What?
how rude....... :scared1:

Oh
my
G
:scared1:

But since we're on the subject- when did the "on line" thing start (instead of in line- like when people say "they were on line for dinosaur" for instance)?

seriously- when did that start? In my day you were IN line... get in line, were in line, IN, not on. How can you be 'on' line? You're not ON line- you're IN that line. but the last few years or so I've noticed people call it "on line". I don't get it.

Oh I got one for ya... Around here a driver of a truck might say "Let me get down off the truck" instead of "Let me get out of the truck" :lmao:

Or when seeing someone you say "How are you" and the response is "Good, yourself?" instead of "Good and you?"

You know what BIP...

... You and I must be on the same wave-length tonite cuz that's exactly what i wuz thinkin'... that I would prefer a tie dyed shirt.

I had considered doing a tie dyed shirt myself using techniques learned from UTUBE video tutorials. A good friend of mine did this (used utube for guidance) and got great results that carry personal meaning in the finished result!

Here is the utube list of videos: It's simple - just do a search on "tie dye how to" ... http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=how+to+tie+dye&search_type=

WOW!!!! The kids and I did the Mickey head Tie Dye t-shirts a couple of years ago (I got the directions off the Dis)..... We may have to make this a summer project!!!! Learn to do really good Tie Dye!!!!

Hi all,

Just finished playing ketchup. We signed up for the FE's and are now hitting the hay.

you wouldn't happen to know how to find that would you? like link me to it?
I would like love you forever-oh wait- I'll let you come swim in my pool! (just noticed who you were LOL)

wait a minute! you can just come over sometime and HELP me do them! yeah I like that idea. don't you? LOL

Just a question...those that are signing up are doing FE gifts..correct? My Mom and sister have their own cabin but did not wish to participate in the FE but are participating in the SM. Do they need to put something on their fish? I did not turn in their cabin number as I don't want people to feel they need to leave FE gifts when they are not doing so.

Thanks!

Nope...

.... it does not carry ANY expectation or requirement of you to bring and disribute fish extender gifts IF you have a fish extender to hang out. The first time we did this we had NO IDEA of what to expect.

We signed up for our last DCL voyag inside of the pay in full deadline - and we ordered our fish extender in that limited time frame. SO there was precious little time to dream up how to fully join the fun. We did attempt to participate as contributors though in having what we felt were nicer than normal gifts for all of the children in our DIS group - which resulted in some 80 kids total.

SO, if I had only kids gifts - and nothing for adults or every cabin (I vaguely recall there were about 115 on our last voyage).... then certainly on every voyage there are participants who will bring nothing and simply enjoy the fun.

As such, I would encourage each of your family's cabins to particiapte. Believe me - just receiving is perfectly fine. IF you want to bring stuff to distribute then it can require large numbers of your gift/item... and it can consume huge time to walk the entire ship distributing them! It took me some 2.5 evenings to do it all... as I pushed a stroller so I wouldn't have to carry my suff around - and I did it strictly late nite in the company of a DIS neighbor ... LetsGoSteelers.

So you don't want to undertake bringing stuff to distribute litely. I am not sure yet - but I am thinking of bringing something for every cabin too. the only thing that makes me hesitate is the idea of spendign another 2-3 hours walking every deck to distribute these. Trust me - in a prior life I was NO Mailman!

I have always used our first names on the magnets and online - I avoid using our last name, but I realize that if someone really wanted to track us down, they probably could. I don't put our hometown on the magnets or by my avatar, but I do occasionally mention it, so someone could find it if they wanted... I've been online and meeting folks for a very long time (originally involved with Compuserve's forums and used to do an annual WDW meet with that group back in the 90's) and the vast majority of people we have met have been really nice. Luckily, we haven't encountered any real creaps - although there are probably as many out there as in the "real world"

I used to love Compuserve, Prodigy & AppleWorld (?) or was it MacWorld??

I can't believe that we used to pay by the minute for internet access!!! :scared1: DH & I had separate AOL accts so, that we had more of the cheaper minutes! ;)

We've only been online for 15 yrs......

I always did tye dye at Girl Scout camp a bunch of times. I think almost every single time the dye washed out during the first wash after I got home! :confused3

HE told people that he heard Dh say that........
And most of the *horrible* stuff he posted was on a different TR (someone elses) and on our Cruise Meets Thread. But, the reason that a couple of the people were fighting with him on his TR was because of what he posted on other threads. And I am the person that he is talking about when he says things like *she had this is in her sig line...* *she* this and *she* that. He is talking about me and the people *arguing* with him know that he is talking about me and my family.

To be honest if you could read all of his posts after that cruise (the ones on the meets thread and all the ones he posted on other people's TR's) you would think he spent way too much of his vacation spying on me and my family!

Let us just say the person who got booted wanted all the attention because he had the Roy suite and you had the WALT Suite!!!

I do not think I posted a message stating that we are definitely going. I got off of work. So now we have to work out all of the details. So much to do, and so little time.

I hope all of you are doing well.

:dance3: :dance3: :dance3: Wecome and glad you joined us!!

We just got back from the new Indiana Jones movie. Gotta say- keep your expectations very low. I was not impressed. It is not like the other IJ movies. You would think graphics and movie techniques would have improved greatly but you would not know it by that movie. The only good part was when they opened the crate and it said Roswell, New Mexico on it. My home town.
I was not TERRIBLE, but disappointing.

I guess that is why Hollywood makes all kind of monvies.:goodvibes Everyone has different tastes in what they like.:flower3: I actually heard applause when the movie ended in several of the screens I checked today!!:confused3 I guess the movie exceeded my expectations!!! I was expecting something horrible and it turned out to be very entertaining!!! I still like you.

OOOooohh Cool! Thanks for posting!

So I have a question. Does anyone worry about posting too much personal info online like some people do? Like real full names and real cities that you live in?

What about for the magnets? It just seems like a bad idea to have all the first/last names on the door for everyone to see...

Has anyone ever had a problem with doing either of these? Maybe I worry too much!:confused3

It never bothered me and I have been on two cruises.

Gee...

I see just under 80 cabins listed here (including my little sub-group of 8 cabins) ... and I KNOW we gotta have more DIS friends and neighbors on this voyage! You see... Downrivermama, MrsScooby, pdarrah, radioclash2, tiggrbaby and I have gone to great lengths < collective groaning may commence > to purchase 200 custom semi-hand made magnetic dry erase memo pads... so I'd like to ask EVERY lurking friend on our voyage to sign up - maybe hang a home made paper bag off their "fish" or whatever so we can shower you with surprise "treats"... and maybe a custom made magnetic dry erase memo pad ... that can double as a fridge magnet dry erase memo pad if no one steals it (or your pen) off the door!

< Collective groaning may now subside - now all at once ... everyone "Wink" and grin please >

Seriously, we were hoping to have a "gift" of a Magnetic memo pad for EVERY DIS neighbor who informs us of their cabin number. SO, no fish extender is needed! Since what we have to give requires NO fish extender. Plus, our DIS gift serves a practical purpose of providing a convenient spot for messages and taunts to be left for you from friends, neighbors and rascally Semi-Innocent folks.

I wasn't sure if you were still doing that but I would love it!!!:woohoo: We could all post on each others boards!!!:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Aw crash- I'll help you. I'm a night owl anyway and plan on being out there putting stuff in FE"s anyway! hehe

I think that's the last (and only?) time I ever tie-dyed too... when I was in GE camp MANY MANY MANY MANY (many many) moons ago. such a long long time ago. LOL

OK so on the subject of FEs... How many nights do you guys plan on handing something out? Every other day? We haven't decided to do it yet, though I think it would be fun. I'm just not sure about delivering everything to EVERYONE every day and how much stuff I'd have to bring. Also I have no clue what to even give out... And how much money do you guys spend on all the gifts?

That sounds like a great idea!!! :yay: I told 17dd that you know where Rick's is! LOL! She said *Let's meet them there!* :rotfl: :rotfl:

This is the board where I found the info --

Haha I was there in high school and then was a counselor when I was 20... only 10 yrs ago LOL

I am only going to deliver about twice during this cruise to each stateroom. Last time I did it about 4 times but, there are way more people this time around! LOL!

I don't think everyone on the list could possibly imagine giving stuff out to EVERYONE on the list- especially more than once. We're involved in the kids secret mickey and already with just 3 kids doing this (and this is every night, far as I know) we have so much stuff to take!
I do have a few things to put in the FE's and some special stuff too- but not one for everyone multiple times throughout the cruise. :( can you imagine how much stuff that would be to bring? especially if you have to bring it thru the airport and all this extra bags fees and stuff. :(
Might be able to buy some stuff cheap at some of the ports though. LOL
