Well, I am a bit nervous today. Mark and I start dancing lessons tonight. Our church offers classes for couples. It is suppose to be swing and other types. I have no dance experience and no rhythm. I grew up in a church that did not allow dancing so I never had the opportunity to learn. I will probably be the entertainment for the rest of the class. :cool1: :cool1: That is probably how I will dance, or maybe like this.

I hope that you all enjoyed it. It sounds like a lot of fun. Wish my DH liked to dance.

Hey Crew -

I have a quote for the t-shirts... These prices include set up, sales tax, credit card fees, etc. they do NOT include shipping. If there is a lot of interest in the shirts my thought is to put them on my eBay store (not in an auction) as eBay provides inventory and shipping support that will be needed if there are a lot of orders. If we're worried about the "general public" ordering shirts I can put a notice in the item that only folks on the manifest may order and all other orders will be cancelled. If we don't care then I won't. Also, I'll be able to take credit cards through my PayPal account. I figure the ordering "window" will be several weeks long for each order. (Supposing we have more than one.)

I have a lot of questions that need to be answered. I'll put together an email and ask Lisa to send it out - not eveyone on the manifest is monitoring the board. (That would be folks with real lives?? :rotfl: ) Based on the answers I receive I'll know that best way to do this is make the most folks happy.

I also got a quote for door magnets. 3" x 8" (fold a piece of paper into thirds - it's a little smaller than that). I'm thinking one, Just in Time order for them - provided there is enough interest.

And the printer can print up other stuff - bags, mugs, etc. Again, provided there is enough interest.

That said, here are the quotes... (Blast the formattting went away! I'll try and figure out how to fix that.)

T-shirt: Port Authority, 6.1oz, 100% cotton T

---------------50---- 100---- 200
Black, 1 sided $19.37 $15.10 $12.76
Black, 2 sided $26.89 $19.99 $16.10

White, 1 sided 16.30 14.21 12.53
White, 2 sided 23.81 17.98 14.17

Can mix colors to get the quantity discount (e.g.: 25 black, + 75 white = 100 prices) Not certain if we can mix 1-sided and 2-sided for the same discounts. Somehow, I doubt it. We'll need to decide on the number of sides we want printed. (Yes, the Captn is creating art work for both side.) It may come down to how many folks want shirts. A 2-sided shirt at the 200 level is cheaper than the 1 sided at the 50 level.

Door Magnet: 3" x 8", full color digital print on .030 white magnetic material

----------50-- 100-- 200
Magnets $5.40 $4.18 $3.21

Questions I need answers to include things like:
How many shirts do you plan on ordering?
When would you like to order them? (Now, Christmas, Just in Time)
Is it more important that you have them at a certain time, or get the best price?
Is eBay / PayPal a problem for you?
Do you prefer 1-sided or 2-sided shirts? Or do you care?
Which is more important, the number of sides or price?
Do you want a door magnet? How many?
Are you interested in other stuff? What?

We can bounce some ideas around here if we want.

Thanks so much for this undertaking.

That is really true. I never got to get past the paranoid stage--just having DS.:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

One of my ds11's best friends at school is a lukemia survivor. She lost her hair in preschool and it didn't start growing back until 2nd grade. Donating to Locks of Love has becaome a very popular thing in ds's grade. His friend, who survived cancer donated last year and is working on growing it out again to donate. What a great trend! I hear more and more of young girls making the decision to do this, and it makes me so hopeful and proud of the next generation. What a wonderful thing your daughter did!

My dd certainly can't donate her hair....it's so thin, I think they would reject it! But she to, has a very generous and giving nature. A couple of summers ago she participated in a video at school that was made as a training tool for teaching students (before she entered Kindergarten) and earned $75 for her participation. She was so excited to get that check in the mail. She waited all summer, checking the mail daily. She had picked out some clothes that she wanted to buy with her earnings. I guess there was a lot of paperwork and whatnot to get the checks to the students. At any rate the check finally arrived right before the start of the school year. This was the same summer that Hurricane Katrina hit. Well, they were taking up a collection at Church for the victims, and she told me she wanted to donate the whole $75! I get teary-eyed just thinking about it still. I guess we are doing something right!

:woohoo: your DD sounds very sweet.

I'm sorry, but I don't see the problem -- if all the relevant info is posted on the first page (which it is and will continue to be), and if you can get a quick answer to a question if you need it (which you will -- just post and see how many answers you will get within 10 minutes), why not just forget about reading all the off-topic stuff and leave that to the people who want to? What does it hurt to let people (who want to) have fun and get to know each other?

No flames,by the way!

I agree:confused3 we are all getting to know each other.

* plez note, my primary reason for going on a cruise is for "fun with
mickey"...from experiences, it is so much better when making new
freinds and sharing common interests.

:grouphug:  & :flower3: ..to all those posting here! i'll
sail with you any where! pirate:

:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

:scared1: It is 3.55 at our WM & that is the cheapest in town. :sad2: It is over $4.00 at the other stores.

I really think that milk pricing is regulated in some states. I may be wrong about that.

You didn't even notice that I was gone Saturday, Sunday, Monday & Tuesday........
I am so not feeling the love....

I was feeling the exact same way I was gone for 8 days.

But then again I'm always talking to myself, since I almost always sign on when nearly everyone is gone for the evening. Oh, well. :sad1: And Stace I noticed, I thought maybe you had gone on vacation already.

Have A very Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone!!!

Oh, then we will be doing pretty much the same thing! My neice called earlier today, and I invited her and my nephew to come and stay the night tomorrow. They are very close in age to my kids, so we love having them. I feel like a second mom to them.

My 2 are the blondies....my sisters kid's are all brunette...

Sorry, having a bit of trouble keeping up with the thread lately AND it appears when I try to post 9 times out of 10 the board isn't working. Is it just me or is this happening to everyone lately? :confused3 :(

Glad to see you back Bip:)
