Well BIP,

... don't be so quick to complement us with "YOU ROCK" until ya see a) whether you get a "rock" in your fish extender from us.... and b) whether we skip deliverin' a custom semi-hand made magnet memo pad with deluxe dry erase pen to your cabin. I thought our task force took a vote and excluded a few rascals like .... you. < silent shifty grinnin' >

OK... we actually have NOT taken a full vote yet... butI vaguely recall your screen ID being singled out for one reason or another... ???

What?
how rude....... :scared1:

You should hear our school Principal make morning announcements!
" Boys and girls,we will not have recess on tomorrow'!
Or "I pledge allegience,to the flag,of the United States of America. And to the Republic, for which it stands, one nation, under God, Invisible, with liberty and justice for all"

Oh
my
G
:scared1:

But since we're on the subject- when did the "on line" thing start (instead of in line- like when people say "they were on line for dinosaur" for instance)?

seriously- when did that start? In my day you were IN line... get in line, were in line, IN, not on. How can you be 'on' line? You're not ON line- you're IN that line. but the last few years or so I've noticed people call it "on line". I don't get it.

Just a reminder about the Group Tastings....if you want to participate, please email Laurie. We currently have 30-40 people for each tasting.
I will be posting a list later tonight to help you remember whether or not you've signed up.

taken from the pirate zone
If you are interested in signing up, please send an email to Laurie (MrsScooby) at mrsscoobie@yahoo.com -- take note, Scoobie is spelled differently in the email address. Please provide your Name, DISBoard Name, Tasting preference (or choose LUSH for all tastings
drink.gif
), and how many people for each tasting.

As we get more details we'll let you all know. We are hoping to have the schedule prior to boarding

30-40 PER TASTING?!?!?!? I'm lucky if I'll remember my own name afterwards, let alone another 29-39!

Seriously, this really fantastic...proves we really are a bunch of scurvy pirates!

Are other people really wearing white shirts on embarkation day? someone posted that the other day.. just curious if others are really doing this?
I ask because I'd REALLY prefer not to sweat to death in a black shirt- but also it would surely help us financially if I didn't have to buy TWO shirts for each of us.... we could just buy white and wear it on embarkation day and panama canal day?
LMK!

Most likely, haven't quite decided yet. :confused3

* speakin-oh mind.. "who were the 2 in the pod?"

sweet, mismce? [ you wouldn't have by chance an old skillet, with

some dings..in it? ]
oh, pms..or pm's..or ps....my lil'sweetie, "is" all the things...described..
& all the stories..being true....up to a point...where i need deflection.

The two peas in a pod were Septh5 and myself!!!:cool1: We think alike...and we both talk a lot!!!:rolleyes1

Ask John.....he does have a hard head!!!:lmao: He is Italian so his head is even harder!!!:rotfl2:

I won't let DD6 get on her friend's trampoline despite her objections. And with good reason -- I had to pick her up from school this morning because she fell on the sidewalk going into school and has a bump on her head and will have a black eye. She has NO grace whatsoever. So much for her dreams of being a ballerina.

I have the record from my high school:cool1: :cool1: .............I was the only one to fly with the greatest of ease right off the six foot high trampoline!!!:lmao: :lmao: Maybe that is why I have trouble spelling!!;)

The ones we have are here, if you need bigger, we would have to see. These are good resolution, should be able to blow up some

Thanks Tom:thumbsup2 You are just to efficient!!!:yay:

And the lights on my house are Winter decorations, not Christmas. ....

Good thing you don't live in my association as they would hate you along with me......

Of course, my wife loves reading the rules and then dreaming up exceptions too....

"All mailboxes must be black" ... "hmmm this magnetic cover is not a part of mailbox, so hot pink....."

I like your wife!!! She sounds just like me!!:thumbsup2 So one troublemaker is married to another!! :lmao:

My poor DD (taken a few minutes ago)

100_1271.jpg

OMG!!! I hope she is okay!!:flower3:

did anyone read..that old report?..from disney55,over the 10-nighter...
seem liked alot..irritable & conflicting..cruisers, & on the same trip-
..did you expeirenced..any of that micmse?

He was a Nut Case!!!:sad2: :sad2: I think you know I don't dislike many peeps but he was the biggest troublemaker!!:headache: The DIS band him from the boards which was a very smart move!!:woohoo: :woohoo:

We met many great people on our 10 day cruise.:worship: :worship: David and Helen from England and Step5 just to name a few. I still keep in contact with about 5 families. :rolleyes1 :cloud9:

That's correct.
no that's not right- it can't be right! Look at the chest width- it says 34 inches for a 6xl! if it was like you're saying- that would mean it's only 17 inches across/34 inches all the way around- which would barely fit my 10yr old... an adult size 6xl! LOL

(when it says 34 inches it means across the front- not front/back circumference)

Man I wish I knew how to DIY and do tye-dye I SOOOO like that idea better than either black or white really. I dislike wearing black when it's hot. I have black capris but I'm not digging wearing a black shirt AT ANY TIME during our cruise. Okay except maybe pirates night since obviously I'm probably not gonna be able to wear a costume. And white- is not my favorite color for shirts either. Not even for myself but DEFINITELY not for the kids or DH for that matter. We don't do well in white..... because it doesn't STAY white if you know what I mean? Okay so they are sloppy eaters, so sue them. LOL

tye-dye sounds so great! *sigh.......*

I just remembered that I have black/red mickey crocs for me, DH and son... rita has pink ones. Why I didn't get anything for Ruby I don't know. hmmm... maybe they didn't have her size? LOL

You know what BIP...

... You and I must be on the same wave-length tonite cuz that's exactly what i wuz thinkin'... that I would prefer a tie dyed shirt.

I had considered doing a tie dyed shirt myself using techniques learned from UTUBE video tutorials. A good friend of mine did this (used utube for guidance) and got great results that carry personal meaning in the finished result!

Here is the utube list of videos: It's simple - just do a search on "tie dye how to" ... http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=how+to+tie+dye&search_type=

Gee...

I see just under 80 cabins listed here (including my little sub-group of 8 cabins) ... and I KNOW we gotta have more DIS friends and neighbors on this voyage! You see... Downrivermama, MrsScooby, pdarrah, radioclash2, tiggrbaby and I have gone to great lengths < collective groaning may commence > to purchase 200 custom semi-hand made magnetic dry erase memo pads... so I'd like to ask EVERY lurking friend on our voyage to sign up - maybe hang a home made paper bag off their "fish" or whatever so we can shower you with surprise "treats"... and maybe a custom made magnetic dry erase memo pad ... that can double as a fridge magnet dry erase memo pad if no one steals it (or your pen) off the door!

< Collective groaning may now subside - now all at once ... everyone "Wink" and grin please >

Seriously, we were hoping to have a "gift" of a Magnetic memo pad for EVERY DIS neighbor who informs us of their cabin number. SO, no fish extender is needed! Since what we have to give requires NO fish extender. Plus, our DIS gift serves a practical purpose of providing a convenient spot for messages and taunts to be left for you from friends, neighbors and rascally Semi-Innocent folks.

Just a question...those that are signing up are doing FE gifts..correct? My Mom and sister have their own cabin but did not wish to participate in the FE but are participating in the SM. Do they need to put something on their fish? I did not turn in their cabin number as I don't want people to feel they need to leave FE gifts when they are not doing so.

Thanks!

Here is a link to one of her posts where she links to a bunch of clip art if you want to do your own calendar.

http://disboards.com/showthread.php?p=25044647#post25044647

She posted it on the Cruise Magnet graphics thread so I think it's OK to use it.

Thank you so much for posting this link! I really enjoy designing our magnets (and doing some for others too!) I used to spend some time over on the DISigns forum, but now it takes all my spare time to keep up here.

So I have a question. Does anyone worry about posting too much personal info online like some people do? Like real full names and real cities that you live in?

What about for the magnets? It just seems like a bad idea to have all the first/last names on the door for everyone to see...

Has anyone ever had a problem with doing either of these? Maybe I worry too much!:confused3

I have always used our first names on the magnets and online - I avoid using our last name, but I realize that if someone really wanted to track us down, they probably could. I don't put our hometown on the magnets or by my avatar, but I do occasionally mention it, so someone could find it if they wanted... I've been online and meeting folks for a very long time (originally involved with Compuserve's forums and used to do an annual WDW meet with that group back in the 90's) and the vast majority of people we have met have been really nice. Luckily, we haven't encountered any real creaps - although there are probably as many out there as in the "real world"

Hi Everyone!

I just joined. We're booked on the TOAL Eastbound Panama Canal Cruise. We booked the first day( way back when) but I just started looking for information about the cruise and you certainly looked like a fun bunch. I managed to get a Palo brunch, tea and dinner and most of the shore excursions I wanted. We have everything but a stateroom assignment. How many of you are still just on a guaranteed status. We're guaranteed category 5. There is way too much information to go through to see if a lot of you are still at this status. It seems that if they are now selling more cabins they could at least get the original reservations a stateroom assignment. We're also interested in the Mr. Emerald Cartgena tour. We like to take a tour and then have some time to look around on our own and find the Hard Rock Cafes for souvenirs. Our anniversary happens to fall on the Puerto Vallarta day and I booked the Rhythms of the Night Shore Excursion. It seemed like a romantic thing to do. Is anyone on that excursion? I now noticed the Sunset Cruise and that sounds romantic too but it is now filled. This is going to be one great cruise and as you say a TOAL.

Welcome! Don't even try to keep up, just read a bit when you can and just right in and say "Hi!" The Pirate Zone website and discussion area REALLY help since the important info is there.

LOL
Well maybe all us "not in black" can still feel a kindred spirit in others not in black. But DH is trying to talk me into black. He likes black though. ugh

Do you and your DH have to wear the same color? Why not let him have Black and you and the kids can have whichever color you prefer?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to SK8TINGMOM'S 8 YEAR OLD DS

pirate: because this is just the BEST cake for this birthday!!!!

That's pretty cool.
I wanna figure out how to do one that the design in the tye-dye looks like mickey head.... yeah, that's what I want to do! Maybe not for the pirate shirts but just because. LOL

I'll have to see if our library has that book. Sounds like something DS would like. He loved the Harry Potter series...read the first book in the 1st grade. We also have a lot of books in our house!

Kim

Just FYI..the author is Angie Sage.

I think I would slip a typed version of the pledge on his/her desk........

Do you and your DH have to wear the same color? Why not let him have Black and you and the kids can have whichever color you prefer?

well no, I suppose we don't HAVE to.
but... we do tend to wear matching shirts when we're sure to be all 5 of us together (ie: when we go to the parks, when we went on excursions on the last cruise, on embarkation and debarkation days). And like I want him to be part of the group but the rest of us not? Uh, we rebel together- that's how our family rolls. LOL
(but even if we don't get the shirts for all of us -in black- for embarkation- i'm sure I'll still get him the black t to wear on pirates night and the rest of his life or until it falls apart because I know he'll like the shirt and it's BLACK- he loves black. sigh)

What color do we wear for NAKED RUGBY?:confused3

Yes, we are and yes, we did!!! And I am sad everytime I think about tDavid & Helen not being on this cruise with us!!!!! :sad2: I was soooo lookin gforward to doing more things with them -- because this time we wouldn't let David get sick and spend so much time in his cabin!
