I just booked our first DVC stay today. We go in September for 8 days.

I booked the Villas at Wilderness Lodge for this trip.

My next DVC trip will be in December but I can't book this until June 'cause DW wants to stay at the Animal Kingdom Lodge which opens in October. We'll see.

We really like the WLV. You will enjoy your stay. Good luck booking your AKL stay. I would probably pick an alternate also for that one--it may be tough to get.

Gee, I should make notes while I'm reading the posts or try multi-post replys - but Congrats to Angelina, Glad to hear folks are healing - my prayers still w/you all.

It's just after 6pm in So.Cal and I've got to fix dinner and all - and we plan to leave early for DL tomorrow so I'll try but I doubt I'll get back later - and East Coast will be asleep by then!!

With all the talk of games (have no idea what Bunco is) - does anyone play backgammon?

Anyone want anything from DL that I can pick up tomorrow?

Oh, DD got her boss's travel pro checking out the charter bus for the DL to Long Beach.

For me, it would have to be the Warm Chocolate Lava Cake with Ice Cream!!! :thumbsup2

LOL..... :lmao: :thumbsup2

Two of my co-workers and I started walking for 20-30 minutes at lunchtime this week. We use the parking garage next door. It's not too busy, has even surfaces, and all three of us can walk side by side which can't be said about the sidewalks intown. There's a nice open air level up top to walk around on the nice days and under cover on the rainy ones like today. So I'm proud to say that we actually did about 35 minutes today, even broke a sweat.......

......then we went back to my office and finished off the leftover nachos & fixings from a party last week. :lmao: :lmao:

Oh well... we'll try again next week. :thumbsup2

My DW took a DVD of indoor walking exercise to the office. Several of the women take the morning break and walk to it everyday.

hi everyone! sorry i havent been on in a long time but i had to study for midterms and write loads of papers. hope everyone is looking forward to the cruise as much as me. i cant wait!! =)

Hope they went well for you.:)

When in December??? I'm planning on arriving late on Friday the 7th and flying back late on Sunday the 9th. Unless I can convince my boss that it's ok for me to be out the 10th and 11th, too. He doesn't really like our dept (Development) to take vacation during December. I can't understand why!?!?

We're there on the 6th and 7th just before we get on the Magic for the cruise on the 8th. When we return the next Saturday we're staying another 8 days.

We'll have to do a minimeet somewhere at WDW! Cool!

Silly Development Department rules!

You're probably right and we will take what we can (just like good pirates do). DW just wants to stay there with her little brother's family)

Have fun at DL tomorrow - give Mickey a kiss from me!

With all the talk of games (have no idea what Bunco is) - does anyone play backgammon?

Game Overview
There are six rounds in each set of Bunco. The High Table controls the pace of play by starting each round and ending each round with a ring of the bell. The scorekeeper at each table is the first to roll.

Players earn points by rolling the three dice. In each round, players are trying to roll the same number as the round, or the target number (for example, rolling in Round 3) - sometimes called a mark.

One point is awarded for each target number rolled successfully. For example rolling in round 1 earns 2 points, in round 2, the same roll earns one point. In rounds 3-6 this roll earns no points.

Five points are awarded for rolling three of a kind of any number except the current target number. For example rolling in round 3 earns 5 points.

BUNCO! is called when rolling 3 of a kind of the target number. For example, rolling in Round 3. Rolling BUNCO is worth 21 points, but the player has to yell it out to get credit for it.

The player rolls as long as they score one or more points. When they fail to roll the target number on any of the dice, the dice are passed to the player on the left and the scorekeeper records the cumulative score on the Table Tally as the temporary team score.

The round is over when the HIGH table reaches 21 points, they ring the bell and the round is over for everyone. The other tables keep rolling until the high table rings the bell. They may score more than 21 points, sometimes over 100 points.

When the round ends, and players at the lower tables get to finish their roll.

Every player gets at least one roll per round.

At the end of each round the winning team from the Middle and Low tables move up to a higher table. The losing team from the High table moves to the low table. During the switch partners are changed.

I am sorry to be so stupid about this but I can't remember who was asking about camera lens? Mark said to PM him (Disneypilots) with the information so he can look it over.

Hi Mark. Hope you had a productive trip.

I wonder if you were next door to my former in-laws? :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

There has got to be a Jeff Foxworthy redneck joke for this.

Don't go forgetting the fact that they paid good money for that verandah and can do what they want on it. :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Good Evening everyone. I hope things are going well. be right back, going to do a little ketchup.
