Someone I was talking to about it later today said the same thing about coming in on a truck . . . that would make more sense than surviving the way across a bridge or tunnel on foot.

I'm trying not to keep talking about it on the Dis because you are all raccoon experts and not at all impressed, but it is still quite a topic here! My girls were sorry it happened after they were at school. For all we know, we passed right under the raccoon in the tree on the way to school but who thought to look up to check for raccoons?

I was shocked to see a coyote a few blocks from house one morning on my way to work. Definitely not a dog I finally got across to DH why the cat shouldn't be outside at all with these guys running around. I have yet to see a racoon here in VA though-maybe they just hide better here. We did have a skunk living under our front porch for a while Thankfully he moved cause the critter company we hired couldn't catch him

We bought the Canon S5 the other day. Haven't had a chance to open it yet and play with it. So now I'll be bringing the Canon, my Nikon D40, and my waterproof Pentax on the cruise. Plus Nicholas and Emily will be bringing their own cameras. DH thinks we're just a little nuts!

Sunkist was providing lemonade stands for kids who wanted to hold sales and donate the money to charity. You can go to the sunkist website..it is still posted there. Crash provided the info a few weeks back. My DD is raising money for St. Jude's Childrens Hospital

Ok..now I am being a pest to the lanyard company as much as I am to DCL!

I have confirmed that it takes approximately 4-5 weeks to recieve the lanyards..so that I don't stress about it and get plenty of time to order and recieve them - the deadline to order them from me is going to be next Friday the 23rd. I want to allow for if there is any errors that I can get a new batch in time. They have also informed me that the saying will go on twice if I have it under 60 characters so I chose:

Thanks! I wasn't sure who to use, so I went ahead & booked a private sedan from LGB with the discount code. It was only about $10 more than the shared van so what the hey!

they have to completely dig out all the canals to make them deeper ...Thats AOT of work , then they have to relay all the tracks ...I think they said it was going to take about 9 to 10 months ....

I get why they have to do it but did it have to be the ONE time we're going to DL? the summer that they take the cruise ships to DL? I mean someone with Disney wasn't thinking ahead on that one.... IMO
And she ain't gonna be happy. I'm just not gonna tell her till we're there so I don't have to hear the whining about it for 3 months. LOL

At least you'll still be able to see what an amazing difference there is between the one at Disneyland and the one at WDW....from the outside, anyway.
The inside is the same. Now they're making all of the boats bigger to accomdate the growing population. Or should I say the population's growing backsides??

Somehow I don't think my wee one is gonna care about the amazing difference on the outside- she wants to RIDE IT. haha

Shannon, I ordered them for the kids, even Nathan! I figure even if they don't wear them, they will be a nice (cheap) souvenir! (And, I'm betting that they will want to wear them.)

From what I've read, it seems that we can cancel any reservations for excursions that we make online. Is that right? Does anyone know when we have to cancel by to avoid being charged? Is it before we get on the ship?

I believe they will be also opening reservations for It's a Small World on Sunday night. There's expected to be a mad rush at the time, and most people will probably be on GTY status until well into next year. Demand will nevertheless be high, as there will be multiple ships cruising and the cruises, at 10-15 minutes, simply cost less than the equivalent DCL cruise.

The good news - a new DISboard section (IASW cruising) will be opening up to allow future voyagers to get to know each other. Personally, I'm going to try for a 3rd row outside seat on the 2:35 sailing on April 16, 2009. As a Castway club member, I'm hoping the gift will be nice and that I'll be able to get one of the shore excursions....
