Love the pirate jammies. They're perfect for the cruise except they're fleece! Can you say "heat stroke"?

Boy, you have been busy today. Good thing I was able to keep up at work.

I received a postcard from my TA from the Magic. I will post the picture for you. However in answer to one of the questions on the board today, I don't know where he mailed it from so don't know how long it took? Do not see any US postmark on it.:confused3 . He says he will be on the EB as well.

Here is the stamp from the PC.

I bet we have the same TA! I was so excited! Mickey never sends me mail, but Chuck does.

Thank you all for your very kind wishes, thoughts and prayers for my Aunt over the last few days.

We had word a short while ago that my Aunt had finally passed away. A blessing for all. She'd been fairly unresponsive for around 4 days and in the last 24 hours had ceased all communications and gone into a seemingly deep sleep.

My Mum said she is looking forward to laying down in a real bed as she's been sitting and sleeping a plastic chair for the last 4 days without a break so she didn't have to leave my Aunt alone. She'd promised my Aunt to not leave and to be there stay until the very end.

Mum's hoping to return home at the weekend as she'll need a couple of nights good sleep before tackling a 24+ hour flight home.

Again thank you all!

I'm so sorry of your loss Paula.

:welcome: aboard to all the newbies

Happy Birthday and Anniverary to all we have missed

Have a great Wednesday

OK, I give. Who's Ducky Williams??
I'll just wander over to the shunned part of the ship now....

Don "Ducky" Williams is a Disney artist who draws and paints virtually every Disney image you see at the parks and on the cruise line (key to the world cards, menus, ads, etc., etc.). He is on many special cruises and was on our August med repo last year. He gives a great presentation about how he got to work for Disney (persistence doesn't begin to describe it! very inspiring) while drawing characters, and then there is a raffle for the drawings he has done. Each cabin also gets a limited edition lithograph keyed to the specific cruise. He's wonderful and will be a tremendous asset to this cruise.

Thank you all for your very kind wishes, thoughts and prayers for my Aunt over the last few days.

Sorry to hear this, Paula . . . love to you and all your family, especially your mum.

Hi, all -

The number of new participants in the FE list has slowed down dramatically, and while I will periodically post the announcement and list again, I think everyone can safely assume the final number will be 100 or less. We stand at 87 cabins now, and even if we get a few latecomers, I don't see the list getting much higher. Please remember to PM me when cabin assignments start coming in, and I will plan on posting the "final" list here by the end of July, and also for M to put in the navigator.

If any of my committee knows how to put together a deck by deck plan with the cabins involved highlighted in some way (to make FE gift delivery easier) let me know and we can plan to have something like that once all the cabin numbers come in as well.

Fish extender list signup

Attention all pirates!
If you plan to have a fish extender, please PM me with your room number or GTY category
I will periodically post the list and will revise as cabin assignments come in

As a reminder: this is not a competition, and no one will judge the quality/quantity of your gifts, if you choose to give them out . . . it is about having fun and getting surprises in your fish extender. All you are promising when you sign up is that you will have something with pockets hanging on the metal fish outside your cabin door and would accept/appreciate goodies being left for you. I will also post on the pirate zone planning boards, but would prefer getting PMs here with the information.

A final list, organized by floor, will be available by a week or so before the cruise. Any last minute cabin reassignments/upgrades can be listed on my cabin door (6050) during the cruise.

This makes a TOAL even more enjoyable!

Go the the main chat board on the Disboard and go into Creative DISigns. It is almost at the bottom of the page. The thread is just above Technical Support. I chose one of the designers and asked her to make the image. I downloaded the images the designers made. All the directions are in the"post it" at the top of the page. Transfer paper comes in black or white. I purchased mine over internet. I also read it can be bought at Walmart. If I can learn from just reading the post...anyone can do it. As everyone knows...I have very little knowlege of the computer. If I can do it......anyone can!!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Joannes also sells it.They usually have coupons in the paper as well. The instructions aare on the package.

I'm so sorry of your loss Paula.

Yes we do. DH was so excited he called me at work. Wonder if he is having a get together as well???

Paula,:grouphug: So sorry for your familys loss.

Happy Tuesday! Hope everyone had a great weekend. We are back from our wild weekend up north! Had a great time.

I found my FE goodies! A place we went into had them and they were 4 for a $1! I got 100 and I think the cashier thought I was crazy! Just need to make them look pretty! I was so excited!:yay:

I see ya'll were real chatty over the weekend, so time to attempt to ketchup.

Roger, love your pics!

Congrats on your FE find. Am having major issues on this because of the volume (100) and carrying whatever transatlantic! Was going to go for good old British choccies, but fear I'll look like a Cadbury importer if I do FE, SM & our usual gifts for cast members! Not to mention the size & weight of the box for all of that! Back to the drawing board, although have a few ideas that need scoping. On the plus side, I've finally finnished my FE:banana:

We will want to attend his presentation for sure! My ds12 is an artist, and animation is his passion.

Truely, I have never seen a kid so addicted to drawing before. I tell him how lucky he is to have found something he is so passionate about, as many people live their entire life without ever finding that.

The cheesecake hershey kisses are my favorite now too, Cheryl:thumbsup2
Both you and the cashier at the supermarket were very big fans:lmao:

Hope whomever get y'all on the SM remembers this. :goodvibes

I like that-"the Doubletree Gang":dance3:
Any info you get would be great:thumbsup2

Seems like we shoukld have Don Knotts and Tim Conway with us.

At the patent office it's called "hoteling" cause you are required to reserve a room once a week and come into the office for some face time ( 1 hour).
Hoping I get to hotel this summer:cloud9:

Do you get paid for the hotel room?

Darren's cousin bought one and was raving about how great it was. I have a hard time finding hats that fit too Coral:confused3

Thank you. I have only heard good things so I think I will suck it up and pay the $72.00.

I want to be there early too:worried:
Darren was asking me about renting a car like we did at MCO. Is there a place to return car rentals near the port ?

I do not believe so as I have read the "car" options carefully. There was some talk about renting a car at Enterprise but it sounded kinda involved

OK,

I just found out Alicia pulled a switch-er-ooo on me. She did NOT get thast polka dot pattern dres which was soooo perfect. It turns out it was NOT on sale - so she put it back while she waits patiently for it to go on sale. And she substituted a black dress instead. The total value at original retail was something like $275 and she paid $38 + tax for about $40-41. Here are a couple images of her modeling the two dresses purchased:

Very pretty!

OK, I give. Who's Ducky Williams??
I'll just wander over to the shunned part of the ship now....

I did not either. Just that he was a Disney artist.

For my birthday (yesterday) DH got me the topographical maps for Yellowstone and Olympic. And, this cool gizmo called SPOT. It's basically a GSP tracking gadget, you push a button and it'll tell people where you are. Comes with a handy 911 feature too - in case of emergencies. He wants to know where the boys and I are during our 5-week trek. Isn't that sweet? :goodvibes (Hey! who moved the smilies around - and where's the pirate?)

Happy (late) Birthday Esteri!!!!

Have you tried Campmor.com? We get a lot of our gear there.

I saw them online whe I was looking and they were one of the better prices. :thumbsup2

Paula, sorry for your loss. Your family will be in our prayers.

Good Morning all!
Thanks to everyone who has voted for the wristband saying. If you haven't voted yet here is the place Vote Here.
I forgot to mention that there will be a small skull & crossbones on the bracelet as well as the saying.

Has anyone hear of or own a "Tilley" hat?
I saw one yesterday at REI and really liked it- until I saw that it was $72.00! :faint: I have an abnormally large head (has to be big to hold all them there brains :lmao: ) and womens hats are rarely sized and the "One size fits all" does not fit me. This brand comes in many sizes and also has a 50 SPF rating. Before I drop that amount for a hat I want to know if others like it. I jsut bought a hat for $40 that I am not that crazy about so $72.00 is not that much more.

My mom has one and loves it. I recall her saying how it washes well. She has been around the world and doesn't travel without it.

I don't know about the sizing - my dad has the big head in our family. He wears a "Panamax" hat!

That is going to be my issue to the volume. I'm hoping that if I pack them right it should be OK. Congratulations on finishing your FE, I haven't started mine yet!

Ducky also did a presentation at the kid clubs . . . also you guys should keep an eye out for him on deck 4 between the two dinner seatings . . . we often found him sitting out there with a pad of paper and he would draw any character you asked for, personalized, while pleasantly chatting! All three of my girls got personal drawings that way. I'm sure your son would love to interact with him about their shared love of art.
