Only going for a week, as its kids half term, and a quick relax before the military operation of the MAGIC cruise in July.

We spent yesterday at Taryn's (last) dance recital. I spent the day crying! It was her 14th recital and they announced her departure SNARFLE!

Stace thanks for posting your fish extender, I was able to buy a similar one on ebay yesterday! One less thing......

Really wonderful for them, if that's what they really enjoy, but not for me, thanks. Now maybe if it were in Hawaii or the Caribbean......

Yes, I did get my Med DVD . . . I thought it was a little tentative, as though everyone was terrified of scary ol' Europe . . . and the Scrooge McDuck section was almost unbearably annoying (in my opinion -- there are probably huge fans of him somewhere here on the boards!) . . .

Good luck with the week in Majorca -- make a concerted effort to relax and not over-plan. Plenty of time to overplan on the Magic in the Med!

I have been there on a Princess cruise and enjoyed it, its the place to get Emeralds, great views from the hills near by, old town, old colourful buses.

Beach wasnt so good!

Yes, from my research I was thinking Cartegena was not a beach stop, but we have plenty of them on the repo (pretty much every other stop) . . .

My friend said there is one beach that their family goes to, but it sounds like it's quite a ways from the port.
I was thinking of just wandering around the port area (great photo ops with all the old buildings and such) and SHOPPING!! I'm seeing some emeralds in my future.
Just pretend that's GREEN.

I know what you mean, I kept thinking this is for the USA not us, and to have Europe compared to A SMALL WORLD, well, thats Disney.

The podacsts of the ports are better, but they also include tentative bits on Euros etc.

Will relax, but I am off for a Brain scan in the morning, to look if I have one! maybe if they scan lower they might find mine !!!

Correct, NOT a beach stop, Not a beach!!! well Southend on sea is better they claim thats a beach. The City is nice, but take the DCL dore trips not one to go alone!

Yes Next Monday the 28th is a Bank holiday, but you have one then as well?

They are like buses, you wait a few months and then they all come together, this is the last one to End of August.

Dh would love to be on the ship that long!! Except for the fact that he would have no Tex-Mex for over a month.... he can barely go 3 days without it! Our 16dd would love it but, our 2 youngest (9ds & 5dd) wouldn't want to be away from their home that long.....

I do love to cruise (I've only done DCL) but, there is no way I could stand to be on the ship for that long -- I get motion sick so I have to wear a patch. On the 10nt I lost 10lbs..... I wonder homw much I would lose in 35days???? Maybe I should try that! LOL! Except I don't need to lose that much!

They start on my MED cruise in July and have been posting on our cruise meets thread, they are looking forward to better weather to take the Magic back over the Ocean to Florida.

Hi Steph

You lost 10 lbs because of all the running around you did for everyone !!! Your stateroom was an open-house constantly. If adults weren't there it was the teens!!!

We've still got the door magnet you made for us on display in the kitchen 8 months on !!!

Let us know if they find your brain when they scan tomorrow . . . tell them to increase the magnification if needed -- it has to be there somewhere . . .

I think I could be on the ship that long, and enjoy it, but at some point it's a matter of priorities . . . I actually considered adding on the August Med repo because the prices came down so far, but decided that I'd rather stick with our current plans for after the 10 day Med cruise (5 days in Paris followed by 5 days at Disneyland Paris) -- it actually would have been less money to have stayed on the ship and ridden it home, though. If I had been able to switch those plans to before the cruise, staying on for the repo would have tempted me, but for various reasons we couldn't do that.
