Except I was explaining why we kept posting pirate smileys instead of explaining what getting an actual pirate was so I just look like a doofus!

Hehehe If I were that worried I wouldn't have asked! I could go back and read everything that was posted to this board before I joined, but that's a little much since I just joined last week when we booked I'm sure I'm missing lots of inside jokes...

Well the wonderful thing about this group is most things get repeated repeatedly hense the groundhog! So if you missed it once....you can be sure it will be back by again!

I am sooooo excited!!! My *House Party* stuff came today! I am having a Margaritaville House Party on Memorial Day. 24dd was also chosen and her party is going to be the day before!!! Here's what was in the package ---

Wow that Margaritaville smoothie maker is expensive! I know because I want one!!! Nice gifts!

I feel much the same way. I have an idea - we can create an artificial inside joke. All we have to do is pick a word or phrase and remember to laugh hysterically any time someone says it. For example:

"Remember the shoelace?!?!"

"Five deckchairs at a time!"

"The shots heard around the ship!"

Everyone will think it's an inside joke, even though it's a complete fake.
(Personally, I think many inside jokes are created in just this way)

Interestingly, my monkeys were rolling around on the floor punching each other in the head just mere minutes after serving me breakfast in bed.

I was wanting one too.... but, I was going to wait until Christmas to ask for it! LOL! DH couldn't believe that this was the *offer*!!! They had over 13,000 people apply and only accepted 1,000. DD & I couldn't believe that we were both picked!! I think they may have gone somewhat by zip code and we both live in *upscale* zip code areas.

I did a Bliss Chocolate party, also. I never did get the DCL pkg -- when they tried to deliver my pkg, UPS said it was an abandoned house. We didn't have stuff in the front rooms yet but, it wasn't adbandoned! We were just moving in!!! They didn't even leave a notice for me!!

Was just thinking about that as I just found out that starting June 1st, JetBlue is going to charge $20 for the 2nd checked bag and $75 for the 3rd.


Happy Mother's Day all! Heading ou now to take my mom out for breakfast. Hoping to find a place that gives out free flowers.

i'm a little behind on the reading but in case you didn't know jetblue will grandfather all who booked prior to the charging of the second bag.... i got that in writing from them. hope that helps

P.S. As people were leaving Mass yesterday, several wished me a Happy Mothers Day. Not quite sure how I want to take that!

We had a really wonderful dinner with Jordan's boyfriend and his family. First time we've all been together and it went really well. At least I managed to not make a fool of myself. I think. I hope. It looks as though these people will be her in-laws, so hopefully we'll all be able to be friends.

Reminds me of Mother's Day 18 years ago. DH and I took our parents out for a combined Mother's Day lunch and meet n' greet. DH proposed to me the next day.

OK...

... for what-ever reason I was unable to gt to sleep an hour ago - but now I feel like trying again.

Before I go I wanted to say I hope everyones' Mothers' Day weekend was wonderful!

Alicia had to work a Cancer 5K race sunday morning - so when we got to Disneyland later in the day she was so tired that we left her in the car to nap. I guess this was NOT expected - though wiser minds might have anticipated this. SO regretfully we left Mom to sleep a spell in the car... drat! So we hooked up with another family that was meeting us at the park and had a good day. Alicia joined us later and told me on the way home she was in good shape havinghad her nap in the car.

Saturday - I ripped a nice laceration in my foot at the hotel's poolside cabana. It seems the cabana frame work had a BASE PLATE in the shape of a triangle and a sharp corner was not bolted down properly.. so it riped my foot. I hobled down to the front desk to get it cleaned with a band aid of sorts. The hotel management responded with a full court reply - and I stressed to them I was OK, I didn't need an ambulance and that I was not "trying to squeeze them" for anything. Just they should probably have someone look at thier cabanas to ensure no kids get hurt like I did.

The hotel folks were probably concerned I'd sue them or something silly like that - and in the end they sent up a nice room service spread gratis.

Now at home the wound on my foot does not look so hot - but I trust it will be ok in a few days time. I might see my doc about checking when I last had a tetnus shot - or I just might have to go in for a booster. The sharp cabana frame plate looked nasty and dirty. Just my luck, eh?

On the PLUS side of things ... we just got our MONEY BACK from VISA for the ATA tickets to Hawaii. Remember, they ceased operations recently. That's $1500+ that shall now go to DCL shortly!

And ... and ... and .... I forgot what I was going to say... I think I might have just had a "senior moment"...

OK... I'l try to do some real catch up later maybe... i got a full plate today though, and may not try to catch up til tomorrow or so after all? I dunno... it's been one of those mornings here ... and it's gonna be one of those days later today, no doubt.
