Good Evening Gang

Just signed back on for a few minutes. I'm working on hooking up the computer my brother Rob sent down for my mom so she can start posting on the thread.

Anyhow, I took the attached photo of my mom and her brothers Pete(sitting next to my mom) and Al (sitting next to Pete) while my mom was eating dinner tonight. My mom had to work until 7pm, so she got to the Bar-B-Q a little late.

We are going to De Leon Springs tomorrow afternoon. Lina is sounding better, we think her allergies are just acting up again.

Pretty good lookin bunch ya got there. Happy to hear Lina feelin a bit better.

I am going to start taking pictures from ones you guys post on the thread for the website if you guys don't start sending me your pictures. ;)

How's it going with the site, is it almost up?

Jeff & Theresa are doing a great job! The beta site is fantastic with all the deck maps and placeholders for the Navigators. Just wish we could get some video of each room category as well as shots of the "special" verandah rooms. Well, we're a friendly bunch so I'm sure we'll be able to get photos/video of the missing staterooms on a sea day :)

that's a good one, mr.V!, i really thought the lil'fuzzy ground hog
hitched a hide with you all...:rolleyes1

dear andrew, yes the crow nest might be available, but probably
limited spacing... , however, :thumbsup2 ..i guess your
april's first comments a joke?..but it made sense..maybe that's
why dcl doesn't do mississipi cruises? :scratchin

has anyone been in the life boats? ...i've heard they have all the
conviences of home...well except out the door plumbing...but so
easy its been rumor, a caveman can do it! ......psst from a good
source....everything else even a blender.

:goodvibes , all shookup, "material things" have never been one of
my life goals..i mean, what can a person acquire, to make them
into a "real boy, or girl..for that matter....99 , we felt our cruise
was going to be once in a life time...even now, while we enjoy the
oppturnity to go whenever,
i think i will always "hold" our first wdw trips as some of our
favorites! [ i hate to admitt it, but iam sorta jealous over those
doung dcl the first time...when i used to know nothing...which
isn't to much from today :rolleyes1 ]

i guess i am driven by my family insights..if jordan hadn't came along,
i just don't think we would be doing disney like we have the last few
years. [ why get so rile up over the texas reference..it seem we are
always trying to be so advance..we are getting kill by the simple things,
being overlooked!]

my lil'miss cute pie..has no idea what i have shared..probably a
good thing...he,he,he,....she had forbidden me to talk about her..
:rolleyes1 [she should have know better], maybe it is a good idea
to know how one can sneak into the lifeboats... , and if the
others noticed knots poppin up...., however, i don't think she'll
have any memory problems over these things..*like the lil' outfit,
what was it?..the rodeo baby.

i'll have to mentioned that, ms. miscme2003, to my wife...about the
airlines' check ins. thanks. [ it would be nice to have something to
add instead of following her lead...]

ok? who "saw" themselves tonight on the new disney cruise show?
hey?!, right before they showed twiced charmed..in front of the
walt disney lobby..was the lady i mentined before..security? huh?

 , to sk8..hoping the rest of your journey is trouble free.

Andy, you're going to have to take DW out to a real diner that has creamed chipped beef gravy (aka SOS) when she comes to DE!!!! She's been harping about the stuff since we left the East Coast. In fact, one guy told her that that's an East Coast thing (or she could try one of the military bases). But we finally found a lead on a place here in town that has it from a waitress at a diner. :woohoo: I checked their website and sure enough, they list it. I called to verify and yes, they confirmed it was still on the menu. :yay:

So today we went...and it was worse than an April Fool's joke....

Their version of the muck involved CORNED BEEF :sad2:

So not only was she pi**ed about it, but now she's been saying that these people out here don't know good eatin'!!! :rolleyes1

I can't tell you how much I LOVE that I have found an entire community of other people who just NEED to know the location of the 4 closest liquor stores 17 months before a trip!

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

One MUST have one's priorities in order!! :thumbsup2

But to be TRULY on the ball, the map would also have information about hours and selection (because for people on a TOAL, money is no object!)

:thumbsup2
"happy thoughts"...& doing my part....:flower3: , did i ever mentioned
we have the most "beautiful wenches " anywhere?

true!!!! pixiedust:

I have a feeling Lil' Grumpy you say that to all the wenches even on all the other threads.:lmao: :lmao:

Just back from Office Max, where I bought the Linksys Wireless-G Notebook Adapter with Speed Booster. WPC54GS. I hope this works! :thumbsup2
Now if I could just get someone to install it for me.....:confused3

Sound like you are really high tech now. I have no idea what it all is but sounds great.:rotfl2:

They estimate that 80% of what is bought in scrapbooking is not used.

I think I have more like 99% of the stuff I bought in scrapbooking is not used. I did one page and have spent over $150.00. Lets see if I do 10 pages it might only cost me $1500. I hope my DH never reads this thread!!!! At least I am earning more Disney Dollars.:rotfl2::thumbsup2

Thanks for the report so far Andy!!! :goodvibes I talked to Arlene and she is getting me so jealous of your mini meet. Have a great time, all of you Diser's.:grouphug: Do not break MR's blender!!! Use it but don't abuse it!!!!:lmao: :lmao:

So that is my goal! Use 20% of what I have. :goodvibes

If I give you my 99% of unused scrapbooking material, I would be at 100%!!!!!:cool1:

Hey, that sounds like such a realistic goal!
Goal yes!!! Is it going to happen??? NO

Get yourself some sleep Man.......... I'll need you to keep me awake next Thursday Night when we do the straight thru drive LOL...remember we have your cell numbers !!! ............ Plan on seeing you Friday at the mini meet !!!! Have a Blast !!!

Mark

How long do you figure it is going to take Mark??? We made it straight thru in 20 hours!!! Sorry about keeping Lori up, we had fun chatting. How is DD doing???

Received this e-mail from DCL this morning concerning the Panama crossing.

Thank you for booking a vacation with Disney cruise line, we have some important information concerning the Panama crossing 15 night cruise on August 17th, 2008.

Since your last vacation and our last transit of Panama, we have added a number of new features to the Disney Magic, including the Dumbarton an on deck LED videoscreen wall at the Goofy pool to show late night movies and an enhanced Vista Spa and salon area.

When adding these features to the cruise ship for everyone’s extra enjoyment, it also added weight to the overall ship. This has affected our buoyancy ratio, it is not any problem in normal sea operations, however in freshwater we have identified a problem, as the buoyancy is far less than in sea water.

The Panama crossing is in freshwater and therefore there is a small possibility if the ship is fully occupied and with the additional features as mentioned above the Panama authorities have told us the ship might not rise in the locks.

I am sure you would not wish the ship to travel in any circumstance where safety is compromised, Maritime law dictates we must make provision, so we will have to make some additional conditions of carriage on the Panama crossings, as follows:-

Luggage. Must be restricted to one bag per person.

Any souvenirs purchased in Acapulco should be shipped home, not taken onboard.

Food, the ship will be loaded in Los Angeles with sufficient food upto the Panama Canal and reloaded in Cartagena food will be restricted on the day of the crossing, to add extra buoyancy, and will consist of Salads and light snacks only all day.

We further ask all cruisers who are over 12 stone to either diet before the cruise or work out in the gym each day before the crossing to ensure the safety of the ship. Servers will restrict desserts to one per person until after the crossing.

The Captain reserves the right to ask large cruisers at the first lock of the panama canal to either get off and catch the train to the other end, or when the ship is in the lock to ‘jump’’ upwards when the bridge makes an announcement, ship to assist its levitation.

We hope these restrictions do not effect your enjoyment of this cruise and look forward to sailing with you! Have a Magical Day!

Health and safety.
April 1st 2007.

Okay Andrew, I am a blond and fell for it.:rotfl2: DH wished me a Happy Birthday today!!! He said it Fool's Day isn't it. He got nothing for supper!!!:lmao:

I'm back in Minneapolis for another 4 hours. . .

I've spent the last 2 days having my heart ripped apart for a man I barely knew, a wife I've spoken with a few times, and parents whom I had never met before.

And there but for the grace of God go I....

Someone important noticed your great act of kindness!!! God. Need I say more.:goodvibes

My mom makes really good creamed chipped beef gravy, I can't tell you how many times we had that for dinner growing up. Poor that over toast, yum! yum! It's the simple things in life that makes me happy.

It was so nice sitting around the dinner table last night watching my mom and her two brothers talk about old times. Many laughs were shared last evening. We were even thinking of my grandmother who would have turned 91 today, and how she must be looking down smiling at her three kids together again.

OK, I'm getting a bit mushy here, but I really do miss my gram, she was one special lady.

Good Morning:goodvibes

Andy, we're meeting at OKW? Just checking. Will be driving out to Sarasota today and will be back tomorrow. So I will have some Ketchuping up. Have to get Rockys stuff together as he is spening the day with his Uncle Chad. Can't bring him to my Moms as she would be upset if he jumps on her furniture.

Good morning everyone!

Today we are leaving for Disney World. As soon as the girls get out of school we leave! Hurray. Very excited.:dance3: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

We will be meeting several fellow cruisers at the OKW Resort, Friday April 6, 2007. Should be fun!

Unlike Andy we will not be taking the lap top, so will be posting when we get back.

Hope everyone stays healthy!
