We went to NHL All-Star game in St. Paul, MN in 2004. BNL were the opening act and did an intermission show. After the AS game, they had a private party inside this giant ICE castle built outside of the Wild's arena. You couldn't buy the tickets, it was invitation only. We were walking out of the arena and a young couple with a European accent offered their tickets to us. Temperature in the teens...snowstorm going on....Free Cider w/Rum and Irish Coffees....and BNL...Great concert!

That is way cool!! (pun intended)

I also love BNL. Saw them and the Black Eyed Peas on a Mom's Night Out in Providence, RI a few years ago.

Note to self: do not mix my DS8 and Mike's DS8. Neither one will ever be at fault.

Throw my DS8 (to be 9 on TOAL) into mix, he didn't bring his homework home because the teacher didn't give them enough time to gather it up.....

we were PIF as of last week - yay!:)

I asked DD about the kids club. She turns 11 a couple days after the cruise. This is probably a "groundhog", but she said she wants to move between the two groups depending on activity. I think I remember reading this is possible - but is it a pain or time consuming to switch back and forth? I am another parent who would feel better without the sign out on their own of the older group. I also mentioned that making friends would be easier if she stayed in one group. I will be watching the reports from Western and Mex Riv. cruisers closely for more info on how this will go!!!

:wizard: pirate:

We only got a quote for the cruise on a whim, got tier 1 pricing and said "where will we every get room and meals for 15 days/nights for four of us for under ...." we would have been foolish not to go....

Lets's see.... MATH ALERT!!!!

.. well.. sort of a math alert... (ding) ..... divide the $6,000 cost for 4 in a window cabin (after adjustment for TA and DCL cabin Credits) .... and you're paying $400 a nite. Estimate $50 for dinner/adult and $30 per child = $160. Estimate $25/adult and $15 per child for lunch = $80. And a flat $50 for breakfast = $290. Then $100 fer the room = $390. Then $2.50 per person for the shows and entertainment... and chuld care is free....

Yeah... it's a bargain.

Imagineer's list of Florida Mountains. Everest is the 18th
Disney Mountain. Can you name the other 17?

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad (CA, FL, Tokyo and Paris)
Space Mountain (All 5 Resorts)
Splash Mountain (CA, FL and Tokyo)
Matterhorn (CA)
Everest (FL)
Mount Prometheus (Journey to the Centre of the Earth - Tokyo)
and CyberSpace Mountain at DisneyQuest (FL) and Walt Disney Studios (Paris)

Okay, men, be honest.

If you were around in 1919 (just before prohibition started) and came upon the following poster.........

Would you quit drinking?

If my husband did not drink already....I think this would make him drink!!!;)
What a great picture......I think us women have come a long way!!!:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

:rotfl2: :banana::rotfl2: :banana: MY TURN-MY TURN!!!!!!:banana::rotfl2: :banana: :rotfl2:

:dance3: :dance3: :dance3: PIF:dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

Congrats Debi!!!:woohoo: Now it actually seems real.:thumbsup2

Me too!

I used to have big lime green scarfs tied on mine but the handlers would tie big knots in them (I guess they bugged them) and they got all ratty & torn. Now I'm thinking of putting some Mickey stickers all over them, but I doubt they'll stay. I wonder if I put glue over them if it would hold them better?

I usually just take lots of yarn and either braid it or just make a puff with it. It is cheap and does not come off!!! :woohoo: I have been doing this for thirty years!!:rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

Laurie it is either C5 or C6, pain is under my shoulder blade (scapula) right. I feel sorry for anyone that has to go through this. I have taken to Motrin around the clock instead of as needed (prn). I think this is helping. :cool1: I really don't want to do a course of prednisone.

I use a Tens Unit to ease my pain.:thumbsup2 I fell and I hurt right under the shoulder blade besides my neck and lower back!!!:sad2: :sad2: It was a lot of fun going through security with my Tens Unit.:rotfl2:

Nope. They do look a lot alike though.

And Ian with Escaping Mom Frances on the 11 Night:

Both are full of energy, but Ian's the one who was ALWAYS WET. Fully clothed and in the pool or in the ocean. In fact, you can't tell it, but he was soaking wet in this picture. And we were right in front of the Walt Disney Theater with Ducky Williams.

Ian was great!!!!!! I even conned him out of the special Trivia game pin becuase our buzzer did not work and we lost!!!:sad2: :sad2:

:yay: :dance3: :yay: Put us on the PIF list! :yay: :dance3: :yay:
.

:dance3: :dance3: Congrats Esteri!!!:dance3: :dance3:

I was basing my comments on fact that both club and lab move kids all over ship, including stops in OQ, Stack, etc.

OQ in the past was not a "program" place like the Club and Lab, just a place to hang. Since they are mixing ages up, I'm thinking they are running it like the Club and Lab.

If they think the kids in this age range will just hang there, they (the management on the ship) are going to have a very unhappy trip (I'm sending Cheryl after them).

I would be more than willing to handle DCL!!! They would be very afraid of me.

is that a caflouti???? (another funky word in keeping with last night's theme):wizard:

It is a German Pancake that is bigger than a dinner plate. It comes with lemon and powder sugar and is the best ever!!!!!:cheer2: :cheer2:

Crash........I paid over $6000 to take my trip to Hawaii for just the two of us for rooms and car rental for 14 nights.  My rooms ran over $400 a night at the Hyatts and Hiltons and all were not ocean view.:sad2: I used frequent flyer miles but I had to pay for all my meals which were not cheap!!!!:headache: I consider this TOAL at $7300 a real bargain and I have an ocean view all the time!!!:cheer2: :yay: :cheer2:

I asked this question on the main boards a couple of months ago as I wasn't sure about my DS13 who I thought would be wondering about the lab vs the Stack.

Anyway, a frequent poster posted that you can only change age groups one time per cruise. She recommended starting out in the older club and if they don't like it, switch to the younger group. I have no way to validate this information, but thought I'd post it in case anyone else has had the same or different experience.

Just a quick thought. We have all been worried about booking on 5/19 with the Wonder. Is it not true that once the Magic is in LA all of the Mexican cruises will be booking the same day as the Wonder since they will both be leaving on Sundays? :confused3 Anyone heard how the other summer bookings have gone?

Barenaked Ladies rule!!!

Ok, out of context...that could be .... nevermind

I saw the Barenaked Ladies in a club in Philly long before they had a record contract (circa 1993ish).

Emu!
On a side note. Emu oil is supposedly the latest greatest in diminishing scars. I have $50.00 per ounce for the stuff but it really appears to be helping.

Good point!

Then that is a past tense issue, most of them should have booked already

Then that is a past tense issue, most of them should have booked already

Exactly, so I have not heard of any booking problems in any of the Mexican cruise threads. Of course we have a much higher percentage of return cruisers on ours but maybe they have worked out the kinks.
