You can in 444 days & I'll be expecting it! ;) Thanks!

Somehow I think there will be lots of hugs, for the pain and suffering and the happiness and joy that has been shared on here, along with the pure pleasure of meeting each other after so many months!

Congrats again....

sigh...

... OK, maybe I'm not missing anything after all.

:thumbsup2

And I'm sorry to say I don't know. I just google the images which sort-a illustrate what I'm thinkin' of. I don't actually read many captions that go with the pictures! Nor do I know what Ann Coulter looks like. OK... let me google her name....

Well... this appears to be her web site http://www.anncoulter.com/cgi-local/welcome.cgi as I cannot sort through all the wierd doctored images to see which is a real book of hers and which a parody. And from what I can gather she is (according to wikipedia) a conservative in the dual mold of "Rush L in a miniskirt". SO - I have never heard of her before (and I complain about others who have NOT seen Star Wars yet)... and of course, I've never read any of her books or witnessed her commentary on the radio or TV. Or at least... not knowingly.

But this appears to be one of her real books - and not a parody:

NOTE...

I do not seek to stir up a ruckus - I am not taking any political positions or otherwise endorsing or condemning A Coulter. AND yes... the original image I posted a doctored one of this person. I did not know who she was when I did so.

No, I'm not trying to stir up anything myself. It just looked like her.

Well JR buddy, it was nice knowing you!

Perhaps its comments like that (and once every ten years) that lead to the early demise. He didn't say if the grandmothers were in jail for offing the offending spouse? :lmao:

I hesitate to post this here, mainly because I hate bringing this thread down & you are all having such fun, but since I did let you all know that I had to fly down to Florida as soon as we got back from HHI, because my mother had yet another blockage in her heart & I think it's only fair I keep you updated. We since found out it she was inoperable due to her age (77), emphazema, etc. & unfortunately she passed away yesterday. I am truly okay & at peace, especially since I got to say my goodbyes a few weeks ago. The last time I spoke with her was on was fittingly on Mother's Day. She is in a way better place than she had been in a very long time & truly she kept saying she was tired & she just wanted to go. She was back & forth from a rehab hospital to a regular hospital. She was on her death bed one minute & fine the next. :confused3 She went back in the hospital Sunday due to congestive heart failure. They had her sitting in the chair yesterday & she asked to lay down because she was not feeling well & she died shortly after. The nurses say she passed peacefully. She is to be cremated & her remains sent up here for burial with my father. We are hoping for a graveside service next weekend so I probably won't be on much next week. But really I am fine & in fact had posted as usual yesterday, shortly after finding out. I was enjoying all the POC intrigue & didn't want to interrupt. ;)

:grouphug: Thinking of you.

Since the site isn't up yet...and I have been keeping up with this on the old site...thought that I would post here so that people don't have to keep up with the pirates.

Pirating Milestones

Wenches: 34 Jack: 4 Swabbies: 22 Evil Twins: 1

{snip snip}

61000 wdwlvrs - S ?

I had a question mark at first, but the post that got the pirate: referenced DW so I assumed it was DH and therefore a swabbie.

Well - Well - Well.....

The Swabbies appear to actually be catching up on the Wenches! It seems like just yesterday I thought we were hopelessly relegated to 2nd place behind the wenches... but clearly we've made considerable progress in catching up! Check out the current tally:

The swabbies have taken the last 6 pirate prizes and 7 of the last 10 .... and 14 of the last 20! Lets get the next 4 men to make it TEN in a ROW!!!!

Lets'

TAKE WHAT YA CAN!!!!

Why don't you just give the wenches some motivation? :lmao:

GIVE NOTHING BACK!!!

You should see what I didn't post....

I was afraid of offending some folks

so I'll just leave it up to your imagination!

<chuckles>

Those are too funny! Last night at dd's softball game they started chanting'" Theres a runner at 3rd who has to go p** send her home!" All the adults started laughing. Than they went on to chant about the runner at 2nd who had to do #2! After that the coach gave them the evil eye and they quit. :lmao:

Umm, Crash, if this is from KANSAS, why does the small print saw "FLORIDA Petroleum Marketers..."? :rotfl:

(Actually, these stickers are quite common -- we have them on pumps here in IL, too. I've never been quite clear why the penalty for shoplifting gas is losing your drivers license but the penalty for shoplifting food is not to lose your stomach).

Its from leading the police on a three state high speed chase....

Esteri!

I'd like to plan the mini-meet for Saturday August 25, 2007 at poolside at the DVC Villas at the Wilderness Lodge. I'm just waiting for my DBIL to book his trip as they need to leave by August 26th to be back in NYC. His DD is starting High School and needs to be back by then.:)
Count us in! I'm writing it in the calendar.

Peter - will anyone be around on Sept. 1, 2007? The Magic arrives back from Med - my plane doesn't leave until 7pm that night. Sooooo, I was wondering ....... is Arlene keeping track of who's where when???
I'd love to have lunch or something w/anyone who is in the area on that day. Thanks.
Chris, Lucky it's a Sat. So far it will be you, David and hoepfully DH and me. Sounds like a cake is in order. Maybe we'll meet at Ghiradelli? Ice cream?

We'll be around on that day - it's my 41st birthday as well !!

David
Cake!!!!!!

So Sorry!:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

Jack, we have a stipulation no dating until they are 30 or after they are married. :rotfl2:
Didn't work:rotfl:

I grew up in a family business - sold furniture, clothing, some food stuffs, and porcelin ware. We would get shoplifting teams come in and they would sometimes cause a distraction at one end while the others worked the store elsewhere (we had one floor with 3500' and another with about 1800'). We got to the point where we could spot them coming in and we would just declare the store was closing for lunch... and if they had been inside a while before we noticed them we could close shop and call security... then conduct a search of the store for missing goods before we let them go. Once we had security go to thier car as a few of them escaped before we could lock the doors - and at the car we found they had stolen steaks from the supermarket ... in addition to some things fromour store and other local stores. So... really the stories I have from the 25 years my family had that store are virtually endless. Including the stories of theft, gangs, and general business so on.

ON another note... while googling for images I ran across a few interesting images from Kansas. There they have a program suggesting they are stiff in punishing drivers who drive off without paying for thier fuel. I did not read through everything as I was mostly trolling for entertaining images - but here it is ... it's a bumper sticker I think...

Working in retail once, some gal tried to walk out with around 10 silk blouses. Would've gotten away with it but she stuck them under her skirt (big woman here) and left them on the hangers. The hangers were sticking out from under her skirt.:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Morning everyone! Hope everyone is having a great day. DD went on meet and greet with IKEA this am. She started out yesterday but somewhere there was a miscommunication about the wording of between 9 and 1. It was a 4 hour deal and she had to do it today. Wish her luck :wizard: she really does want to get out of her current job at Pier 1 and work for them.Don't know why she wants to subject herself to another retail job but she loves IKEA and well can't explain.
Andy!!! Angelinas tat is pretty. My dd has a few small ones. Got them after she got married. DH wants one but I won't let him:rotfl:

699 3rd and 4th. Yeah, but that price I don't think included the taxes etc, so I was thinking it would be close to Andys quote.

Oh Deb, the pup is soooo cute. Someday I'll figure out how to post pic of Rocky(Boston terrier)

I know that her staying with the cut off date means that she will start college at age 17!!! :scared1: She may have to spend a year at a local CC.

Why....? I was 17 when i left for college. (Oct birthday) It's really no big deal... The only year it really mattered was Junior/Senior year as every one was turning 21 and going to the bars. There was even one girl in my class who had a March b-day (meaning she was 5 months even younger than me.)

Here's the new Furr Baby:dogdance:

5-29-07playtime.jpg

Awwww...

All together now:

"AWWWWW, HOW CUTE"

Hey you didn't wait for me....

OMG what a cutie!!! Almost has a Mickey on the nose! ::MickeyMo

That whole pink nose thing is so cute... In some breeds, areas of the nose take longer to get their dark pigment. Abby's nose was like this and she still has pick areas across the top of her nose.

None, you take the elevator to the spa..... :lmao:

Hey wait....I call shower #1 in Women's spa room..... (It's really convienent to run/elevator up there from my room) Much roomier than the bathroom in the cabin.
