Chris I came up with nothing too when I typed fish extender. I did a DIS search and people recommended searching wall pockets, hanging organizer, and every variation of those. My came up under mickey wall hanging, and I think I also checked "search in descriptions" Good Luck! It wasn't easy LOL!

amycnew is the seller I got it from and she has others up too.

I wonder if anyone has copyrighted the words 'fish extender' to apply to this particular item? I think it is just hilarious that we all say 'fish extender' and everyone here seems to know what that means. It's even the first hits on Google, although I am not sure I like the other hits I see.

We used zip ties to secure ours onto the fishie thing. If they'd wanted to steal ours, they'd have to bring a knife or scissors. One of the other Blabbermouths provided the zip ties.

That's what one of our fellow DISers did for us in December with the stockings we made.

Except we forgot we didn't have any scissors with US and had trouble getting the thing off the last night of the cruise.

I've been reading the "Davidson Blog" from the Med cruise. I know we've discussed whether or not they really are or are not having fun....and that perhaps it's just their writing style...but frankly, they do not look as though they are enjoying themselves. Such a long way to go and a lot of money to spend to NOT have a good time!
:sad2:

I think it would be nearly impossible to not have fun but you would have to be the type who is willing to roll (pardon the pun) with the punches. I know on our 1st 7-day, my kids were disappointed early on b/c the pools were closed a lot (this was the cruise right after the one that was cancelled due to Norwalk and DCL was being extra careful with the pools), but once they found other things to do, they were ok.

You'd definitely have to go into the transatlantic with a different idea of what the cruise will be like.

And those are so looonnnggg.... At least on one our flights home from HK our plane had lots of empty seats and we were able to strech out! :rotfl:

DH has had the misfortune of being on a flight to HK that lasted over 24hrs...(usually 20 - 21, 16 to Japan & then 4 1/2 to HK)

I've luckily always had the good fortune of being in business class for the transpacific flights although I had to do the transatlantic in steerage this past spring. But I also had the misfortune of having a kidney stone problem develop shortly after takeoff from Tokyo a few summers ago. The longest 16 hours of my life.

It's 1:35 am here in the UK and I'm still awake writing staff reports (that time of year again).

Anyway, knowing how much we all love cake on this thread I thought I'd let you know about a new car advert / commercial that's just came on TV a few nights ago. It's for a Skoda Fabia and the car they use in the advert is a life-size model made entirely out of cake - the actual advert shows them baking it and putting it together.

In this photo, it's the orange one on the left (it's VERY life-like).

There's even an engine all made out of cake.

What do you think of that then ?????

David

I'm just thinking it would be a rather messy (but tasty) accident to get into.

Of course then I'm driving with a stupid grin on my face... hope no one was watching....

How would people know the difference?? :lmao:

(Sorry, Tom, I believe it was expected by all that someone say this, and well, it had to be me...)

THANKS!! It worked!

Congratulations. I'm feeling pain just thinking about a triathalon and I am so impressed you were able to finish and still be smiling. Way to go!

(The longest I ever ran was 10Ks and that was back in college. I'm tried to start running again several times lately, but my shins won't take the pounding of road racing any more).

Just read this online. Pretty sad for those of us who appreciate history.

"Fire today ravaged the Cutty Sark, turning the 19th century tea clipper and one of Britain's most important maritime treasures, into a blackened wreck."

A lot of the original planking and artifacts had already been removed as part of a restoration, so hopefully they can still restore most of it. They are saying the iron structure appears to be mostly intact.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Congrats M, you look fabulous!!! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Congrats M, knew you could do it. :cheer2: :cheer2:

THANKS!!

I survived! Don't even ask about my time - it is the competitive equivalent of 3 days! I didn't care about time, I just wanted to finish!

It was a beautiful Alaskan spring day. High was about 60, not a cloud in the sky. The bike was really fun because it was such a wonderful day. Part of the bike parallels an Army post & there is a short but very steep hill leading to a huge flag pole on post. At one point, if I didn't make it up the hill to the flag pole - the terrorists would win! :rotfl:

My hips are killing me this morning, but I knew that was coming - the rest of me is just pleasantly sore. I'd do it again. Hmmmm, the Danskin Women's Tri at WDW is shorter than the one I finished yesterday....

J.R. - I've never run 10K in my life!!! I hate running! Running is evil. The run part of this race was 4.1 miles - 2-ish miles shorter than 10K.

A) That had to cost a fortune Yes

B) Wouldn't it get a little boring NO! :woohoo:

C) Again, all those sea days.... Send me! :yay:

Really wonderful for them, if that's what they really enjoy, but not for me, thanks. Now maybe if it were in Hawaii or the Caribbean......;)

I have dreamed of staying on the Magic for that long and one day (when I retire) I will! :thumbsup2

3 More Days

What Arrrrr you doing this weekend??? Hopefully your banning together with Pirates across the land to go see me Movie ...I am recruiting each one of you to hoist sail and make way to the theater this weekend so we can crush the Spiderman record .......Also if you so choose dress the part ...

BTW the second fish extender (green) was the one that I won only it was pink! I think I'm going to have to keep my eyes open for a few more, it's my understanding that some people's were stolen (darn STs)

We've had one on ours for the last four cruises with no problems. I would hate to have it start!

We're going! I'm trying to talk DH into taking the morning off since the kids summer vacation starts Thursday, we can go to a matinee.

As for dressing up...well...not going full pirate, but I realized last week that I am the only one who doesn't have a POC t-****, so I remedied the situation!

So Todd - are you excited??

And the funny thing is that I've always thought that I could retire onto one of the ships...like the ResidenSeas or whatever it is. But the more I think about it, I'm not so sure.
Like I said, maybe if it were near Hawaii or the Caribbean, where the weather was nice and I could make good use of the pool.......
