Up at 2:30am and can't wait to get to the Dr's. Having this arm strapped to my body is driving me crazy. Hopefully he'll remove the stiches and let me get to rehab. I do the shopping and cooking in our house, so the inactivity has me climbing the walls. Eight months into our budget year and we've blow the whole years allotment. Looking for donations :sad2: Too many vacations last year, we'll have to tighten the belt buckle. Actually now that we're baby sitting we'll be forced to settle down, except in June We'll have the Princess cruise to pay off. Wish I had a few thousand british pounds.

You can go ahead and claim my lottery winnings, if you like.

Budget????? Budget????? Oh no, now I'm getting all weepy again   If I really think about the price of the Repo I'd BAIL!!

Anyway.....how can we possible budget for the Trip Of A Lifetime right? (At least that's what I keep telling myself)

Budget, budget ........ I don't need no stinking budget.

Now I do need cash! :goodvibes

ok our office has now hit a new thermostat record....

It's now 83 degrees..... :firefight

 I'm dying and have no more clothes left to take off...

(i'm wearing pants and a thin sleeveless shirt)

Oh course it's 83 degrees outside too and our high is supposed to be 86...

Let's go 86...

There has to be some type of OSHA code management is violating.....

PS.. edited to mention that it will be another 2-3 weeks before the a/c is installed in the building....

This is a little late in responding, but I know what you are going thru. I worked in an office that had sun all day and my office was in the front of the building. The temp inside would be warmer then outside. I was always sweating as the girl who shared an office was always cold. The thermostat was always set at 80.(why bother having a/c if it isn't being put to the use it was made for). I had two fans going which didn't help at all. I evenutally left that company. I threatened that I would be wearing my Mickey Mouse bathing suit with my Mickey pareo!

I want to get a loft bed made for DD due to her room being too small. I want the dresser to be under the bed area so the bunk would actually be half the height of a regular bunk.

Oh one more thing to consider with the loft bed. If you plan to have a desk under the bed remember unless you have a high ceiling, there really isn't too much room on top. My DD was able to sit up with her friends but bumping heads is a minus.
My grandkids had the high beds they carried at Rooms to Go Kids. The bed rested on the dressers and one had the desk pull out on the side and the other had the desk at the end of the bed on the foot side. They offered add ons to make it look like forts, castles and slides.
I don't see their sets here but some are close

Morning Everyone:goodvibes

ok it's barely 8 am

and the current office temp 87 degrees

Yes, it's hotter than yesterday.

i go home when i start seeing spots....

The county remodled this building and we just moved in- in February. They figured we wouldn't need the a/c right away so didn't install the chillers....

A couple people have already complained to HR....

Throw us a fan at least....

They did at least come in two weeks ago and unstick the painted shut windows so we could open them.

Unfortunately, we have a spanish restaurant next door and below us so it's charred flesh, smoke coming in the windows starting about 10:30 am....

Good Morning:surfweb:

Sorry to hear about all the hot offices(temp wise). i hope they can get you some fans. Would they consider buying some window a/c's if they would work?

It is going to be another warm one here in Williamsburg, VA. Yesterday 89 today it should be the same. The dog doesn't even want to go outside!

I read about the new DCL ships. I thought the year was 2010 not 2011. When can we book!!!!
Can you imagine booking a cruise on a ship that hasn't even been built yet and not for another 3 or 4 years!
We are true DCLaholics!!! Wouldn't have it any other way.

Hope everyone has a great Tuesday!!

Talk to you later!!!

I read about the door magnets. I am glad they lifted the ban. All of our signs were magnetic. They make the doors so fun to look at. We do have alot of talented door sign makers. It makes it so much easier to find your room if you are out and need to find your room.

BTW I think it's just wonderful that we are all so close that you guys can take turns making fun of me when I'm not around...

:)

Anything to make you happy!

But aren't we all around all the time, virtually?

Of course I'm driving in this morning, I'm stopped at a light and the woman in front of me has a sticker on her window that says "Life's short, play hockey naked"

Immediately wondered if there would be any responses here to last nights hockey related posts, then thought about the prospect of watching a bunch of women playing hockey sans clothes.... I have got to get my priorities straight.

:lmao:

And watch out for the ceiling fan.

Just wanted to say if you are sports fan then Detroit isn't to bad a town to be in right now.

Tigers in 1st place so far in AL
Pistons up 2-0 in Playoffs
Redwings, I hear they are doing pretty good too.

It is exciting to read the sports sections again.

Well the good news is that we can have liberal leave due to the temp of the building.

The bad news is that i only have 5 hrs of vacation time. :sad2: so i'm stuck here.

But they need to understand that "liberal leave" means you get to go without being charged time......:rotfl:

And ... sometimes I tell her that her best bargain was finding ... me. Then she usually shoots back a wry remark of some kind... sigh.

That's funny - when DH called to talk to my dad before he asked me to marry him my dad mumbled something like: "Are you sure? She can be expensive."

I worked in an office in San Diego without air condiitioning for about 2 years. It was warm. We didn't have to wear nylons with a skirt/dress because it was so hot. Then they remodeled one of the buildings & added air conditioning, so HR added 'no bare legs' to the dress code. I wasn't in the new building - still no air. I hated the job anyway, so I decided they could fire me if they wanted to. The crazy HR ladies just raised a daily fuss, but never did aything 'official' to me.

I may or may not be on a DCL list. I am definately on my TA's list.

:lmao:

Hockey players would never play naked. Too wimpy without their gear.
Now figure skaters are another story. We are used to nothin' between us and the ice but < a square yard of lycra.

I do both, although mostly hockey these days. I'm still amazed when I get knocked down that it doesn't hurt to hit the ice. I know I'm wearing gear, but my brain hasn't made the split second conversion when I'm on the way down. 30 years of figure skating - three years of hockey. (note expensive comment above)

And yes, you do need to get your priorities straight.

It will all work out . . .And you can still play hockey in DC (well at least in a rink . . .)
