They were very proud of the fact I used the extinguisher, called the fire department and got their 2 kids out safely. I am still great friends with them and they are who I eventually bought my stores from.

HAPPY ST. PATRICKS DAY

We are sitting here in NY with almost 6 " of snow this morning - and on Wednesday everyone was in shorts, driving with the windows and sunroof open, as it was close (if not) to 80 degrees. Good nite folks - and have a safe and pleasant weekend
if I don't chat/post with you "live" on the DIS this weekend!

1. Meeting and getting to know our shipmates!
2. The only topic we need is to know that this is a free forum to seek out the common ground that we all have .... no matter who we are, where we come from and what we do.
3. One sister (who I haven't seen or heard from in over 10 years :sad2: )
4. Photography and Disney
5. Being so relaxed .... so on vacation! :cloud9:
6. I am addicted to it because of the relationships I have formed (sounds trite but it's not) :grouphug:
7. I oversaw (managed is not a good word ... kept clean is a good word) a coin operated laundromat. I was paid $25 cash (under the table) each week. It was 7 days a week and I locked up every night! :headache:

It's not that any of us don't want to notice (we really do) it's the fact that there so many of us! :scared1: We need a scorecard to keep track of who's in and who's out!

It's like having 15 children in your family and you take them to the grocery store. You hope that you don't forget one in the ice cream section! :scared:

We do care; it's just hard to keep up with us all!:scared1:

That's very well said brack and really the truth too!!!

BTW you're a heck of a nice guy...........and your DISdog too!

How true.:) :)

We are going to a birthday party for my DNephew today. He is 2! Should be a hoot. I'll check in with you later.

I will share an email I rec'd. i don't know if it is a current story or not.

If you read the front page story of the San Francisco Chronicle,
you would have read about a female humpback whale
who had become entangled in a spider web of crab traps
and lines.

She was weighted down by hundreds of pounds of traps that caused
her to struggle to stay afloat. She also had hundreds of yards of
line wrapped around her body, her tail, her torso, a line
tugging in her mouth.

A fisherman spotted her just east of the Farralone Islands
(outside the Golden Gate) and radioed an environmental group for help.

Within a few hours, the rescue team arrived and determined that she was
so badly off that the only way to save her was to dive in and untangle her
...

a very dangerous proposition.

One slap of the tail could kill a rescuer.

They worked for hours with curved knives and eventually freed her.

When she was free, the divers say she swam in what seemed like joyous
circles.
She then came back to each and every diver, one at a time, and nudged them,
pushed gently around-she thanked them. Some said it was the most incredibly
beautiful experience of their lives.

The guy who cut the rope out of her mouth says her eye was
following him the whole time, and he will never be the same.

May you, and all those you love,
be so blessed and fortunate ...
to be surrounded by people
who will help you get untangled
from the things that are binding you.

And, may you always know the joy
of giving, and receiving gratitude.

I pass this on to you, my friend, in the same spirit.

DD is going to be an illustrator when she grows up so she is practicing now. She goes thru an art tablet so quickly that this is a much cheaper way to provide her with paper. :cutie: It will be stacked up out in the garage somewhere along with the box of paper I had delievered from Staples a while back for $20.

I tried to order the paper but it isn't available in our area. and the subsitution they offer say this, 'Also, alternates are not intended for coupon offer substitution" Bummer.:confused3

BTW you're a heck of a nice guy...........and your DISdog too!

Thanks but wait until you meet my DW .... she is the real nice one!

I do have to say though that JoJo is the really nice one. It's a shame that most of you will not get to meet him. Although he has been known to show up at a DISBoard mini-meet!
