It's 1:35 am here in the UK and I'm still awake writing staff reports (that time of year again).

Anyway, knowing how much we all love cake on this thread I thought I'd let you know about a new car advert / commercial that's just came on TV a few nights ago. It's for a Skoda Fabia and the car they use in the advert is a life-size model made entirely out of cake - the actual advert shows them baking it and putting it together.

In this photo, it's the orange one on the left (it's VERY life-like).

There's even an engine all made out of cake.

What do you think of that then ?????

David

That is neat David. I sometimes watch Ace of Cakes on the Food Network. It is amazing what some people are capable of.:)

Chris I came up with nothing too when I typed fish extender. I did a DIS search and people recommended searching wall pockets, hanging organizer, and every variation of those. My came up under mickey wall hanging, and I think I also checked "search in descriptions" Good Luck! It wasn't easy LOL!

amycnew is the seller I got it from and she has others up too.

Thanks MR

I've been reading the "Davidson Blog" from the Med cruise. I know we've discussed whether or not they really are or are not having fun....and that perhaps it's just their writing style...but frankly, they do not look as though they are enjoying themselves. Such a long way to go and a lot of money to spend to NOT have a good time!
:sad2:

I think the Mom posted today. They seem to be napping so much I get sleepy just reading the blog:lmao: They remind me of my grandkids who never get excited about anything.Unless it means spending money on them.Example: One day when they were younger, DD took the 3 of them to Cocoa Beach . They were playing on the beach when all of a sudden, the shuttle took off. Now you know how close the pad is from the beach so DD and her DBF at the time were awestruck and were getting the kids to watch the shuttle go up. She told me they stood there for a few seconds and then wanted to know if they could go back to building their sand castles:confused3
I hope they have a better exciting time the rest of the cruise.

Thanks - I thought I should start now. Part of the fun is in the planning!!!

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

I'm so undecided and conflicted about whether to go on the WB Magic Transatlantic voyage since the cat 12 is soooo affordable. Only my 6 yrl old DGS can go w/me (in fact he'd have to since I have conmmitted to care for him while DSon-in-law finishes school) - I don't want my other 2 GKids to be upset. So, I checked into a summer 4-day cruise w/WDW for the other kids and it's more costly than the transatlantic inclu/airfare!!!!!

I can so envision those 6 sea days - Matt in the kids club and me kicked back - reading & relaxing. What to do ... what to do....

Where is M??? How did the triathalon go???

Okay - good night! Tomorrow is a 6am wake up to resume our work-out program.

BTW...I also have a fish extender like this one, also bought on eBay...it's longer and thinner than my other one, but I liked the snorkeling Mickey on my blue one.

anyone know if they make a Pirate version of this ??????

Not that I would book this, but I just saw this on the DCL website for the August 2007 Repo Cruise. Entered in some info and look at the price that came up for a cat. 12 for three people (2A 1-16YO):

Stateroom One Price: $2,897.00
Government Taxes & Fees: $128.37
Stateroom One Total: $3,025.37

Stateroom One
Breakdown Guest 1 (Adult): $1,141.79
Guest 2 (Adult): $1,141.79
Guest 3 (Child): $741.79

Total Price: $3,025.37
Final Payment (due May 22, 2007): $3,025.37

no transfers, no insurance

Just for the heck of it, I checked airfare from Philly to Barcelona, one way came in at around $550.00 per person.

I wrote all the information down, then read my horoscope in today's newspaper. It stated "DO NOT" make any major purchases today......

Wow,

You got me wondering about these again. I am sitting in my half way home hotel now - Emb Suites, Lompoc. We had a tremendous weekend. Had pretty much nothing but smiles and chuckles the whole time. One of the families thats' sailing with us (my BIL from Boston) announced that they were gonna have another baby! And thier due date happens to coincide with a visit/travel we've already purchased to be in thier area for Thanksgiving!

The times we had in SF were truly wonderful and memorable. Well... that is with the possible exception of Uncle Tom (me) having my 3 YO niece trip and get a quarter sized subdermal hematoma on her forehead. I brought the kids into a vacant meeting room at the St Francis to run around a couple minutes thinking... "what could go wrong in a nearly empty 3000 square foot space? Well... my niece tripped and hit her head on a chair leg from a stack of chairs (the solitary stack of chairs in the room!!!). She survived - however... for a couple hours I was getting a hollow feeling in my stomach while I waited to see if she developeed any symptoms of a more serious head injury. None emerged - and last I heard she was still alive - so seems well. <eyes rolling with chuckles>.

One of the unexpected diversions we experienced was yesterdays' "Bay to Breaker" race/run. We did not come into town for this but it just so happened to be scheduled for yesterday. Several thousand people run in it - with a number who are serious racers.. plus a large number who are in some kind of wacky costume. A few were rumored to be running in a near naked state - which I imagine is likely in a city with the ruputation SF seemes to have - but we saw nothing of the sort. At any rate, the race was fairly good natured with a few elaborate costumes and teams of fun loving folks folks running in "theme". Plus - at one point there were two runners cosumed as a couple of old fashioned wrestlers who were engaged in a funny wrestling match on the spot and they had thier own bull horn equipped anouncer quipping humorous remarks sounding like an old style radio broadcast! AND we saw a pair dressed as the Jack in the Box "JACK" and the Burger King "King". They were more or les tormenting one another! And the list goes on and on.

So... I have not read much to catch up yet. I'm just glancing as I try to relax a bit from the long drive I just had to get to our hotel tonight. Tomorrow I have to catch a train at 7:55AM to get the rest of the way home. My spouse will remain up here another couple of nites for her work. I get to take the kids home of the Amtrak Surfliner - and it will be thier first ocassion to ride this particular train... and it will be the younger ones' 1st train ride! I have my portable DVD player ready and light snacks packed. We'll see if I wake up to catch it - and if I survive the trip!

OK... I'm gonna take a nap now....

Have a great day folks!!!
