Hi, we had book the Sunset Sail but changed to the Rhythms of the Night Shore Excursion instead. It is great to know others from the cruise will be on the excursion. I agree that that it is going to be a TOAL. Georgiana
:confused3

Did you sign up for any of the tastings with us Disers yet???

Generally speaking, yes, when you sign up for FE you plan to put a little something -- can be very little! -- in each FE at least once . . . however, because a few people were worried about how many would participate and made noises about breaking up the list (which, to me, is sort of not in the spirit of the FE) I said that you only agreed to have an FE up. However, the basic idea, of course, is that you leave something at some point, and in return, find lots of fun surprises throughout the cruise! A few, however, may just give to their floor or something but we are not the FE police and will not be keeping track!

Maybe a little less . . . the PMs are slowing down quite a bit and I plan to make the list (if not the cabin numbers!!!!) more or less "final" by the beginning of June so that everyone knows how many to plan for . . .

Yes a cut off date is a great idea in June!!:thumbsup2

Cool...A plan... Give me a call or pm and we'll plan further...

Yes, in my looking around... I've noticed some really nice in-expensive pirate candy items. (or provide something non-theme)

I like candy....I like presents!!!;)

We're just planning on one delivery.

Me too!!!:worship:

Well, on the 11 night Med cruise I was on last year, which was incredibly well organized and everyone was a joy to be around, it was an ongoing thing, and as people got their cabin numbers it was updated (similar to what I am doing with the FE list) . . .

Well, every cruise I have ever been on, there has been a listing like that, but I HATE drama too, so whatever we do, let's keep the peace!

No Drama Please!!!:headache:

I have basic info for the mailing list, do we want to post a roster?

Basic info would be
DIS name, first names/ages, celebrations on cruise, room # or GTY and dining

Would look like this:

tom31b -- Tom*, Ellen, Chris 11, Mitch 9 -- Probably just that my wife is not killing me for getting involved in this group! -- 7503 -- Early

Or, as that really isn't celebration:

tom31b -- Tom*, Ellen, Chris 11, Mitch 9 -- -- 7503 -- Early

I like the DW is ready to kill you listing and I bet it is true!!!;)

Party In My Room !!

After much hand wringing, teeth gnashing and a flurry of emails, I found out yesterday that my TA was able to get us upgraded to a CAT 6 (GTY don't ya know)

We'll be the room with the open door. Come & hang out with us !!

Congrats Lisa

All in favor?

:thumbsup2

Aye:thumbsup2

Tom, fise you, I'd definitely ask first. This is how the trouble started last year. I used a list I'd been sent that people had sent for the specific purpose of being on a roster and then some people had either changed their minds, or not understood what it was being used for, or whatever and were upset when the roster was posted. I would not assume that just because they provided their names to you for either the pirate zone or the newsletter that they want their names printed in a roll call. But that's just me.. once bitten, twice shy.

Those were the nightmares we do not want back.:sad2: :sad2:

FYI - Autograph session with Joey and Alfonso -

Hey M - or whomever wrote this: Joey said he does NOT live on the ship but that somehow the ship keeps pulling him back here.

Carlton was a bit :snooty: but that's ok - he was still funny - probably felt less comfortable than Joey.

Merryl and Hal - will tell DJ Mike tonight!

Whomever asked about Cecelia in Palo's will ask tonight.

Here's a shot:

I love the picture.:flower3:

I have been looking at dresses and I am not a dressy kinda girl. IF I could only loose some 20 pounds.

Only 20!!!:rolleyes1 I would like a few more than that!!

He was posting from home which means Cherie was behind him, hitting him on the head saying "Let someone else get one...." :lmao:

I can see her doing it now!!:rolleyes1

I was not really trying, well I was busy doing other stuff. But as long as Tom is not within 2 of me I am not going to try to get one and besides my DW is yelling at me "Enough with the pirate: s" :rolleyes1

Cherie.....Roger tells us lots about you!!;) Now you will be reading the thread more.:lmao: :lmao:

Garage Sale!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am doing one again tomorrow. We have to get a permit and I am only allowed 2 garage sales a year!!  The goodnews is I made $268 dollars today!!:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

CABO.png

With the Magic having two days to get to La from Cabo, - We have just one day down, looks like it was saving fuel and didnt leave Cabo area until 6am after its visit there.

Now well on its way up the coast.

I just checked our return flights on Sep 3 on Southwest. Our tickets went down from $105 to $64! So now we have a $205 credit to use toward our flights in January!

If you're booked on SW, you may want to double check to see if your fares went down.
that's great!
unfortunatley we couldn't fly SW from here to Ca. :( We never can seem to get SW flights from Love field to anywhere we want to go- ever. :(

I Promise, you're accepted:grouphug:
awww, you're so sweet!

Our youngest will be 7 on July 1st.....
uh, did you make that cake yourself? If so, you are awesomely gifted!

Hey... I wonder if you might be interested (or rather your 7yr old dd) in coming to Rita's party? We're thinking of doing it on the 21st of June. Her birthday is the 16th but that weekend is father's day and just might not be a good idea for a party. This year she wants to do a pool party but I think the kids her age- most of them can't swim. SO this year we're doing a cinderella (princess) & Ariel 2-parties in one type thing. First the party inside, then the pool party so that people who have kids who can't swim can still come to the party and then just leave before the pool party starts. Whatcha think? interested? ;)
Her princess party last year was a HIT- well, it was a hit with the few girls that showed up mostly from girl scouts troop. Poor kid with the summer birthday doesn't get many classmates showing up- yanno? But they had a blast- all dressed up in princess outfits (have extra play outfits for those that didn't come dressed up) and we did princess crafts and had a "princess tea" with snacks, cake, smoothies made in my mickey smoothy maker ofcourse :lmao: , ice cream and then some princess games and pictures with the castle backdrop/etc. the pool party this time should be fun too- for those that want to participate. but your husband might have a heart attack because we have a pool AND a trampoline. :scared1:

Oh honey, I need to lose some 70lbs!
uh, you and me both. sadly....

now my theory on that is NOT that we have weight to lose; it's that we need to get taller!:confused3
that's for sure, for sure.
I definitely need to get taller. :rotfl:

I wonder why so far I've not seen any cat 6 become available? We're all holding on them tight huh LOL Just curious- because I keep waiting to see if a cat 6 becomes available so I can compare what we paid to what it costs now.

Presently 70 going to 89 here in Central Florida with rain....:cool1: :dance3: :yay: :cool1: :cheer2:

Happy Birthday and Anniversary to all we have missed.

:grouphug:  pixiedust: and prayers to everyone who is going to need it today

:welcome: aboard to all the newbies

Have a great Saturday

OH yeah GM to everyone.
Sorry missed chat (again) I actually fell asleep on the couch before 10pm (can't really say what time it was but I know it was before 10pm LOL) -had a tiring day yesterday- outside all day for the younger two kids playday at school! No sleep + outside all day in the sun + a billion hyper kids all around you all day long = fall asleep on couch the minute you lay down for just a second to watch tv.

:confused3 :rotfl:

Hope everyone has a great weekend!
We don't have anything planned- we didnt know if Jeff would be working or not- but he wasn't asked to work. Supposed to be getting hotter this weekend, so I'm sure we'll be spending lots of time in the pool.
I gotta beef up on some sunscreen if I can find it on sale or something. I know how much we went thru last year! :scared1: And not much left at this point. Yes definitely gotta get more sunscreen.

Does everyone have plans to like "do stuff" for the holiday weekend? anyone else being a homebody like us? LOL We could probably try to make a spur of the moment camping trip in the travel trailer BUT with trying to save for the cruise + high gas prices..no thanks.. homebodies we'll be. LOL

They are getting very high, havent seen any Cat 6.

Good Morning, I am Reenie and Kap sister, Elaine. Not traveling on this cruise, but wish I was. Just not able to get all that time off at once. :sad1: But I will be with you in spirit and hopefully on the boards if anyone posts while at sea. You all sound like a great group and it will be a long 15 nights for me, not dancing at Rockin Bar D. I'll just have to dance and have my lemon drop martinis at home:banana:

Cherie's a good, good woman!

Hi everyone. I'm off for the summer from college and I'm very excited that the cruise is almost upon us. I still need to buy a costume for Pirates Night which should be fun. This will be my first Disney Cruise as an adult. Are there any other 20 year olds attending? If so, let me know.

 Talk to everyone soon!

Hi Matt! Must be quite a relief to have this year over with. See you on the cruise!

Mike,
Glad you caught it:lmao:
Reminds me when Kelly and I were shopping for Valentine's day cards. I picked out a singing one for Darren that played Sonny and Cher's "I got you Babe". Well Kelly thought the card was suppose to be for her teacher and filled it out and signed it and added it to her stack to bring to school:scared1:
Luckily I figured out where the card went that morning:rolleyes1
Had to explain to Darren why his card wasn't addressed to him and find another card for Kelly's teacher.

Laurie, I just keep thinking of the teacher's puzzled confusion if she had gotten the card!!!:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

HAHA.. I'm not a loser. I'm a Yankee fan!:cool2:

Aren't they in last place:confused3

Yep, just checked-they are.

OK, settle down, you two! I'm a Yankees fan, too, Matt, but not an obsessive one. You are right that they can come back, though, they have before.

I was not really trying, well I was busy doing other stuff. But as long as Tom is not within 2 of me I am not going to try to get one and besides my DW is yelling at me "Enough with the pirate: s" :rolleyes1

Fish extender list signup

Attention all pirates!
If you plan to have a fish extender, please PM me with your room number or GTY category
I will periodically post the list and will revise as cabin assignments come in

As a reminder: this is not a competition, and no one will judge the quality/quantity of your gifts, if you choose to give them out . . . it is about having fun and getting surprises in your fish extender. All you are promising when you sign up is that you will have something with pockets hanging on the metal fish outside your cabin door and would accept/appreciate goodies being left for you. I will also post on the pirate zone planning boards, but would prefer getting PMs here with the information.

A final list, organized by floor, will be available by a week or so before the cruise. Any last minute cabin reassignments/upgrades can be listed on my cabin door (6050) during the cruise.

This makes a TOAL even more enjoyable!

It's interesting that you brought that up because I was just thinking yesterday that it would not take them two days at sea to travel from Cabo to San Pedro!

Sorry you can't be there, Elaine!

I think the port slot at LA San Perdo for Saturdays was taken when they booked it and so had to swap to Sunday departures. They get a port less than us we get Cartagena so basically they are on a go slow up the last bit.

On our Med cruise last year we had an 11 night but they also had 10 nights and we had an extra sea day out of Rome. We just stopped in the sea at about 12 noon and didnt move again to late evening, before going into La Spetzia, harbour.

I think they will be in 'very early' on Sunday morning.

I was there, Andrew -- did you think I forgot about that day at sea?:lmao: :lmao:

Yes, I had thought of the difference with Cartegena, but somehow hadn't thought about how slowly they would need to go to stretch out the time between Cabo and San Pedro. I wonder if it is less money to pay the per hour cost at the port vs. gas prices going slowly out at sea? Interesting issue.

I know you were there thats why I used 'our' Med cruise, how could I forget?

I think thats the judgment call for DCL, Port fees against fuel, but of course, is someone else using their pier at the port. I bet in todays times someone is in charge of fuel management on the Magic.

They book and pay for a set time, and the port turns that around fast, in Fact, back in the past on a princess ship, we pulled into the pier, in San Pedro, the one next to where the Magic docks.

As we went in and stopped, another cruise ship, in the Magic pier, pulled out for Alaska, no soon as it had gone, whilst we were waiting to disembark, another freighter ship pulled in to unload.

PS Princess are not very good at disembarkation, its by room number /deck only?

Hi Gang,

Just a reminder that I still have lots of maps - so if anyone wants any just send a PM w/your name & address and I'll send them to you.

I have been so busy with real life that I forgot to let you know I got the ones you sent me!!!! Thank you so very very much!!!!!!!!!!

PS, my husband and DD14 were wondering who my 3rd grandma was when they saw the return address area. They were stumped!

"How could I forget 'our' Med cruise" . . . now "The way we were" is playing sappily in my head;)

RCCL was terrible at disembarkation last year when I took my youngest on Explorer of the Seas . . . took literally hours and everyone had to wait in the theater watching CNN waiting for their tag color to be called! I had a car service reserved and was afraid it wouldn't be there when we got off because we were so delayed. I really appreciate how smoothly DCL makes the process.
