GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!!:surfweb:

The boards were down again overnite? Andy I tried to sign on at4:10AM and it came up error again.
I was hoping not to go thru dis withdrawel again!

I NEED MY DIS!!!

Hope everyone has a nice day. The weather is supposed to get in the high 70's here.

Now you are scaring me, my 9yo DS is KING of the mood swings and drama and you mean to tell me it gets worse?:scared:

I guess with 2 DS, the training bra won't be an issue, but if the older one's mood swings get worse......yikes!

Oh yea, it gets funner(my word)............:lmao: we have the queen of the "Drama Queens" in our house, and she knows it too......................:rotfl2: don't let that sweet innocent smile fool you.................;)

Hello Everyone and Happy Wednesday!!!

I see the boards were down for a chunk of the day which means I should be able to ketchup pretty quick!

I had my DS home today with 101 temperature.....just want we need this close to vacation ugh! Tomorrow to the Dr. with him!!

MaryRose - I hop your son:sick: is feeling better today! Good luck today at the Drs.

My friend, the proud mother of three teenager daughters just emailed this to me. I am posting this is to all my friends who are currently are parents of teenage girls or will in the future be parenting teenage girls. Alot of this also applies to teenage boys too. So this is for parents of stinky teens! Enjoy!

Congratulations! You are now the proud new owner of a
teenaged daughter. Please read this manual carefully, as it
describes the maintenance of your new daughter, and answers
important questions about your warranty (which does NOT
include the right to return the product to the factory for a
full refund).

IF YOU FEEL YOU HAVE RECEIVED YOUR TEENAGER IN ERROR: To
determine whether you were supposed to receive a teenaged
girl, please examine your new daughter carefully. Does she
(a) look very similar to your original daughter, only with
more makeup and less clothing? (b) refuse to acknowledge
your existence on the planet Earth (except when requesting
money)? (c) sleep in a burrow of dirty laundry? If any of
these are true, you have received the correct item. Nice
try, though.

BREAK-IN PERIOD: When you first receive your teenaged
daughter, you will initially experience a high level of
discomfort. Gradually, this discomfort will subside, and you
will merely feel traumatized. This is the "Break-In Period,"
during which you are becoming accustomed to certain
behaviors that will cause you concern, anxiety, and stress.
Once you have adapted to these behaviors, your teenager will
start acting even worse.

ACTIVATION: To activate your teenaged daughter, simply place
her in the vicinity of a telephone. No further programming
is required.

SHUTDOWN: Several hours after activation, you may desire to
shut down your teenaged daughter. There is no way to do
this.

CLEANING YOUR TEENAGED DAUGHTER: Having a teenaged daughter
means learning the difference between the words "clean" and
"neat." Teenaged daughters are very clean, because they take
frequent showers that last more than an hour. They will
scrub themselves with expensive, fragrant soaps which you
must purchase for them because like I'm sure I'm going to
use like the same kind of soap my mom and dad use. When they
have completely drained the hot-water tank, they will step
out and wrap themselves in every towel in the bathroom, which
they will subsequently strew throughout the house. If
you ask them to pick up the towels, you are confusing
"clean" with "neat." Teenagers are very busy and do not have
time to be neat. They expect others to pick up after them.
These others are called "parents."

FEEDING YOUR TEENAGED DAUGHTER: Your teenaged daughter
requires regular meals, which must be purchased for her at
restaurants because she detests everything you eat because
it is like so disgusting. She does not want you to accompany
her to these restaurants, because some people might see you
and like I'm sure I want my friends to see me eating dinner
with my parents. Either order take-out food or just give her
the money, preferably both. If you order pizza, never answer
the doorbell because the delivery boy might see you and
OMG he is so hot. Yes, your daughter's idea of an
attractive man is the pizza boy.

CLOTHING YOUR TEENAGED DAUGHTER: Retailers make millions of
dollars a year selling stylish and frankly sensible clothing
which will look adorable on your daughter. If you enjoy
shopping, you will love the vast selections which are
available to you. Unfortunately, your teenaged daughter
wants to dress like a lap dancer. You may be able to coerce
her into putting on a cute outfit before leaving the house,
but by the time she walks in the schoolhouse door, she will
be wearing something entirely different.

OTHER MAINTENANCE: Teenaged daughters require one of two
levels of maintenance: "High," and "Ultra High." Your
daughter is "Ultra High." This means that whatever you do
won't be enough and whatever you try won't work.

WARRANTY: This product is not without defect because she has
your genes, for heaven's sake. If you think this is not
fair, talk to your parents, who think it is hilarious. Your
teenaged daughter will remain a teenager for as long as it
takes for her to become a woman, which in her opinion has
already happened and as far as you are concerned never
really will. If you are dissatisfied with your teenaged
daughter, well, what did you expect? In any event, your
warranty does not give you your little girl back under any
circumstances, except that deep down she's actually still
there -- you just have to look for her.

So scary, yet so true!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :scared1:  :scared1:

I know. When I went to sign on it came up Data Error. I thought oh no not again! But then after awhile a was able to sign on. Could not go thru another day without my DIS.
(Doesn't it sound pitiful that it seems that this is the only thing I have to do?)

Hello folks!

I've been off a couple of days due to an abrupt complications with my computer. My spouse was away one nite with her computer and the kids computer is still sort of new - and I had not installed the Wifi antenna - and I sort of forgot the administrator password and the wifi password. A double complication. Add to that my time has been extremely limited with one of the kids ill with a fever. So... I am accessing with my spouses' computer - while earlier tonight I ran my sick notebook over to friends' place asss he is extremely agile managing systems and fixing problems.

At any rate, I have limited access to this computer nutil I resolve the antenna and wifi passwords. Both managable once I get enough time to settle into it. Not now as I am about to tunr in... and the get around the admn password I have to call HP and get a USB token disc on key to use as a physical key

I'm turning in now.. cheers everyone!

IEP's? AIG? DEP's? Can you translate please. Our DS was in the gifted program starting in 4th grade until he left elementary. now in Junior High they don't have anything for that except advanced math and history. Next year he can also add Advanced English. I fought for 3 years for him to be recognized as needing more of a challenge. Finally, at the end of the 3rd grade when the MEAP scores came in they were willing to believe what we knew all along.

We have a program like this at our school also. It's called EPP (Extended Projects Program). It begins for students in the 2nd grade, but they are tested in the 1st grade.

They have programs for Language Arts and Math. Ds has been in it since 3rd grade, and dd, who is in the first grade now, is being tested for next year. It is extremely selective, though. You cannot get in on teacher recommendation alone. All students are screened, then some of those students will move on to further testing. You have to score in the top 95th %tile on a NATIONAL scale to move on to IQ testing. Then, they have to score a certain # or above on the IQ test to be allowed to participate. Dd will be finishing the IQ testing next Tuesday, and we will wait to find out if she gets into the program for next school year.

Keep your fingers crossed for her.....she really wants to get into this program like her big brother!

Not quite sure what you are talking about, but hope you get it resolved soon. We miss ya.

Wow , only 1 1/2 pages to catch up. Last night was a breeze as well.

So, SAnjaya is still in it. OY!!!!.I really liked Stephanie and really wanted the chrome dome out. Still can't stand to look at his head:rotfl2:

Laura, congrats on your DD being selected. I know how exciting it is for them.

Andy, try not to slip and slide anymore. Maybe we need to get you a pair of ice shoes:lmao: Hopefully this will all melt away this week.

Angelina said, "Yes they do have a Phillie Phanatic that can be made, and they even have a few sound effects that can be added, such as "Take me out to the ballgame and ............Charge" and yes, I'm sure the place will be crazy once the Phanatic arrives.

That's such a cute idea! I wonder if the Build-a-Bear stores in our area ever do a Build-a-Brutus Buckeye? People around here would eat that up!

So, here's the scoop on the veterinary emergency...
I returned form Portland yesterday to our 13 year old dog, Kaiya, who was in quite a bit of distress. She was fine when DH left for his school Board of Trustees meeting at 6:30. When I got home (at 8) she was obviously in pain, and looked like she was bloating (this is potentially a life threatening problem).

 prayers & PD for your fur-person.....

At least you knew to think about bloat....many people don't and it's too late before it is caught....

Could your vet tack the stomach without major surgery? (like a lap method for humans?)

Let us know how it goes today......
