long before my suitcase pops out of the hole in the wall.... though there were funny goings on at the airport to keep me entertained in the meantime. We're off in the crazy clean SUV and I'm at the Contemporary, checked-in (room's not ready) and off on the mononrail to the Magic Kingdom. I call home at 11:48 to let them know I arrived safely and my mother is surprised that I'm already there AND on my way to Magic Kingdom. Neener neener neener.

A quick search through my disgustingly heavy backpack/carry on and it's off to Guest Relations. After about 7 minutes, I have a brandy spankin' new Premium Annual Pass ready to be used. I decide since I AM at Magic Kingdom and I AM here on a Pirate Adventure, the only plausible thing to do would be to go ride the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction. It's about a 20 minute wait - too long for me - but I suck it up and get in line anyway. What better way to kill some time.

Oh.... I forgot to mention.... it's H-O-T. At least for me it is. When I left the house this morning it was like 42 degrees out. It's nearly 80 by this time and my backpack is just weighing me down, big time.

After the ride, I do a tiny bit of shopping and head back to the Contemporary for the event registration. I quickly find my way around to the East Registration Desk (not easy to find, by the way) and grab all my stuff. Just what I need a huge folder and another bag. Then it's off to pick up my RSP Merchandise.

See, this is basically a collector's event and even though I'm not a 'real' collector, I have a thing for pirates, so I just HAD to do this. I basically instruct the CM's on what I'm there to pick up and walk off with ANOTHER bag of stuffs. A quick call and YAY!! my room is ready. I make my way to the elevator and hit floor 12. Yes folks, that's right, my stay for the event is on the 12th floor concierge of the Contemporary. No, I haven't checked out the amenities, except of course for the free internet I'm using right now, on their computer system in my room. Sweet.

So, that's about it for now folks. Time to hit the showers, check out the lounge, and perhaps catch a quick nap before dinner. OH.... and dinner tonight will be at Disney's River Country with Lee Arenberg who plays Pintel in the POTC movies. And of course, if it gets over soon enough, I'll be heading for the AC. If you thought I wouldn't, how silly of you!
