:lmao: Since I'm the one that teaches math to the kids...we carry here. :rotfl2:

You must not be using Saxon, or you'd be trying to remember to use the term, "regrouping" like the rest of us. :teacher:

I just read the word "Saxon" in the context of a math discussion & got a cold chill down my back.

That was our Algebra series in high school. Yuck.

Yes Shella, it was! :goodvibes

Kylie had some friends here for a sleepover, and I wanted to stay up until I heard them go to sleep.

I actually assumed that when you didn't post again! I was on the opposite side; one of my was sleeping over elsewhere so I could stay up a lot longer:cool1:

Sounds like there will be a lot of celebrations on the Magic. DH and I will be celebrating our 8th Anniversary (10 years together) with dinner at Palo on Panama Canal night. Our actual anniversary is August 5th, but we (ok, I) want to wait until we are on the ship to celebrate.

I think I would have to be a foot taller to make the weight to height thing work.:rotfl2: Think I could lose 70 lbs by August 17th?:confused3

Palo through the canal sounds like a great way to celebrate.

DS9's birthday is the last sea day.

Our 14th anniversary and my birthday are about a month after TOAL. Yikes, I just thought - December will be 19 years together for us. We met 22 years ago this Halloween. Good golly we're getting old.

I think the port slot at LA San Perdo for Saturdays was taken when they booked it and so had to swap to Sunday departures. They get a port less than us we get Cartagena so basically they are on a go slow up the last bit.

On our Med cruise last year we had an 11 night but they also had 10 nights and we had an extra sea day out of Rome. We just stopped in the sea at about 12 noon and didnt move again to late evening, before going into La Spetzia, harbour.

I think they will be in 'very early' on Sunday morning.

Actually Andrew San Pedro is empty on Saturdays according to the Calendar. It takes at least a day and a half to get from Cabo to LA since they are going against the current. We will be going with the current on the way down and can make it to Cabo in a day without a problem.

I read on the Door Magnet thread that she said anyone could use it. :cool1:

It is on this link

"How could I forget 'our' Med cruise" . . . now "The way we were" is playing snappily in my head;)

RCCL was terrible at disembarkation last year when I took my youngest on Explorer of the Seas . . . took literally hours and everyone had to wait in the theater watching CNN waiting for their tag color to be called! I had a car service reserved and was afraid it wouldn't be there when we got off because we were so delayed. I really appreciate how smoothly DCL makes the process.
Yes DCL are good at this I think Princes in San Perdo was 2.5 hours, I was last due to night flight and a lower Cat room.

Yes Wedding anniversary on the 30th, have Palo brunch that day, I am eligible for parole then, and DS is 10 just 2 days after the cruise so we will see what we can do for him.

Interesting its empty, I would have thought first choice for the Magic would be Saturdays like 2005, and the only reason they were doing Sundays was they were bumped by another cruise-line that operates every year.

It doesnt make too much sense if people have to travel a long way and have to fly home that night, a short hour or two isn't an issue, but further is.

Didn't know about the current that explains it a bit more, again putting 2&2 together, I thought they delayed it due to the port being occupied.

Very well said - I feel the same - even though I didn't start on this thread as early as everyone it has been great trying to 'ketchup' and getting to know everyone

We will be going with the current on the way down and can make it to Cabo in a day without a problem.

But we won't because day 1 is a sea day. I think they do it because there is no CC stop. I know I'm llooking forward to relaxing on day 1 and I bet other are as well.

But think about it. How many US cruisers (bulk of their market) are getting to LA Friday night or Saturday morning and spending the day at DL. How many people wouldn't do that if the ship was leaving on Saturday? I'm not certain that the same number of people would rush to DL if they got off the ship on Saturday.

By leaving on Sunday, I think the typical, I-only-have-one-week-off cruiser is more likely to spend a day at DL.

Kelly is smart!
:thumbsup2 She's been struggling with Math though. Didn't inherit that gene from her Dad:confused3

Anything to help ;)
Thank you:lmao: Much appreciated:flower3:

OH yeah GM to everyone.
Sorry missed chat (again) I actually fell asleep on the couch before 10pm (can't really say what time it was but I know it was before 10pm LOL) -had a tiring day yesterday- outside all day for the younger two kids playday at school! No sleep + outside all day in the sun + a billion hyper kids all around you all day long = fall asleep on couch the minute you lay down for just a second to watch tv.

:confused3 :rotfl:

Hope everyone has a great weekend!
We don't have anything planned- we didnt know if Jeff would be working or not- but he wasn't asked to work. Supposed to be getting hotter this weekend, so I'm sure we'll be spending lots of time in the pool.
I gotta beef up on some sunscreen if I can find it on sale or something. I know how much we went thru last year! :scared1: And not much left at this point. Yes definitely gotta get more sunscreen.

Does everyone have plans to like "do stuff" for the holiday weekend? anyone else being a homebody like us? LOL We could probably try to make a spur of the moment camping trip in the travel trailer BUT with trying to save for the cruise + high gas prices..no thanks.. homebodies we'll be. LOL
Gonna see the Indianna Jones movie today hopefully. But nothing else planned.

Good Morning, I am Reenie and Kap sister, Elaine. Not traveling on this cruise, but wish I was. Just not able to get all that time off at once. :sad1: But I will be with you in spirit and hopefully on the boards if anyone posts while at sea. You all sound like a great group and it will be a long 15 nights for me, not dancing at Rockin Bar D. I'll just have to dance and have my lemon drop martinis at home:banana:
Hi Elaine:yay:

Kylie had some friends here for a sleepover, and I wanted to stay up until I heard them go to sleep.

Gosh if I stayed up until the boys fell asleep, it would be 3 am:scared:
The girls seem to fall asleep earlier:confused3

It just may be the rest of the summer schedule worked out better, ports and all, starting with Sunday cruises, so its cheaper to circle at sea rather than sit in port for 24 hours.

the arrival date has less to do with when they can get there vs what works for scheduling

It may be the other ports on the Mexican Riviera were not available on certain days so a Sunday cruise made more sense

The Pirates Page on the Website has been updated with a whole bunch more Pirates. We are now over 250 pirate:s featured. We even have another pharmacist, so we should be even better medicated. :lmao: :lmao:

Must be doing something right when you've spent more of your life with your spouse than without. :flower:

I think the comment was it can be done in a day, not the first day, I remember however that first day to be very cold indeed in 2005, out of LA everyone expected it to be nice and it wasn't.
I think it does benefit some yes with a DL pre day, but a lot would lie to come in a few days before for the parks at Disney and others as well.

It just may be the rest of the summer schedule worked out better, ports and all, starting with Sunday cruises, so its cheaper to circle at sea rather than sit in port for 24 hours.

Yes it might just be the running order and build in A little slack as well, in 2005 we missed Cabo due to the tail end of a hurricane and had Manzilino instead, now as we have a booked time for Panama, they would wish to miss that.
I always thought ..as said.. they got bumped out of Saturdays as thats the preferred day for the Magic at Port Canaveral.

Cherie's a good, good woman!

I agree:thumbsup2

Hi Matt! Must be quite a relief to have this year over with. See you on the cruise!

Laurie, I just keep thinking of the teacher's puzzled confusion if she had gotten the card!!!:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Thank God she has a good sense of humor, but yeah it would have been embarrassing:rolleyes:

OK, settle down, you two! I'm a Yankees fan, too, Matt, but not an obsessive one. You are right that they can come back, though, they have before.
Hope I didn't scare him away. Between my Dad and DH I get all this baseball trivia thrown at me.

Again, Cherie is a very good woman!:thumbsup2

It's interesting that you brought that up because I was just thinking yesterday that it would not take them two days at sea to travel from Cabo to San Pedro!

Sorry you can't be there, Elaine!
