Carlton was a bit but that's ok - he was still funny - probably felt less comfortable than Joey.

I just wanted to share with everyone how completely cool, and astonishing, and gratifying this community is. There's no one "in charge",
yet everyone contributes what they can and no one feels compelled to do more than they are able. (At least I hope not.) We are each doing what we do best, and relying on others, with different strengths, to cover the rest.

Step back and look at what we've accomplished... website, topical forums, group clothing, group cruise navigators, activity books for the kids, special little surprises for each other, shared artwork, large and small group dining, loads of information on each port, shared excursions and experiences, more onboard activities than any one person could attend, and the list goes on, and on.

This is a huge undertaking and accomplishement for a group this size, and yet it has come together naturally. Growing and changing depending on the people involved.

We are such a testament to what a group of people can accomplish when they come together in a spirit of mutual understanding, support, tolerance, and yes humor plays a role. Yes, we've had our squabbles, but we've worked through them - gaining understanding and enriching ourselves through the experience.

I am so completely grateful to be a part of this community. And to have this experience with all of you.

Well, I certainly know where Brooklyn is, have been there, but not often, don't know it well, and it's not the same as if it was set up somewhere in Manhattan (it would be easy to set up a time and swing by for a hello). Seriously, not trying to be snobbish -- more trying to be funny . . .

Now I have to hope LaTanya doesn't read this or she will kill me!

Alfonse is Carlton from Fresh Prince of Bel Air and Ricky schroeders friend from Silver Spoons (going way back) and also started in Celebrity Duets and was in a Pepsi commercial with Michael Jackson.

Got to get off for a minute so DH can check his stocks. Be back later after I update my blog.

I agree...let's do the list... by the time we get on the cruise.. it will be fine ( IMHO) and then we will be able to recognize one another besides the lanyard and the wrist band and the T**ts,

maybe some are concerned about it being posted on the internet..

I know earlier Deb Willis of Allears net reported Donny Osmond was going to be on the cruise, then it was corrected, well he is here in the UK with the rest of the Osmonds and on my TV now, doing concerts here.

If I recall - there was an issue about personal info posted on the internet. I think that could be resolved by only posting Dis names & perhaps first names and for kids just DD 9 or DS 12 etc. - basically no more than is posted here. Wouldn't that work for the roster??

OMG! Looks like McDonalds has been remodeled since I was there 2 years ago. It cracks me up that you only noticed a few things. Did you notive every single street sign has aliens on it?
I am not sure what the site at our ranch was called? Jim Ragsdale was the one about 10 miles from us. Basically our contribution to the museum was a lovely letter stating we know nothing, we know nothing (In my best Sgt. Schultz voice).
My Dad just got back a week ago from visiting family in Roswell and he was stating Roswell was even more bulit up than 2 years ago.
I always think it is more than a coincedence that every UFO "sighting" is remarkably close to an a Military base. Hmmmm...

Yeah that McD definately has been remodeled! I would remember that! I think the last time I was there was about 5 yrs ago.

Ya they do all seem to occur near bases... We saw a "UFO" a few months ago but our first thought wasn't of aliens! We thought maybe it was one of the planets till we realized it was moving too much for that. Turns out to be a famed weather balloon

I do think that most people would trust people on the boards with a certain amount of info. But I'm still leery about too much info being posted online where anyone can peruse. I'm OK with the idea of a roster though since that's just real basic info!

good idea.. I did the rooster for a cruise 2 or so years ago and I didn't have last names just first .. plus I never posted it just handed it out when I saw some one at the sail away party or other DIS meets..
